YOU COMPLETE ME
A Collaboration on poem by Curtis Moorman and James Edward Lee Sr.
My eyes look for you
My heart bleeds the truth
My spirit enters your soul completely
My mind is stayed on you
My lips speak your name softly
My arms remain empty without you
By doing the above
Reaching up
You complete me
~
My hands and my arms embraces you;
My mind regenerates those feelings;
Separated in heaven;
Birth here on earth;
Separated it hurts;
Come to me,come unto me my, darling
Hold my hands stare into my soul
Reaching up
You complete me

Curtis Moorman is seventy five today
And I hope everything goes his way
His family will spoil him that I know
He deserves some cheer, rightly so
Won a twist contest when he was seventeen
Again at sixty seven, he was the best on the scene
Saturday night fever comes to mind
Golden feet Curtis was one of a kind
He dances no more and that is a shame
Many from the old days will remember his name
He answered the call from Uncle Sam
Proudly served his country in Vietnam
I've known Curtis a short time from here on the soup
But we've got one thing in common, we're part of the group
He composes some beautiful poetry
See for yourself, I’m sure you’ll agree
So please join me and give him a loud cheer
I’ll toast him later with a glass of beer
Happy 75th Curtis, Have a great day.
