Why now a bad left ear?
With it not faint sounds hear,
Unless the makers near,
My interest in high gear…
But why: Once-Good Ear?
The next man knows my fear:
Some foe would at me jeer:
Men I’d failed to buy beer!
Gosh! A Real Bad left Ear,
In my Middle Ear Sear:
Towards Ear Drops now steer,
Aches wielding monstrous spear,
Who might save my left Ear?
Oh! Some nurse should me cheer,
To whom both ears are dear
All picked sounds should be clear,
Or I can’t glad face wear.

Touch my auricle
Send them down the canal
Beat my drums so that I can hear
Send them to my middle ear
Give me balance
That my mind can calculate
So we can live in harmony
I will send them back
The same as received
With sweet melodies
For if you touch my ear
You have also touch me
So, please sing to me
So, we can sing together

Red-headed, brown sugar drops on nose
Taller, taller, taller he grows
Big brown eyes, braces on teeth
Wax in ears, boots on his feet
(Observing my grandson sitting in the ENT office to be told that he has some
hearing loss from constant allergy, infections, and middle ear infections.)
