Premium MemberOf Passages on Pages of Time

Used books were sold each semester.
Los Angeles City College bookstore, and
California State University, Long Beach ...
They, too, sold used books.
I've been in possession of some -
Students felt fortunate stumbling on the right one,
For some classes commenced without certain books -
"Liberation Theology" was one such book-
I'd already own a copy signed by Dr. Cornell West
He spoke at Dr. Maulana Karenga's center one Sunday.

The point I want to make is:
Some used books held handwritten notes-
Students left their marks on pages of time.
And as the years passed, I formed a habit -
That habit told me not to borrow library books.
Why? I read, and like breeze with leaves, I twiddle words.
To deface another person's property... how trifling.
And so, I'd browse Barnes & Noble, and
Thrift stores housing books I would purchase and cherish.
For I know countless poems will come to mind
For I have seen haiku moments in my travels,
For when I die, find me on pages of time.

Love and Hate

Why lovers love has no fight?

And the haters hate has a wrath!

Let me compare lovers love to light.

And the haters hate is sloth.

Love is fruitful and insight!

Hate is lust, and da lust is short.

Love never says us to fight!

Love and hate are poles apart.

When you had a spiritual love, thou became Maulana Rumi!

Hate is hatred & maniac lust.

When your lover was God, thou became Maulana Jaami!

Don't hate anyone, because it is dust.

Love getting ahead, it is never lost!

Hate is decline, it is ever lost.

Politics and Corona

Corona is becoming a field
              For cultivating politics,
Political crop may be ripened
             Putting risk to the public.

Hindu-Muslim deadly virus
             Is dangerous than corona,
It is time for global piece
Not to do ‘Baba’ or ‘maulana’.

Man may be mortal
             But humanity remains alive,
Where humanity got raped
            Human chain can’t survive.

I adore innovative politics
            That strengthen our race,
We should leave that game
           That blackening our face.

Please don’t try to cut
           The branch where you sit,
Once arrow left from bow
            You lost control on it.

You may rule like ‘Hitler’
            Putting the nation in danger.
When nation will be ravaged
            It will become your killer.

Polio and small pox got killed
               Starvation taken long rest,
Please believe both God & science
                They will sure give best.

Don’t try to catch the fish
              Putting poison in water,
Once whole water will be poisoned
You will be no more forever.
