Malthus Poems | Examples

Premium MemberHorrific Or Terrific

Prolific used to refer primarily
    to people, animals and plants
  Those who produced abundant offspring
    like kittens, puppies, and ants

Today we hear about prolific authors
    Steven King comes to mind
But thanks to Malthus, Marx and Lenin
Folks in the West are disinclined

Premium MemberThe Virus Is Us

A fiesty Zen priest recently told me,
"Earth's most toxic virus is humanity".
Riding on this muddy blue ball so lush
could we only be a bit of carbon slush?
A tiny blink, a galactic tale untold
while on a grand scale not really that old.
So why, oh why is there all this fuss?
One must say, 'cause the virus is us!

There're nations' records to abhor,
pestilence seems too much to endure.
Wars started by ego, all should deplore.
Wars about divinity, hard to ignore.
Wars of ethnicity, need I say more?
We've seen this story for ages before.
So why, oh why listen to Malthus?
One must say, 'cause the virus is us!

We claim intellect dwells only in us,
nature covets secrets yet to discuss.
Predator strains from our primal soup,
failing incompetence, how low we stoop.
Live through virus pandemic reality,
then one asks, what sorts of fools are we?
So why, oh why are we stumbling thus?
One must say, 'cause the virus is us!

As a carbon-based life form, we dominate this sphere.
As earth's cosmic life goes on, we may no longer be here.

Familial Ties

genes swapped
stirred by unbounded love
family is born

bound by filial bonds
maternal and paternal
relations emerge

love, caring, support
joy and sorrow shared alike
life's music composed

echoing through ages
increasing genetic pool
Malthus' theory

you, me, and Genghis
bound by familial ties
family tree thrives

culture, colors, race
babble, blather, and blubber
siblings world-over

God Has No Good Owns

Every People bears a mouth and two hands,
No one born with mouths and single hand,
Feeding all people time to time is divine no disputes,
People trust on God but fail to know his actions is the dispute,
Starving turned into the worst of death,Malthus feared,
Malthus forgot-divine,God's plans and his two own hands,
People born not only to consume and wait for next meal,
People born also to toil and to make,Engels, challenged,
Hunger is a magic, put down some thrones of kings,
Hunger is an illness for which still tracing a cure,
The food in one plate enough to consume for Two,
The food in two plates enough to consume for two by two,
The food in four plates enough to intake Four by two,
Tiny black ants creeping beneath stones remain survive,
Eating peanuts like for God feeding each and every live,
But no good owns, owned by God is the truth all to believe!
