Wearing a snapback on the highway,
cherry-stained lips from a sno-cone.
I fill in the blank ‘Zip code hooray’.
I have been waiting to leave all day.
It’s finally time and my mind is blown,
wearing a snapback on the highway.
Cannot work this hard and not play,
carrying a bag and a palm stone.
I fill in the blank ‘Zip code hooray.’
Oh the thrill of being a runaway,
leading that group or at it alone.
Wearing a snapback on the highway.
Zero knowledge of where to stay,
I’m chasing a cabin and cobblestone.
I fill in the blank ‘Zip code hooray.’
Four tires on fire the world drifts away
as nature swallows my entire phone.
Wearing a snapback on the highway,
I fill in the blank ‘Zip code hooray.’
Zip your pocket
When you have taken too much
Zip your purse
When you have spent too much
Zip your mouth
When you have spoken too much
There is always a limit
And so a zip is invented
By the genius
In the name of God
For your own sake
To put a bar to your greed
To control your overspending
To prevent a slip of your tongue
But sometimes there is an exception
Never zip your love and affection
From your family
Never zip your sympathy, kindness and help
From the people in need
Never zip your piety
From the almighty god
Eureka, so many metaphorical meanings
Of the zip in our lives
Zip-Code Pi
(The Sweet Flesh of Temptation)
David J Walker
Zip-code Pi
Is where I will
receive my mail
Mark it eternal
Where the white-gowned crowd
With pipe cleaner halos
Cleanse and censor every lens
And line to erase
Any reference to God’s mistake
Making our bodies so holy that
Not even we should touch them
I will swim in the firmaments frost
Where the Host collects our thoughts
At the cost of no uncertain discerning’s
before entering His temples
I remember the sweet downfall of
The dimples that presented to me
My first apple
And I did eat
The sweet flesh of temptation
A thousand wishes propel out of your eyes
Oblivion is the mysterious place where it goes
Your lips do not vibrate to eject words
But gets zipped to suffer like silent birds
Your mind is a labyrinth of thoughts
Some of them rendered you sleepless nights
Your sensitive heart brimmed pure love
Sometimes they got punished for being naive
Every cell in your body sprays serene juice
Your whole existence is a colossal sacrifice
Your positive vibe can ensnare anyone
Your existence can replace the addictive smartphone
You smiled enamoured by the silent breeze
You can steal hearts with your killer gaze
Your expressions can discern your inner feelings
Your innocent look has no endings
Don't forget to zip your zipper.
Said thee old whipper snapper.
Life's too short, so be a good sport.
While we head to a resort.
After the high school prom tonight.
We can make whoopee, under a pine tree.
After I take you by the hand.
Then we'll see buckets of golden nuggets,
flowers and daffodils.
The we'll see puppets, all playing their trumpets,
very load and strong from the band.
So don't forget to zip your zipper.
Said thee old whipper snapper.
Life's too short, so give me all your support.
Before we head to a resort.
And before, we make love in the ocean sand..
