Showers* of blessings…
crystal treasures from heaven
poured by the Source of bounty
nurture creation with water wealth
enabling Spring bloom, glow and abundance.
With Spring showers
bestowing gracious hope
we behold gems of newness
as buds, bulbs and blossoms sprout
declaring the Creator’s magnificence.
Midst Spring showers’ delight
our hearts are filled with gratitude
cheered by gardens radiating floral hues
and vegetable plots bursting out with crops
beautifying landscapes, endowed by the Almighty God.
Along Spring showers’ flow
beyond vibrant drizzling’s impact
our faith in the Lord keeps on growing
vanquishing dearth to conquer lack-angst
since contentment-peace blends with sufficiency-bliss.
*Zechariah 10:1 Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.

On this day when
One walks outside
The fumes are coming off the roads
The mountains appear full of smoke
Dust is flying around seeking relief
Many seek for shade but none found
Oh, ye clouds that look promising
But they pass by
The earth is in thirst
Suffering for the sins of man
But for those which seek
Beyond their horizon
The living water is found within
Springing forth new life
No longer seeking outwardly
But inwardly to manifest
The Lord's unseen fountain
That is in our midst
Producing fruit of the spirit
“In that day the mountains will drip new wine, and the hills will flow with milk; all the ravines of Judah will run with water. A fountain will flow out of the Lord’s house and will water the valley of acacias.
Joel 3:18 NIV
“On that day a fountain will be opened to the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to cleanse them from sin and impurity.
Zechariah 13:1 NIV
Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”
John 7:38 NIV

[7] Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the Lord of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?
May, God return unto the hearts of man
We have been given access through Christ
Sadly, so many plea for his return
While, in blindness of we need to return
To show this new living spiritual being.
Loving all for just as I, was lost in deception.
Turn from these wicked ways
Through the promised inheritance Spirit
To reign, mold and purify within.
If we could please God in own works
Jesus death and all the gospel is vain.
May, God bring the Living Children of God
In Unity to show the love through
The spirit that draws them together.

[9] For what thanks can we render to God again for you, for all the joy wherewith we joy for your sakes before our God; [10] night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith? [11] Now God himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you. [12] And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you: [13] to the end he may stablish your hearts unblamable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.

The Lord is our mighty God
He stands up for us against Satan
he is the arch-enemy of all time
but His angel is our mighty nation
Like Joshua, we've filthy garments
the Lord's angel looks at our tents
removes them in an instant
putting on new pure vestments
Joshua then received assurance
from the angel of the Lord
who stood by him there
such sweet peace to afford
Then Joshua was challenged
to keep charge of God's ways
for if he did, a branch would appear
so important to do what He says
The key lesson here to learn
God's ways are always best
no matter what we may think
trust and obey sealed on your nest
(Zechariah 3: 1-10 (ESV)
Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him. And the Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebuke you, O Satan! The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is not this a brand plucked from the fire?” Now Joshua was standing before the angel, clothed with filthy garments. And the angel said to those who were standing before him, “Remove the filthy garments from him.” And to him he said, “Behold, I have taken your iniquity away from you, and I will clothe you with pure vestments.” And I said, “Let them put a clean turban on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the Lord was standing by.
And the angel of the Lord solemnly assured Joshua, “Thus says the Lord of hosts: If you will walk in my ways and keep my charge, then you shall rule my house and have charge of my courts, and I will give you the right of access among those who are standing here. Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, you and your friends who sit before you, for they are men who are a sign: behold, I will bring my servant the Branch. For behold, on the stone that I have set before Joshua, on a single stone with seven eyes, I will engrave its inscription, declares the Lord of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of this land in a single day. In that day, declares the Lord of hosts, every one of you will invite his neighbor to come under his vine and under his fig tree.” )
The image of demise refined,
Thus, my body was confined
So dismal, doleful and discomfited
Although the wicked wish went awry
But, I still weighed 'I may die'.
Suddenly, I saw my soul stalled;
After a short time, it questioned,
"Are you aghast of death?"
This question remained on my eye,
As my tears said 'I may die'.
For whether we live,
We live unto the Lord;
And whether we relive,
We relive unto the Lord
We live or die, we are the Lord.
With this,
Confidence reported like
There is nothing worse than death
Death is assured;
Thus, we must feel 'I may die'.
You run after riches,
On the floor of the fallen men;
Remember you shall die like men,
And fall like one of the princes
What'll be your gain if you die?
Your father,
Where is he?
Does your prophet live forever?
With your power, the world is slave
Don't you think 'if I die?'
As it was,
The body will devolve by the earth
Whatever you call yourself;
Always remember,
'I may die'.

Written words by James Edward Lee Sr. 2021©
I, Zechariah, was a faithful priest.
My, wife, Elizabeth, and I were known
for following God’s laws unfailingly.
No veering from the Scriptures, we’d condone.
Though we were blessed, there was a painful void.
My wife could not bear children. Long I’d prayed,
“Please give us, Lord, a child.” But we grew old,
without a miracle of life displayed.
According to set customs for the priests,
the lot of burning incense fell to me.
While people at the Temple prayed outside
this area, an ANGEL I did see!
I was afraid. The Angel said, “Fear not,”
and added that my wife would bear a son.
We were to name him John. He would bring joy
to many. Through him, God’s work would be done.
Filled with the Spirit even in the womb,
in God’s eyes he would be considered great.
He’d turn the hearts of many back to God
and make paths for the coming Savior straight.
My doubt was clear: “We’re old. How can this be?”
“God sent you this good news,” the Angel said.
“I’m Gabriel. Due to your unbelief, . . .”
What followed filled my heart with shock and dread!
“You will be mute till after John is born.”
I’d lingered with my duties for so long
that others at the Temple wondered why.
I couldn’t speak to tell them what was wrong!
God kept His promise, as He always does.
Elizabeth gave birth. Some kinfolks thought
that he should have my name, but she said, “NO!
His name is John.” Then my desire was sought.
“His name is JOHN!” I wrote. My tongue was loosed.
I praised the God of Israel with joy.
Filled with the Spirit, I then prophesied
about His plans for our new baby boy!
