With Spring's gentle sway, my thoughts take flight,
As weather stirs our festive mood with delight,
Strong winds shake trees, leaves dance and sway,
Like late October's colors on a grand display.
As heaven stirs passions with its cosmic play,
And desire whispers as the world waxes away,
Our love moves on, my fairest maid,
Whose heart speaks the same words as mine conveyed.
God approves, as roses bloom with grace,
But some creatures may spurn love's warm embrace.
I confess, as clouds weep and roses grow,
My love for you burns with a radiant glow.
In humble sin, I confess my love with ease,
With unworried hand and lips, like pilgrims on their knees,
That touched a rough touch with a gentle kiss,
And found love's treasure, in moments of bliss.
Inspired by Aboriginal Story: Phases of the Moon - Ngalindi, the moon starts as a lean, young man. He overindulges (waxes) and becomes lazy. He grows fat, becoming the full Moon. His wives, displeased by his laziness, chop bits off him with axes, causing the Moon to fade away to nothing. Ngalindi hides in the dark for three days. After his penance, his light returns. It fills the New Moon, and the cycle starts again in the night sky.
lean moon-man rising
silver skin waxing in stride
girth begins to swell —
his crescent face beams on earth
calling tides to match his plight
Feast and sloth take hold
glutton grows fat and lazy
fills perimeter —
shapes the tide to spring full glut
beckons the dingoes to howl
Fierce-eyed wife rebels
driving bloated moon away
grips a sharp light axe
hacking and splitting the glow
silver shards tumbling below
waning moon retreats
fleeing the unyielding wrath
to hide in dark night
all his bright light bleeds away —
leaving the moon black as pitch
three nights he's empty
fugitive in star-flung sky
tides bereft of pull —
then silver embers re-flare
waxing light into his veins
the wheel turns once more
torn and mended, lean to full
the moon strides the sky —
on the path moon knows by heart
transgression now forgiven
I perceive her as fire, not too smokey,
But glossed enough to burn my desire
Of illicit pleasure to fill empty pathways
Isolated by glass, guarded by egg shells
Only the waves know this rapture,
Only the stars hear loud groans, moans.
Although the warmth or heat is rented,
My own misery or despair erased
As her thighs waxes on mine, slow
Then fast in the restless grind of hours;
We take little drops of wine
Before sunlight begins to rise over sheets
Crumbled by dusky lust, maybe an ounce of love--
She, draped in mannequin's thin wrap
Is delicate and tough with a heart
Unavailable for constant ardor---how could
Her past release all those silent wails?
And while I button her second-hand dress
Our next rendezvous is done, again--again
The comfort of a lifeless marriage
Allayed by the harlot of my nights.

We were never a couple,
though some may say
or think we were,
but we were the best of friends.
Growing up together
we shared both mischief and challenges
that married couples and lovers
could never understand.
Children’s secrets and adventures
shaped us to who we were
and life began to change us,
hand in hand.
There were those times
when we went our separate ways
and on occasion touched
by letter or by phone.
Somehow we found our way back
to those shared dreams and hopes of home
in what seemed
a lifetime of long ago.
It seems the years
have not managed to change
or keep us apart
despite our different paths and views.
Friendships both waxes and wanes through time
but no truer friend than you
can ever again
be found.
I lie awake, engulfed in your memories
Drunk in bliss that only my fancy creates
It's vivid in my mind how your presence made me grin,
How your hackneyed jokes still rolled me laughing.
How we waited for the full moon,
And gazed at the stars begging for them to fall.
Even listened to the thunder roaring, found the lightning amazing.
How we kissed as we danced in the rain
But here in my reality
Thoughts of you bring me joy,
Yet pound my brooding heart to bleed.
There's no more joke for me to laugh
No more stars to fall
No moon that waxes, only wanes
And thunder sounds like my loudest cry
As I am being deluged in my own rain of tears
My mind thinks I am brave, but my heart believes otherwise
The pain is pierced, like the sharpest spear
Deep into my heart, down into my soul,
But I have to heal
Heal myself from my desolation
I will get through,
I'll get over you
And when I do
My mind may still vividly remember,
But my heart will surely forget.
Magnolia bloom pale
white like moonlight
hurricane shutters creek
a sultry night wanes
restless sleep
ceiling fans beat
quiet absent rhythm
a soft breeze
I lay awake watching
the moon rays creep
across a barren wood floor
finding its way to the corner
I cannot silence my restlessness
Troubled is my sleep
as the moon glows softens
A silhouettes leaves
Sliver silence soft in its wake
always falling across the door
the beat of the fan the rhythmic
tattoo of tic tac rattle n hmmm
magnolia blooms like moonbows
as dust drifts spinning falling across
covers the floor reflexs ghosts
In my sleep
the mantle white
the dust thick silence in the heat
drift across
fallen were it reeks
twelve of the clock
all alone in the house
Silent in this oppressive season
restlessness in my dreams
Of magnolias drifting in memory
Throughs of imagery faded photographs
loom at the passing of the moon
as Magnolia bloom pale
white like moonlight across
hurricane shutters
Screen doors creek
a sultry night wanes
As a moon in silence waxes
restless is my sleep
Listening to the ceiling fans beat
quiet absent rhythms
soft breezes drift
wile I lay awake
watching
without-
the waning sun
warms my face
shalom cloaks
the wells within
with a tremor of light-
daybreak tinges
the nigrescent sky grey-
the horizon appears
distinct in my mind's eye
on the wind
a bell tolls
memories surface-
words unerased
the image fades
huddled together
from the sheeting rain
the unbrellas mob the hearse-
then in twos
slowly separate
spoor tracks
imprint
the virgin snow-
footsteps of yesteryear
echo in my mind
the diary
fell
pages scattered the floor
memories lie
just out of reach
chill breath
of dawn lights
upon my window-pane
nighttime's promises
freeze into crystal
above the still strand
shrieks of seagulls
die on the inshore breeze-
our twin footsteps disappear
as sunset dissolves
november the fifth-
layered rolls of liquid fog
envelope the bonfire-
the party becomes a
damp squib
a single owl screech
breaks the silent
November night-
the Hunters moon
waxes blue
Summer,past its best,
pampas reaching heavenward,
trees about to rest-
Japanese anemone
as far as my eye can see
hanging from the trees
winter fog welcomes the dawn
and obscures the light--
cobwebs shimmer
necklaced to the hedge
Our prez is now Donald J Trump
Who has promised to clean out the sump
Well he's certainly no wussy
When groping a pussy
What more to expect from a gump?
In charge of the Vice, Michael Pence
Said some things that embrace little sense,
"Global warming's a myth"
But's now taking the fifth
In attempting to straddle the fence
We all recall general Flynn
Put in charge of security spin
A trained atomiser
No more Trump's advisor -
His deal with the devil's his sin
The billionaire Betsy Devos
Making plans for a school albatross
Hating free education
Backs private castration
And kids will be bearing her Cross.
The Congress approved Jeff B. Sessions
Ignoring his racist obsessions
He seemingly cares
More for foreign affairs
While forgiving Klan's toxic transgressions.
Chief strategist Stephen K. Bannon
Develops the Great Again Canon:
The Goldman Sachs Bankster
Turned yellow rag gangster
Flings crap from the New Order cannon
Says EPA ruler Scott Pruitt
"Instead of dry facts, we intuit..."
(His work as denier
Keeps profits much higher)
"... If everything dies, well, just screw it"
The war whoops of Mad Doggy Mattis
Awaken the death apparatus
With boundless expense
For a doomsday defence -
Armageddon administered gratis
The magnates no longer need lobby
Or fight regulations thought snobby -
Now set in the saddle
They're herding the cattle
And pulling the strings as a hobby
Now the Don can start wielding the axes
Truncating the tariffs and taxes
The Mafia boss
Is dismissing the dross
And poverty's pain as it waxes
~SHELTER FROM TH' STORM~
TWISTING INTO VORTEX,MY VISIONS VANISH TO NAUGHT
THUNDERHEADS ROLL VIOLENTLY,AS VORACIOUS DINS RING A TOLL
TH' DARKNESS...NOW FEEDS FEROCITY'S MAELSTROM
BURSTING AT MY SEAMS,TO CHALLENGE REALITY
STIGMATIC WOUNDS,PROFUSELY NOW POUR
LIFE BECOMES DEATH,AS I PLEAD FOR MY DELIVERANCE
REGRET OF MY BIRTH,FEEDS A YEARNING
FREEDOM ONCE AGAIN,FROM TORTURE...I PLEAD
DAMN MY MORTALITY,I DESIRE NO MORE
TO BE LOOSED FROM BOND OF FLESH,MY SPIRIT GROANS
A TRAUM'D PAST,WAXES NOSTALGIC
CONCEIVED ONCE MORE...THEN REBORN
DEMON'S SEED PLANTED AGAIN,SEARING RAIN BLEEDS
TH' STORM GALES TOSS ME,TO N' FRO' TO BREAK
THOUGH SEEK I A SHELTER,NOT ONE BEACON SHEWS
MINE EYES THAT KNEW BEAUTY,ARE NOW BLACK'ND BLIND
A WHIRLWIND NOW FORMS,DRAWING ME FORTH
DEBRIS PULVERIZES MY PSYCHE',AS IT SWALLOWS ME IN
ONE NOW WITH THIS CYCLONIC SATAN,I SEEK TO DESTROY
BUT AN EYE APPEARS FROM TH' CENTER...OF PUREST LIGHT
PIERCING MY HEART...RELIEF COMES AT LAST
TH' STORM NOW CEASED,I FALL AS I GASP
HANDS APPEAR 'NEATH ME,AS SAVED I'M AGAIN...
FROM CEASING LIFE'S BREATH...BY TH' TRUEST OF FRIENDS

Charred in solace of your embrace
reminiscences engrossed as imprint
harboured in placards of your grace
A birth, a thousand with no squint
in winter's pure pour of snow
reminiscences engrossed as imprint
Giggling with nights glow
in waxes and treelights
in winter's pure pour of snow
One who ignites in delights
grining in fire and refuge
in waxes and treelights
A festivity of tunes and rouge
that twirls in vitality
grining in fire and refuge
Presents reciprocated in sib purity
charred in solace of your embrace
that twirls in vitality
harboured in placards of your grace
