Families: the Most Important Social Unit

Families are the most important social unit in existence on earth today. For it is out of the
family that every worker, teacher, preacher, agnostic, librarian, construction worker, mason,
mayor, Senator, Congressman, President, World Leader, mothers, fathers, and yes, every
man and woman who fills an occupation (or not) grow to be the individual that they are.

Families are important because the beginning of all feelings originate right there in the
home. A newborn child may feel the love and affection of adorning parents. Or, if the
parent is a drug addict or mentally challenged, the child will have a different experience, an
unpleasant one that no child deserves. We are what we choose. And our choices teach the
young ones.

There are a myriad of variables that influence an individuals feelings of self-worth, good or
bad. The family is the place where love and care are learned and shared. Anger
management, good or bad, is taught by example. Manners, good or bad are taught or not…it
depends. Everything that a man or woman becomes has its roots in the family.

So, given this, let us all work together as parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, grandparents,
nieces, nephews, cousins, and even friends to become the best possible individuals within our
families that we can. Let each of us strive for peace in the heart, the home, the city, the
nations, the world. Because we are all God’s children. And we deserve the best possible
life. A little bit of heaven on earth can happen if everyone does their part to live, love,
forgive, and enjoy what God has given them.

Heartstone Awakeing Part 1

to heartstone , we travelled
with our child
we crossed the bridge of the morning star
left our home at the place of the rising moon
a new child to be blessed
in the great hall
to be seen
by kings and queens
by all

to the forests of redwood
to the east of the mountains
we came to the stream of sighs
the beauty of trees
eagles in magical skies
through the meadows
fields of flowers
blue butterflies around
shining blue
they knew she was here
faeries flew

my moondust carried our girl
to the door
colours flying
all of heartstone love, to unfurl
that a child could carry
everything that mattered in this world
the doors opened wide
the princesses of heartstone
took us inside
stars flew
magic coursed through
flower petals fell
such joy
what we brought in to this world
under a tiny girls’ spell

the summer queen bent down
kissed the tiny girl
a summer birth at dawn
she held her
tears in her eyes
spoke gently
“with this child heartstone is reborn”

pure and bright
as a heartstone starry winter night
the girls’ smile shone
as she lay in the summer queens’ arms
we all looked on in delight
my moondust was serene
the heartstone in the great hall
began to glow
wondrous light emanating
unusually beautiful
for this was the realizing
of a special queen

never a child so young
had been made
to become a queen
that she would rule
all of the forest of richest green
her time had begun……
the heartstone was brought to the tiny girl
she smiled with delight
with the knowing look of the wise
she touched the stone
stars burst forth
in bright amethyst light

The Last King of Scotland

If you live always as a child and never let the mind grow, what type of seeds will
you then sow?

That of fantasy and selfishness is how a child can think, not understanding how
ideas can sink.

Without knowing how to decipher the reasons for why things are the way they
turned out to be.

Darkness shadows the light that shows the path to growth and peace.

If we live without consequences as a child believes, then we live with intolerance
and lies.

For only through knowledge can our world and our humanity survive
