WISH UPON A STAR
eyes drawn upward —
like a candle on a cake
first birthday or too old
the lottery is billions upon billions
tickets bought
blowing dandelion seeds for surety
tremor of seedlings like flesh
burning your palm
wanting your death
one star stands out amidst the myriads
richer than all kings
waiting for the poor in spirit
to rejoice with open arms
while money strangles the sea
crushed and fluid plastic —
even the wisest heart pinched
the saint patiently waits
for the sweetest answer
placed in folded hands
and worn out knees
a Father smiles and grants
eternity and all the treasury
the inheritance overflows
a luckless star fizzles
the blessed one glows

Day's knife is in night’s sheath
The moon's eye is covered.
She sits over their scattered bones
Feeling only the cold dirt
And the swirling fog.
Her hand grips for the hilt
And she hears the singing blade.
The flails are only for threshing now,
Passions are muted.
Those that swarmed with her
On these hills
Wait for her command,
Her voice to sing out over the field
And raise them up.
It is worth dying here again for you.
Each next day
she puts down her basket,
kneels down to fill it, full.
“Things grow well under
Your hands” he says, proudly.
She stands alone now,
The day done,
Hands on hips,
Baby in the grass
Feeling the blood surge
And hearts flame.
They are ready to storm with her over the potatoes
Turnips, onions
laughter and moans filling the air
With the sound of sweet, sweet
Battle.
My love, my love
Has gone with the winds;
My heart, my heart
Stands here ever still….
Those trade winds blows east
Gone with the wind;
My love, my love now east
She has gone and left me alone here
Emotions flying, spinning around as a hurricane
Trade winds blowing in my mind, in my mind;
I find it too hard, too hard to find;
My ears are ringing, my heart stop singing;
Trade winds blowing in my mind
Emotions flying, spinning around as a hurricane
I loved her I even wrote her litters;
She left me to fine another boy better, better;
I’d crawl for her;
She even had the nerve;
To threaten me said she was going to reveal in me;
All those wrongs that I’ve done, I’m so alone…
My love, my love
Has gone with the winds;
My heart, my heart
Stands here ever still….
Those trade winds blows east
Gone with the wind;
My love, my love now east
She has gone and left me alone here
Emotions flying, spinning around as a hurricane
Trade winds blowing in my mind, in my mind;
I find it too hard, too hard to find;
My ears are ringing, my heart stop singing;
Trade winds blowing in my mind
Emotions flying, spinning around as a hurricane
these trade winds blowin in my mind

Tall and pure oasis
So much has changed
You remain constant and lovely
Gentle, morning green grass
Breaks like waves, laps at the shores
Of white, gray, and yellow stones
Towering above me, silent and sure
Chiseled marble, granite spires, oak
Wrought iron, your scent is old
A familiar volume I keep close to me
The reflections in your pools
Still glass, not a leaf disturbs
Irises cling to your walls
The distance beyond you sways
Spreading lazily into shade trees
Sun-tinted pastures and weathered fences
I walk with reverence, still, after so long
Your ground is my sanctuary
It houses my past
I am a child forever in front of you
I carry quiet things
which I keep in my pocket
as folded notes
that I never read
but I always keep with me.
The sound of a laugh
that didn’t last long enough
the way the sky looked once
when everything felt possible
some days
i am made of questions
stacked like unfinished homework
what if
why not
when will it make sense
other days
i am just breathing
in
out
like that is enough
like that is everything
I have learned
that growing feels a lot like breaking
but softer
slower
like cracks in glass which remain hidden
until the light strikes at the exact moment.
I keep going forward
through all obstacles.
I exist
between the loud sounds
and the complete quietness
that exist between my past self
and my future self
my authentic self
stands under the sun
without any fear.
The person who waits
for me to arrive
has always believed
that I would reach this destination.
Her independence deferred
History wipe, silenced in denial
Component of family unit secure
Current form stands as emblem
Entirety kindly quiet unheard
Cleansed of horror occured
Corpses buried won't stand trial
Heinous parade she could endure
Hosts pretense without problem
Outline dent, identity blurred
Safe matriarch role preferred
Sedating sandarac sent via smile
Dizzying aphrodisiac calamine cure
Disarming smooth cabochon gem
Exhibits traits 1950's referred
Dissolved scrag, unburdened
Drama curtains pull closing titles
Screenplay prosperity props are pure
Scripted mid century holds them
Outcast character murdered

Here sits a lady so fine and fair,
In the woods, with bright flowing
hair.
Her mind fades from reality,
As she focuses on a wild lily.
As she raises her eyes,
The once blue skies,
Are now purple, with two suns
And instead of one, 4 moons.
As a large butterfly flies by in the air,
It turns to an alien bird with rainbow
hair;
And a once pine tree is now blue and
brilliant.
Streets of stone fade over the
horizon distant.
She stands on the edge of a great
cliff;
And smells of death she begins to
sniff,
As she looks over a large battle field,
Weapons fire large blasts of great
yield.
As one flare fires strait for where she
stands,
She off the cliff and plunges toward
land.
As she nears the ground of that alien
place,
She returns to the world which has
relevance.
What am I without myself?
I have been discarded
Like trash into a bin
But I cannot rest
For I wonder, what am I without myself?
What makes me, me?
If not the faint and distant thoughts
The caged and free
The parts of me that can't be seen
If I let go of myself
There stands an empty shell
Devoid of all emotion and desire
A shell devoid of myself
Because what am I without myself?
What am I without memories?
Nothing...
What am I emotion?
Nothing...
What am I without the pain?
Nothing...
What am I without myself?
Not only nithing
Just a body with no one inside
Without myself I am a shell
A house with no people
A library with no books
A church without a steeple.
Without myself-
I am the little something
Within the lack of everything
If the destination truly belongs to you,
then you must have the courage to walk alone.
Not every dream is found in the comfort of a crowd,
some are earned in silent rooms where no one is watching.
A lifetime can be wasted searching for someone to save you.
Become your own strength, your own support, your own reason to keep moving.
Yes, there will be days when you stand completely alone,
but I have learned to turn my loneliness into my greatest power.
There will be nights when even you begin to doubt yourself,
when every step feels heavier than the last.
In those moments, gather the broken pieces of your courage,
stand up once again, and return to your work.
So keep walking,
even when no one walks beside you.
Do not stop,
even if the whole world stands against you.
Because greatness never waits for a crowd.
It is built by those who create their own path,
and by the time the world finally notices them,
they are already far beyond the horizon.
Poets Are Wonderful People
They are the cry of the unheard.
Wonderful persons are poets
the apple of many eye's ...
lOVE surrounds you.
You are protected by much
positive energy
emitted through prayer.
you can only partake
If you are certain it is there
Once you realize
your own worth
and acknowledge it
remember to receive.
the blessings of
the uni- verse
The uni-verse will hear
your verses and unite-verses.
with like minded beings.
The"Wind of Change" is always blowing.
visions may not always be as it seems
Somewhere birds are singing,
on this earthly plain,Water gurgles
as voices still struggle to be heard;
And as the seed pushes painfully
through the concrete you cannot hear
it's woes or silent screams.
And we only see the beauty when it
blossoms and stands alone,stronger
than all the coddled flowers in the garden.
And we in awesome amazement think
how am I connected to this dream...
The will to succeed is stronger than
the will to merely exist.
And to the universe we
chant our united verses.
let the poet people say ...ASE'
