JESUS THE TRUE VINE

I'm in this world, but I'm not of it;
I'm a dandelion, I am a weed;
Just grass full of sin;

One day I listened to the wind;
One day I listened to the wind;
As it spoken I heard the voice of Jesus say...
Jesus says “I am the true vine;
Yes I am
And my Father is the gardener
Jesus tells us I am the true vine;
And my Father is the gardener
Jesus is the true vine,oh yeah
Jesus is the true vine, yes He is
Jesus is a true vine oh! yes He is
He is my true vine and His Father is the gardener
He is my true vine and His Father is the gardener

Premium Member God Gave His Son's Life For You and I -

For this is how God loved the world:
Oh, this is how God so loved the world;
That He gave
 He gave, He gave

Yes, He gave, He gave, He gave
He gave His only
Only
One…
Yes, He gave, He gave His only
Begotten Son

His one and only Son,
so that everyone who believes in Him
will not perish
But
Have
Eternal
LIFE-LIFE

Yes, He gave, He gave, He gave
He gave His only
Only
One…
Yes, He gave, He gave His only
Begotten Son

So that you and I
You and I
I and you
All of humanity
Will be and shall be Saved
Yes, my our Jesus died on the tree
One the cross for you and me

My God’s Son
Emmanuel
Died and hung on the cross
That we might all be free
Free from sin
Free from dead
To live eternally…

For this is how God loved the world:
Oh, this is how God so loved the world;
That He gave
 He gave; He gave His Son’s life
For you and I
Hallelujah

Premium Member A World Apart Yet We Have the Best of Everything

I am encapsulated by your love
Dramatized uncleaned in a soap opera
A World Apart, yet we have The Best of Everything
You are my Guiding Light
You are my Love of Life
Awaiting The Brighter Day
This I must certainly say
With In The Secret Storm
I submitted rest assured
We together Search for Tomorrow
It's hard to be away from you

In The Edge of Night, As the World Turns
In this The Clear Horizon, A Flame in the Wind
Oh, my darling I will promise you anything
Never Too Young, Bright Promise
Though we're The Young and the Restless

A World Apart, yet we have The Best of Everything

Engulf in those Dark Shadows
As we forever long to be forever, together
Throughout Somerset One Life to Live
As I give, as I give
Witnessing the battles

Passions of this Another World
Love Is a Many Splendored Thing
Rituals The Bold and the Beautiful Loving

The Doctors at General Hospital have tried to fix my troubled heart
The City for Generations in these long Days of Our Lives

A World Apart, yet we have The Best of Everything

Those The Nurses helping doctors
Keeping our love heal and sharp
Passions of this Another World
Love Is a Many Splendored Thing
Rituals The Bold and the Beautiful Loving

Hopes of marriage proclaiming our love
Procreation, producing All My Children
From Texas Santa Barbara
In Port Charles on Sunset Beach
It's Ryan's Hope to win you back Capitol

You are my Guiding Light
You are my Love of Life
Awaiting The Brighter Day
This I must certainly say
With In The Secret Storm

Premium Member Words Are To Writers

Words are to writers like flowers to bees,
Oil to engines and thank you to please.
They may be as heavy as concrete or lead
Or light as feather and thoughts in our heads.

They may cut like a knife and bite like a snake,
Or purr like a kitten and calm all our aches.
Letters combined in word perfect tense
Lift humanity higher like pauper to prince.

Words are like paint before canvas lay bare
In the hands of the artist, eternity’s there.
Waiting to brush one more story-book tale
From right of nowhere, words take to sail.

With wind from the writer and ink from the pen,
Destinies change for women and men.
From The Iliad and Odyssey to Paine’s Common Sense,
Plato’s Apology to Shelley’s Poetic Defense.

From Genesis to Leviticus and Matthew to St. John,
Aristotle’s Ethics to White’s Trumpet of the Swan.
From the US Constitution to King’s “I Have a Dream,”
Words are to writers as air is to breath.

They transcend human consciousness
And send us well past Mars,
Making movies, plays and music move us
To the moon and stars.

The possibilities are limitless
When words are focused clear;
If one merely stops to think it through:
They’re always waiting near.

Important Apostrophe and a Tenant who is a Mysterious Lady

It should have said St John’s - with that apostrophe!
So many omit the little mark.
How could they, when its presence or absence
gives us one meaning or the other?

A tenant within these apartments
who is a mysterious lady,
placed the absent apostrophe on that poster,
kept this nighttime act a secret, and crept away.

St John was a saint we remember,
on the twenty-fourth of June:
it’s St John’s Day.
And this little mark marks that.

Without this modest mark, this little apostrophe,
we have a plural, not a possessive.
So how many Johns were there?

Or are these apartments named
after just the one John, as we’re told -
the one that has that little apostrophe?

Often do I wonder who
the mysterious tenant is, the one
who posts missing apostrophes.

Dear one, the next time you rest;
Remember you are blessing;
The next time you lay down can you close your eyes;
Dispense with the frowns;
Praise God alive even praise at the top of your lungs;
And as you fall into the Twilight of your slum;
Remember that He's the only one who reads;
Get you up at dawn and that allows you to rest at dusk ;
You are blessed you, are blessed;
Don't transgress;
Don't be upset;
Just rest,  rest;
In His arms rest;

Fantastic Tour

In those streets of
                      buildings projected
                      by Frank Lloyd and
                      Corbusier
                      I dreamed my dry
                      landscape ...
                      In those sumptuous
                      temples full of mystery,
                      I dreamed  of
                      the little chapel
                      of St. John ...
                      At speedy High Ways, I
                      dreamed
                      the trails of xique
                      xique ...
                      In the gigantic
                      parks,
                      of these
                      megalopolis, I
                      dreamed
                      the backyard of the
                       caatingas ...
                      In these blown
                      Mecca,
                      I dreamed my
                      shotgun
                      from punch to
                      punch ...
                     In the night clubs of
                     high society, I
                     dreamed
                     Zé Lagoa
                     homemade ball ...
                     I confess that I lived
                     these worlds,
                     but I never left home ... !

       Xique - xique, Piloseceus polygonus
        cactus...

       Caatinga : area in the northeast of Brazil
                       semi-arid, scrub forest

Our appetite wanted more
Bun and cheese, or potted meat sandwich
They were handed out all in a row

From his small room
Its front door slightly ajar
One unbelievable
Kind hand, fed more than four

Reginald led the way and spoke
"Mr. Drummings, yu hav anyting?"
It was rare not hearing locks unlocked
The ringleader was mostly welcome in
Four siblings, four sandwiches, one hand waving us on

He would feed himself in silence
Inside, where
Some unspeakable spirit lurked
Hunger was no joke to Reg. and us
His role of self-reliance
Modeled after same sex
Granny, and Papa, and Mama had no clue

One afternoon, it was just Reg. and I
In the twinkle of an eye, this opening
My stomach gnawed and caved
A chubby hand shooed me on with a wave
I walked toward St. John (our Primary school)
Felt a sudden sickening lonesomeness

Later, much later
The old man lived
In backyard he dwell
Beside body builder's home
His small wooden abode, seemed enough
It sat humbled, beside Reggie's concrete home
Was the old man eased, from his burden?

Premium Member Let's Pass a Good Time

Come one, come all to New Orleans
March and dance with King and all kinds of Queens
Year round festivals in town
Don't hesitate, catch a ride, come on down

Come on down to the Mississippi River Crest
You want a party, New Orleans does it best
From Bayou St. John to the French Quarters
Street cars, horse drawn buggies, to river boat charters

Greek, Italian, Irish, Vietnamese, Cajun, Creole, German, Black
Parades and festivals, there is not one who will lack
Christmas, New Years, Fourth of July, most any day of the year
Is an excuse to celebrate and drink plenty of beer

Oysters, gumbo, mirlitons, tomato, a good Po Boy
All kinds of food festivals for you to enjoy
You like music, festivals for that, too
Rock and Roll, Jazz, Zydeco, and get down Blues

Of course, Mardi Gras is at the top of the list
Biggest free show on earth mustn't be missed
Doubloons and beads are thrown to you
Holler, “Throw me something, Mista!”all you have to do

So much sadness in the world, so come on down
New Orleans will have a festival that will give you a smile and take away that frown
Check out the festival calendar for most any day or night
We'll pass a good time, Shah, yeh u rite

I love You, O Most Lovable,
always-- before and after death

if I lose all my faculties
my heart shall say it with each breath

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Inspired by:
"I love You, O m y God, and my only desire is to love You until the last breath of my life. I love You, O my infinitely lovable God, and I would rather die loving You, than live without loving You. I love You, Lord, and the only grace I ask is to love You eternally... My God, if my tongue cannot say in every moment that I love You, I want my heart to repeat it to You as often as I draw breath."
