				The Winds of Wars

The winds of wars have shorn the shores where children once had played,
revealing bones of dead unknowns for whom the faithful’d prayed,
to no avail beneath the veil of death where rockets strayed,
for tit-for-tat is where it's at when war hawks’ eggs are laid.

The winds of wars destroy the moors, strew corpses’ burnt debris
which stains the staves that mark the graves (blest signs of victory)
where somber moms are sighing psalms while staring wistfully
upon the past before the blast that doomed their destiny.

The winds of wars clog corridors with folks in search of peace
because, outside, the genocide is giving no surcease;
‘But what the heck, it pays the check’, so say the world Police –
beneath the sky, they slice the pie, each hacking off a piece.

The winds of wars have wiped the floors with foes who won’t obey
(the bombs that fall are meant for all, the bodies ricochet) –
‘The carcass count may sadly mount’ the vanquishers will say,
while hiding facts of heinous acts neath verbal lingerie.

The winds of wars (soon metaphors for hellish deeds, though deeper)
have flattened schools (allowed by rules as written by the Reaper),
and brought despair beamed through the air (beware the booby beeper)
and, when they slay so faraway, make human life the cheaper.

The winds of wars have spread the spores that taint and mangle minds
with doublespeak and hide-and-seek that closes eyes and grinds
the passive pawns (once mowed like lawns) with servitude that binds,
and while the blight is holding tight, the wider world unwinds.

				Postscript
			     The Wins of Wars

The wins of wars fill warlords’ drawers (some call it charity)
with yellow gold for weapons sold to kill the enemy
and purloined oil from conquered soil and tankers seized at sea –
the poor are billed to fund and build the wartime industry.

The wins of wars are won by whores who sell their souls with glee
and run amok to spend a buck (for killing’s never free)
and more and more they’ll arm for war (a spiraled spending spree)
until at last the warrior caste’s deposed and forced to flee.

Premium Member Species

I was born here; here on earth
to a species, in a sack of water, I was born here.
On earth, connected to all the water on earth
All the water is connected to various species;
Where I came from is my source.

Always, I will be connected to my source.
All species are connected to their kind.
All the water is connected.
All the trees are connected.

Every spore is networking with like spores,
Every human cell is speaking the
the language that human cells speak.

Every windstorm begets every breeze,
every hurricane has a direct path.

All humans that love,
are connected by that love.
love too has its course.

Also, are those who are
bound together by hate.
Those hateful ones, full of hate;
Want to send me out of my way,
want to give me a reason, and have, yet
I cannot hate just for the sake of it.!

I think straight
First law -Self-preservation,
the first goal, the mind must not be
in reactionary mode.

The hateful, also have a provider;
A provider who gives them
an abundance
of things of which to hate.

There are lots of people and situations
on which to exercise their hatred.

As they are born or learn-ed haters,
they know not love.
They hate love, unfamiliar to
their DNA.
Hatred drags them along like
a donkey pulling a cart.

Becoming as one with hate is the start'
Being the same as one.
They are the same.
“doing the same thing”.
Until given a new bone,
on which to chew.
One may seem as many, yet
 They are really” '' many of one of a kind”.

I am of this earth, I am of this water,
I am of these trees. I am of this soil.
I am a product of the many lovers
Who has transcended before me?

I am love. I am evidence of my source.
I, who have the least earthly goods,
am loved by the many.

As the clouds are to the sky
… you wonder…
Who is she? that is so truly loved?
And loves so truly?
I am true love, for love's sake.
I am a POETESS!

Love for me comes naturally,
I am connected to many lovers
My kind and I, could never truly
hate, without a reason to really try.!

Premium Member Ode To a Puffball

To you plump puffball,
Squatter of the mushroom fungi.
May your soils be rich
And your spores be many!

Moonstone child of nocturnal reverie
Pride tempts to invite fallacious vanity.
Creamy alabaster skin,
Spongy firm of flesh within.
A saucy lunar face to taunt the sun.
His nomadic gaze leaves no course for fun.
The sun edges off towards autumn skies,
Pragmatically steady; contemplatively wise.

The sun may have kissed her on a whim,
Crazed butterfly flutters; needles to pins.
Translucent skin, her conceit and crown,
Blushes from saffron hue, to Dijon brown.
Physical metamorphosis; transmutations collide,
She becomes a phase converted seasonal bride.
To celebrate this new found core,
She sends up clouds of dust, and sleepy spores.

Carpe Diem.

Arouse good cheer that comes to show:
Laugh at odd times that hurls new pains,
Opt love most dear to fund fond glow;
Voice your deep rhymes that bear with strain,
Embrace the truth in life's grand scheme;
Live even more than zest can urge,
Yield your own proof in urge of dream.
Instinct now spores that profound surge,
Meet in sure grace that precious cheer;
Prize each new day what fate now hurls,
Use faith to face the random fear;
Love funds the way each moment curls,
Set your mind well as heart knows peace,
End game moves tell in happy bliss.

Discern and know
The way of flow

Look deeper still
For urge that fills

Sit still and wait
Here at the gate

Heart and mind sync
As thoughts feel fling

No need to rush
For writes need hush

Sharpen your saw
Let ideas thaw

Feel the sure squeeze
In poignant breeze

There is a light
That sparks things bright

See what you see
Then let things be

Write and write more
Leave vivid spores

Here at verse brink
String link by link

Feel sure enough
All sorts of stuff

Start to pen plot
Words wear fond thought

So many ways
To pen fine say

Be without fear
Let lines speak clear

Remember this:
Kind words shape bliss

When

       When violets bloom deep in the bush,
       Just atop their little push;

       When fungus balls puff out spores green,
       Where they go is never seen;

       When rock exposed to sun and air,
       Some to keep and some to share;

       When lichen catches glimpse of sun,
       The living bell has just been rung;

       When baby does her first breath take,
       Other senses soon will wake.

       When owl’s egg slow nervous hatch,
       A glimpse of life ahead may catch;

       In filtered air sun moonlight be,
       But not to mortal ones as me.

"Evil can be undone, but it cannot 'develop' into good"
...C.S. Lewis

Journey with me, james from Minnesota...

Begin this journey from a quiet place
Close your eyes and feel your good
Your mind has the gift of sight
And touch
Leave your body and rise above
Sunshine appears from the east
On a cloudless day

Pause above my garden, the aroma
From the soil promises rebirth
A few Purple Finches serenade joy
Melodious honey, expectant!

Around the corner, great fantails of male
Wild Turkeys shimmer proud plumage
To skeptical females, regal courtship!

Follow me into the forest
Eager mushroom spores send vital
Phosphorous and sugars up companion trees
And along fallen comrades, soon
Revealing nourishment to friends
And warnings to invaders

Lets soar higher!
Joining arrows of Geese, searching
Pockets of open water, where once was
Covered with ice

Higher still!

Bald Eagles, buffeted by earths release of
Warm air, perform lazy loops with you and
Me, spying prey unaware of Eagles eyes,
Tho we do not join them in their perilous
Descent upon the intrepid
We respect their need to survive

Further on, we transform back upon the
City streets, sending cautious impulses
To excited children, stepping into the
Streets, smiling when parents grasp their
Hands

Warmth now envelops us
Comforting our fears, knowing our
Creator, the One who combined all
DNA, who gave purpose to all life

Wear wisdom well in time and space,
Embrace and dwell love's happy face,
Dream that fond spell with charming grace;

Dance in the light where joy sets free,
Ink stains prompt sight of ample spree,
Now set thoughts right to simply be;

Glimpse happy here that knows the way.
Ask for good cheer to live each day,
Note plain and clear fine worth that plays;

Nurture grand style in affluent reach,
Instruct fine smiles from each to each,
Value worthwhile moves love's sweet niche;

Endow your time as grandeur mints,
Rich moments rhyme as echoes hint,
Sense vibrant chimes spread sparkling tints;

Abide your face with precious more,
Reap warm embrace in poignant core,
Yield lovely grace as journey spores.
