Momma He's a Cowboy

Momma’s thankful for his looks,
And how he spends the day.
How he gets onto his horse,
And slowly rides away.
How he rounds the cattle up,
Back into the herd.
The simple he's and ha's,
Are his trusty words.

Momma he’s a cowboy,
Built for this life.
Momma he’s a cowboy,
Who’s energy is rife.
Momma he’s a cowboy,
Who holds his gun with pride,
Momma he’s a cowboy,
God made him to ride.

The way he fixes fence,
And the way he brands the cows.
All day basking in the sun,
Tilling the fields by plow.
The way he wears his cowboy hat,
Working without his gloves.
With busted knuckles all day long,
Still doin’ what he loves.

Momma he’s a cowboy,
Who works the day on by.
Momma he’s a cowboy,
A workin’ kinda guy.
Momma he’s a cowboy,
Tanning that rawhide.
Momma he’s a cowboy,
God made him to ride.

Well one day momma woke up,
At the crack of dawn.
She noticed something missing,
Both his cowboy boots were gone.
Then she quickly realized,
He wasn’t made for her.
But momma keeps on cryin’,
Holdin’ onto his spurs.

Momma he’s a cowboy,
Will your tears subside?
Momma he’s a cowboy,
Who roams beneath the sky.
Momma he’s a cowboy,
Until the day he dies.
Momma he’s a cowboy,
God made him to ride.

Coming of the Lord

The days are getting nearer for the coming of the Lord
The days are getting nearer have you read His Word
It tells you of the signs to come and signs to pass away
The days are getting nearer the Lord is on His way.

Praise the Lord, Praise His name
He's coming back again
With the power and the glory from above
And that day will surely bring
Lots of pain and suffering
To the people who ain't ready when He comes.

Yes that day is getting near
When the Lord will soon appear
In all of His G-l-o-r-y
The signs are there to see
That He's coming back for me
What a joy that day will be.

Hard Ice For Days Like Cocain

as a child
It felt a bit safer
knowing that everything
would eventually work itself out
and in the end
though we failed
to remain concise
in-between darkness
we were only men

i'm looking at my little red gauge
sitting peacefully on E
looks like it will be
another empty day for me

and i apologize
for the wrong turns
all the long sermons
and the little wishes
that hold life in format
the cold winter nights
that left me at your doormat

when i was alone
you brought my days comfort
a touch that misery couldn't sponsor
a tragedy to never disappoint
and now i wonder
was it us or the fact that together
we'd never go under

in correspondence to my
thoughts dancing along the windshield
i'm moving fast and forward
despite the rain indoors
it feels i'm going nowhere
my little red gauge sits at the back of E
looks like another empty day for me

"just like motivation everything else fades"
