Tiny eyelids flutter ...
The orbs beneath, busy with their magical meanderings,
Monochromatic piano keys gently holding up your cherub cheeks.
I wonder, Squeaker, so close to the instrument ...

Do you dream of melody and metre?
Are your tiny legs yet dancing across a whimsical landscape,
Black and white cobbles underfoot -
While marvelous creatures tumble and play for your charms?

Or is it possibility and hope that hammer the strings of your heart?
Oh, my precious and darling little one,
How I pray for your life to be full and fancy!
How I hope that you hear the music of wonder and enchantment ...

The white, shiny tones of joy and love and beauty!
But I wish for you to know the black keys as well,
The sharps and flats of life and love,
The darker and more concerning harmonies ...

Only in moments, but enough so you'll know their importance -
So you'll appreciate the bright melodies all the more,
And learn that it's the balance and delicate interplay of BOTH,
That makes this song, Life, so exquisite - so priceless and amazing!

I wonder, what will your song be, my little one?
What pattern will you follow as you skip atop the keys of life?
Whatever your song, Squeaker, it will be YOURS ...
And it will most certainly be joyous ... and loud!

Premium Member An Opened Moment

This opened moment viewed together through the mirrored glass;
Reflections of tomorrows past with all the deigned and feigned
And foreign feelings felt. This moment deep into the next will melt.
Deep enough to fill the reservoirs of all eternity’s yesterdays.
Heart to heart and soul to soul pressed together in a binding, bundling way.
As stars collide, the air will whisper across the words of all that we could say.
My dear, my sweet beloved, gather close unto your heart the far flung feelings
Of the universe. For you are like the sun and all it does provide.
An amber droplet born, the crimson life of color torn, from pages yet unwritten;
With touch that marks the night with lightning fiery hot.
There you are, and there, and there, for wherefore are you not?
The edge of lining, all my reason, birth of life and cradle rocked.
Given to release and given to self-sacrifice and given to relief
And given to the well from which all springs,
Heart to heart and soul to soul the endless song life sings.
Your breath from some joint reservoir unites with air expelled
And there is never time enough or words enough or reach enough
To so embrace this starry starry world. There is no time or distance
Between the watcher and the watched. They are the same.
We are the same. This moment opened as a gift bestowed.
Unfolding you and I and all that may begin.
The opened moment beckons sweetly
Come in, my love,
Come in.

A Father Whom Can Not Return (Angel of Sadness)

I used to think about what life would be like
When I turned twenty-five
Of coarse I mess up, but I'm granted plenty of tries
Tomorrow doesn't matter, for I'm trapped in now
I used to kiss your mother in all places other than her mouth
Not referring to you as a mistake
But now I'm wondering how
I guess the chances I was given, I have taken
And I'll never learn
Now I'm just a father whom can't return
I used to never worry about growing old
I used to say I'd keep my temperature
Even in the blistering cold
Daylight seemed so shady
And I'd shadow every truth my mystery told
Maybe life will turn me into a hardworking man
Stars in the night sky openly stand
Maybe life will lead me to live out my fantasies
I'll be everything, we once as children ran to see
My peers will mourn
For I am now a father whom can't return
I couldn't rehearse a lie
And I couldn't re word a well told story
So I have heard, but what more does life have to offer me
Late at night I witness you lay down and pray for a softer me
What would you prefer to see
I fear that I'll be no better than you were to me
Now I'mma father whom can't return

In Real Life

Now,I only see you in my dreams,
but in real life I have lost you;
I shouldn't have been so afraid of you...
when you needed somebody's
open hand to hold yours;
I held back, and let another kiss your lips...
I let you slip through my fingers:
all I can feel is emptiness and remorse!

Now,I only see you in my dreams,
but in real life I have lost you;
I never realized how lucky I was;
it is a great pity not to have you...
I didn't find the right words
to explain this hidden feeling!
I have been hanging on to it
for a quite time, and never said
a word about it: so many
chances passed me by!
Now,I only see you in my dreams,
but in real life I have lost you...

Playing Guitar In the Rain

I’m too old to live out these songs I sing.
There has been too much pumped into these veins.
But if you remember how I was back in time…
Won’t you toss me a nickel or a dime?

I used to travel all around the world.
and I bought my condoms by the case full.
I stored all my cocaine in quart-sized mason jars…
in my yachts, jets, and fancy armored cars.

Man, those were sure some good old glory days.
Before I smoked and drank my dreams away.
When everything I touched turned into solid gold…
Back before the horse took away my soul.

You know that once the devil seals the deal.
There’s no way you can beg, borrow, or steal.
Another second of the fame that you ain’t owed…
No matter how bright the lightning you rode.

Chorus:
When I was on top, man I was the best,
I was so damned far above all the rest.
I’d give my life to have that spotlight once again…
Not outside on this sidewalk begging change.
Standing here playing guitar in the rain.

Your tracks may have faded away with time.
But all those old wounds that you left behind.
Left me with so much more to remember you with…
I can’t say that I thank you for the gift.

I wonder is there nothing left in me.
but the memories of what used to be.
and those sad dreams about how my life could have been…
Knowing I can never go there again.

Now I’m playing these old forgotten songs.
begging change from strangers that come along.
Hoping to get enough to buy a fifth of gin…
I lost my wife, kids, and even my friends.

So heed the words of this broken-down man.
Hold on tight to any dreams that you can.
Because once they're gone, they won’t be back again…
And you’ll find yourself outside, playing guitar in the rain.

(Repeat Chorus)

Backyard Vacation
(Country, male vocal, speed/tempo in vein of Zac Brown Band's "Knee Deep" w/Jimmy Buffet)

When life’s hurdles got ya goin’
Around in circles without you knowin’
And it seems they’ll never end

I take a walk in my backyard
I like that it’s so large
There I look around and take it all in

Sometimes life feels strained
It shows us joy and sometimes pain
I’m here to tell ya a backyard can explain..
That just for a few minutes
So long as a hammock’s in it
Life’s trials can’t ever beat out a sunny day

I’m lucky got a few nice acres
Trees and a pond from our good lord maker
I’m thinkin’ it’s funny how it got this way

As I take in the view
And tell myself don’t be a fool
This feeling is what you never want to go away

Sometimes life feels strained
It shows us joy and sometimes pain
I’m here to tell ya a backyard can explain..
That just for a few minutes
So long as a hammock is in it
Life’s trials can’t ever beat out a sunny day

The beauty you’ll see offers a hedge
Like a tree’s reflection against the water’s edge
It’s a paintin’ you can see in your mind
It’s all a gift so enjoy the tryin’

Sometimes life feels strained
It shows us joy and sometimes pain
I’m here to tell ya a backyard can explain..
That just for a few minutes
So long as a hammock’s in it
Life’s trials can’t ever beat out a sunny day

Can’t ever beat out a sunny day..

What Dreams May Come

Bill sweats his life out loading boxes on the dock.
He eats, sleeps and breathes by the ticking of the clock.
Has a dead-end job that can barely make ends meet.
Wonders why the grass is greener across the street.

Chorus:
Some dreams flash across the sky,
in a burning flame of light.
Most dreams fade slowly away,
into the dark of the night
People dream of having fame,
dream of gold and diamond rings.
Some try not to dream because,
they know what broken dreams will bring.

Jane smokes two packs a day, drinks a bottle each night.
Has a tire around her hips, her lid’s not on tight.
She’s given up all hope of finding Mr. Right.
Now she only cries and screams when she dreams at night.

Repeat Chorus:
Some dreams flash across the sky,
in a burning flame of light.
Most dreams fade slowly away,
into the dark of the night
People dream of having fame,
dream of gold and diamond rings.
Some try not to dream because,
they know what broken dreams will bring.

Sue left for the city, had a modeling gig.
She knew she had what it would take to make it big.
Momma prayed for her baby not to come to harm.
They found her today with a needle in her arm.

Repeat Chorus:
Some dreams flash across the sky,
in a burning flame of light.
Most dreams fade slowly away,
into the dark of the night
People dream of having fame,
dream of gold and diamond rings.
Some try not to dream because,
they know what broken dreams will bring.

Heavenly Made (My Secret Sin)

Come listen to our life story
Suffer for something more important
My plan to strategize
Prepare for a burden
Unless they let us slide
Hard times, you’re at home
But how do you provide
Once more, I find myself asking why
I’m guessing it only rains when the heavens cry
And even though darkness doesn’t seem to fade
We’ve been blessed with something lighter than shade
Dear sister don’t cry
All I see is something heavenly made
My criminal elevation
My peers doom, a similar revelation
A lifetime subtracted from a broken quotation
Who’s gone love me, whether I’m right or wrong
Was I so unright to live a life alone
Write my truest feelings, my deepest thoughts in a song
And I’ve been waiting for days to hear your voice
A decision in my worst ways, it was all my choice
We could never be enemies
For you will always find a friend in me
And that’s all that matters
What remains after our dreams shatter
And even when the nights refuse to fade
We’ve been blessed with some than shade
Dear sister, don’t cry
For all I see is something heavenly made

Strange She Is

I felt her there
Seems so strange
Lost in memories
Hope maybe fading
By and By
The seas are changing
Seems so jaded

These clouds are greying
This place i be leaving
This life i be changing
Strange she seems to me

Love once there
Gone for sure
No chance of feeling
Years have gone by
She can't haunt me no more

The clouds are clearing
This place i be leaving
This life i am changing
Strange she is to me

Memories i have
Smiles I'll enjoy
Won't see up close
Her heart is in something great

This sun is shining
This place I'll leave
Never will return
I let her be free
So i can be me
These clouds will not grey for us no more
She's all strange to me for sure

Just One Look

Just one look you make my heart fly, with your deep round eyes darker than the night sky,
Just one touch,
Sweet life giver, make me run like a river, burn like a fever, just one smile can make me run a mile,
Cos baby, baby, baby, you’re here to simplify my life , you’re here to amplify my soul, baby you’re my life and baby you are my goal..
Don’t deny my love, I can see it in your eyes,
I`d give the world to be with you, I`d give the heaven in the skies..
I love you so much baby, I `d even let you win, but I can’t let you go,
Cos to lose you would be sin
Cos baby, baby, baby, you’re here to simplify my life , you’re here to amplify my soul, baby you’re my life and baby you are my goal..
