And soon you will see that inside every impossible is the word “possible”…if only we dare to see it. - TerKeurst, Lysa. What Happens When Women Say Yes to God Devotional (p. 40). Harvest House Publishers. Kindle Edition.
Philippians 4:7 (KJV) “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Struggling with stressful situations,
I ask myself – can I possibly overcome?
Fighting my fears, the darkness,
I wonder, can I silence the doubts?
Find answers in the quest?
Can I work through the sorrows?
Let faith paint my heart in hopeful?
Fraught with worries and pain,
I cling to the shadows, marveling –
Can I make it through the greyest rain?
Can I reach beyond my dread, my despair?
Find a way through the desperation?
Grief and grace – both a part of my heart,
Can I listen to the beautiful?
And, erase the sadness that staggers me?
Resisting the demons who torment me…
With shame and guilt, humiliation,
Can I let go of the disgrace, the dishonor?
Find a way through the embarrassment?
Reach beyond the indignity, into the promise…
Bold and brave, the feelings that save me,
From the degradation… feelings of self-respect,
Brought to life despite a life that can reject.
Struggling to learn, to grow, to become –
I ask myself often – can I possibly find my way,
Through the aching, through the sorrows,
Through the disappointments and discouragements?
Can I reach beyond all the reasons –
I have for giving up on my dreams, my beliefs…
And find the courage to listen to God’s promises,
His light shining through my darkest dread,
His assurance filling me with faith,
His kindness reminding me that I am still His,
Despite all the fears, the tears, the years…
When I felt like I couldn’t make it through the hard,
When I wasn’t sure I was meant to know hope,
When I couldn’t let go of the panic in my heart?
Struggling on, I realize – He is my guide,
And, though I may feel like giving up on this life,
I know that, with Him by my side – I’ll find the light,
The lesson, the grace that I need to realize my dreams,
The promise of a joy beyond anything I’d expect to see,
A moment when my prayer is answered by His love,
And, just for a while, there is peace in my world.
Frightened; scared; worrisome, that's how I am..
Not that I am so ****ed up or too bad..
Rather I am caring so much...
Or maybe I have experienced too much..
I built up walls to protect myself...
I restricted myself to rules and regulations..
I defined and structured ways to be in control..
I followed a pattern to avoid dominion...
Maybe because of how I have grew up..
Maybe because of how the persons treated me..
Maybe because of how situations challenge me..
Maybe because of actual experience..
True, I am almost exactly like that..
Few have taken the time and effort to discover me..
That..
Behind those smiles are hidden pains to burst..
Behind those silence are quiet tears waiting to break..
Behind those hugs are yearnings of affection.
Behind those compositions are me: myself...
Yet, I have always been hopeful...
Always holding on...
Not that of pretentions.
Nor to give good impression..
Rather, It is because of that burning faith..
It is because of that selfless love...
Didn't I laugh hard until I'm teary eyed..
Didn't I sing so much until my voice hoarse..
Didn't I eat so much that I burp..
Didn't I given so much that I'm remembered...
Didn't I still love so much that I don't expect any returns..
I lie to protect people I love..
I break rules to get closer to what I want..
I work hard to attain my dreams...
I try to be the happy me to me others happy..
I am living my life the way I know right..
I made mistakes and even failed..
but, I rejoice to acknowledge these didn't stop me..
These didn't lead me to quit..
I rise up..
I stood up..
I am still here..
God, helped me through it all..

A classic metal made of vibranium steel alloy,
An offensive and defensive weapon that could decoy;
Though an illusory creation of comical books,
Had become part of culture with pretty attention-hooks...!
A concave disc; thick in diameter; weighing twelve pound;
Designed and cast by Myron MacLain with caution profound;
Captain America enjoyed its glamour in his acts;
And showcased through it exceptional emblematic facts...!
Embodied with strength that could alter the physical laws,
Bouncy in nature; quite conforming to the user's cause;
Power-equipped to face even dynamic storm-troopers,
Hulk's fists or Thor's hammer couldn't harm it; or hard coopers...!
In using the captain's shield Sam Wilson could not succeed,
It boomeranged; came back to captain; curb did not exceed;
Almost forty four miles per hour speed captain could throw it,
No one could comprehend its curve or shift or harming grit...!
Confrontations mounted; war-like situations arose;
Fight with Thanos did the damage; captain couldn't oppose;
Thanos' power with his sharp double-edged sword broke the shield;
Like Samson's fall after shave, captain had to leave the field...!
Yet, did captain give up his fights ever in whole of life?
His shield had brought him fame; did he ever leave his life-strife?
He traveled towards his greatest goal of eternity,
For a shield that couldn't be found midst taciturnity...!

Sometimes there are situations beyond our control that shake off our internal and external world.
Making us to analyze the concepts, ideas and beliefs that are part
of us during our lives.
When you feel that your world is falling off over you, a helping hand would help you.
Difficult times remind us that an everlasting happiness does not exist in this world.
Seek guidance from your inner self to follow the path that will complete your journey.
Faith is the pillar to stand strong through the dark times that gloom over you.
The light will come eventually again to your life, shining more powerful than ever.
Put your sight in the good things that life brings as blessings to all of us.
Even the most murky episodes teach that nobody or nothing is perfect.
Give thanks for all the events of your life. They have sculpted you as the person you are right now, and will motivate you to keep growing in a better person.

It's a nondescript shoe box. Maybe it contained my husband's shoes. That's why it's so big. The lid doesn't come off, but falls to the side.. still attached. A strange place to keep love. Perhaps. But it's a treasure box filled with my mother's letters to me written in her uneven hand, the large letters formed with love and longing for a daughter in another country.
"I'm longing for you
Can't wait until you're back home...
My heart is aching"
Everyday I want to get those letters out and feel her love soothe me, but it's hard... because I can't tell hey I love her too. It's hard to read again of the pain of her illness... the illness that robbed me of so much.
"I fell down again,
but it's not so bad this time...
Don't worry, my dear"
It is so hard... but they are there waiting for me, her words, her love, her faith comforting me in her absence now.
Thin blue almost transparent stationary that mirrored her transparent heart. She's always with me... no box can contain her. She's alive and well in my heart.
"My percious daughter,
days are long without you here,
but you're in my heart"
Eileen Manassian Ghali
My mom had me when she was 41. Yes, I was unplanned. I grew up knowing mom was sick. She had MS. My memories include seeing her with blood on her face and nightgown from a fall. Countless times I'd see choking on her food. Fortunately, the scars on her face from a gas explosion because she couldn't light the oven fast enough with a match weren't permanent. Always... to calm my panic in these situations she'd smile and say, "Don't worry, I'll alright!" One day, we were sitting on the couch and she looked at me and said, "You're afraid I'm going to die, aren't you." She held me in her arms as we both cried. I saw her slowly deteriorate and become wheelchair bound, unable to care for her basic needs. She was a woman of faith, loved by her students and the community. She wanted to die, praying that God would grant this request. She didn't want to be a burden. We lost her on March 19, 2000, but she lives on in my and in the lives of all who loved her. Resurrection day will be sweet.
Having to undertake my journey through life
I face unusual situations...This time with animals...
In the lagoon the alligator opens its huge mouth and orders me:
-Swim.
.. In the field, the sibylline serpent hisses:
- Walk...
. !In the cold white snow the scary wolf looks at me and howls:
- Pass.
.. On the prairie the fierce buffalo roars
- Ride..
.. At the top of the rock, cunning menacing lion studies me and snores: -
Come here,,,
I almost calmly admonish:
- I'm not stupid or anything else I tell them: "I don't obey your orders" ..
This is how I continue my journey. Being able to tell this story alive,,,! ...!
Why do moms change, when girls grow up?
New set of rules!
Never ending do’s and don’ts!
Teaching, preaching, gazing,
Its damn irritating!
But let me tell you, dude!
If you really know your mom,
You will surely find her super cute!!
Sharing with you, a funny docket.
Surprisingly, found it in my pocket!
Huh…..Lol! How high, she thinks of me!
She’s looking for my perfect soul!
Is that an order for me or my indirect extol?
Will read it out for you.
Let me too get the right cue!
Promise me! You won’t roll in the aisles!
Hey! Come on now, stop that smile!
Ohooooo! Now, this is to prevent me from infatuations!
She is just toooo prepared for such situations!
What a cute comedy!
She needs a whizzkid, a prodigy.
He should be a xue Ba.
Besides being naughty and sporty.
Blessed with high IQ and EQ.
His eyes should be blue, in fact green would do.
Height shall not be less than six point two.
Fair! Umm rather peaches-and-cream complexion.
A brawny and willowy,
Not a bad connexion!
She needs a perfect charming statuesque.
Ah! What a critique!
She has fixed such standards,
Signifies how much I am being pampered!
Such moments are delightful treasure!
Love me Mom, like this forever!
It's so good to be spontaneous
others don't expect it so caught out
this brings flavour and colour to our lives
on each occasion without a little doubt
Having my stammer all of my life
mostly been a struggle on each day
but occasions there's been light relief
when spontaneity helped the word to say
There was one such occasion
when meeting therapists in the field
at their clinic, I was to introduce myself
spoke so well the future plans were sealed
Everything they asked I gave its answer
the clue was, never give it a thought
just don't think about it, just speak
spontaneous was my mate as I fought
But in most similar situations
not to think did not work
for your mind plays you tricks
pulls your tongue little jerks
(I've written this piece when considering the word Spontaneity and what it means to me bringi8ng to mind a situation from the past.)
Afghanistan! would anybody give a damn
perhaps had a chance, under Uncle Sam
They gave them weapons, to fight Talibans
enslavers of women, for pleasures of man
Kabul was thriving, the west brought calm
young ladies attend school, sitting exams
Mullahs hid in exile, with extremist Imams
Allowed back in, by surrendering Afghans
Another failed state, turns hardline Islam
say they've changed, nah just a big scam
The door was opened, they choose to slam
right back to poverty, from where it began
Religious fanatics, resume same old sham
beheadings, torturing, cut off some hands
Warped Sharia law, interpretation of Koran
no A la carte, only one recipe, Allah flambe *
US couldn't stay forever, done all they can
must watch Russia, China, Nth Korea, Iran
In tragic war situations, there's no exit plan
want to point a finger, start with bin laden
* Play on (A la Flambe) no offence intended
to moderate peaceful Muslims*

G-ray shadows have gone,
E-arly morn has broken;
R-ising sun starts to show,
A-iming to shine in the open.
L-ight so bright it brings,
D-usk won't last so long;
I-mage of a beautiful dawn
N-ow shares with
E-very song.
N-o haze, mist and dust
A-re seen in the fresh air;
R-eal gentleness of the wind
C-lears the space everywhere.
I-nside my mind dwells peace,
S-earching for the right place;
O-verwhelming happiness is felt in so many ways.
V-ile weather turns so fine,
I-n March twenty-first day;
C-louds have disappeared
T-o let the dark fade away.
O-ne cold chill is now over,
R-ainy night has been gone,
I-nclement clime turns fair,
O-nly when it yields to the sun.
L-earn to brave the horizon,
A-s you either tread or climb;
P-erilous situations shall pass,
A-fter spending quality
T-ime.
