Flipped Hourglass

Trinkets, salt packet from road trip sixteen years ago
Collected, cafes remembered, ripped open with age
Spilt among treasure, a twig, tickets, torn butterfly
Bits familiar, shrine in a tin, tired feather, belated
       Harmoniously decompose, shipwreck's chains
Filter their links, flakes floated, flipped coins
           Emboss truth funnelled through decades
            Grains falling, fabled chamber drained
              Recollections creak rocking chair era
               Carpet of moths, floorboards erode
                 Sanctum split, heirlooms fracture
                  Hailed scriptures huddle in fog

                   Divided cortex gorge cool gap
                  Glide of pendulum grandfather
                Silent rhythm discards old habits
Distance in dust, leaf littered history
            Compiles mottos rotting ignominous
With inter century bold blended injection
Contemporary tips in, new version junction
Mingling dissolves old into fresh vessel joined
  Relentless generations mark intended kamikaze
Ebony ivory rivals reflect empathy kindered
Measure of Yin Yang our future ligature

Premium Member Unbridgeable Chasm

According to the Scriptures, such unbridgeable chasm exists.
Luke 16:26 of the King James Bible declares, “And beside all this,
between us and you there is a great gulf fixed:
so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot;
neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.”

We are compassionately warned by the Lord Jesus Christ Himself
to flee from that place of condemnation, called hell
since He, with His loving, gracious, and merciful sacrifice
already served as the bridge to close the sin-caused chasm
for mankind to reach heaven by faith in His redeeming work.

John 14:6 asserts, “Jesus saith… I am the way,
the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
Believing that heaven is assured midst God’s gift of eternal life
we who put our trust in the Saviour are freed from transgression’s penalty
can triumphantly share the wonders of vanquishing unbridgeable chasm.

What I Believe

The Noble Prize-winning American Physicist Steven Weinberg said,
“Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it, you’d have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, it takes religion.”

All you need is one word,
Erase just one word
from the minds of the people,
Rout out just one idea, one concept,
Eliminate Religion from the
dictionary of humankind—
Man’s most stupendous and
the gravest faux pas!

And, you’ll see peace,
happiness, brotherhood.
Then there won’t be any infidels,
No gentiles, No heathens,
No pagans, No Idol worshipers.
No racism, no hatred, no jihad,
No crusades, no inquisition,
No persecution, no repercussion.

No church, no mosque,
No temple, no synagogue,
No holy scriptures
No words of God
No places of pilgrimage
No holy sites, no holy icons,
There won’t be a pope or a priest,
Nor any saint or a swami,
No mullah, no imam,
No pundit or any rabbi.

No one to dupe you
No one to lure you
No Satan, no sin,
No guilty conscience,
No need for confession
No need for salvation...
And what the hell,
There won’t be any hell!

September 16 Faith in God Bible Meditations Based on Daniel 4-5

Key Verse – Daniel 4:2 I thought it good to shew the signs and wonders that the high God hath wrought toward me.

FAITH IN GOD WHO KEEPS ON WORKING TOWARD US

God keeps on working toward us by His good signs
Midst His decrees to which everyone resigns
Where His wonders manifest His greatness-ensigns
For our faith to thrive as we abide in His perfect designs.

God keeps on working toward us by His sanctification
Midst His holiness along our eternal salvation
Where His righteousness prevails in our transformation
For our faith to perform through His power’s action.

God keeps on working toward us by His truthfulness
Midst His Word counselling us against deceitfulness
Where His wisdom reveals vain foolishness
For our faith to learn from His Scriptures’ steadfastness.

God keeps on working toward us by His driving might
Midst His hand ushering us for reaching-out delight
Where His stewardship grants us to serve in His light
For our faith to increase along prayerful plight.

God keeps on working toward us by His authority
Midst His assurance while we exalt His marvelous purity
Where His throne reveals to us His sovereign majesty
For our faith to submit to His security.

God keeps on working toward us by His peaceful bliss
Midst His promises for each of us, Brod and Sis
Where His seal marks us that we are His
For our faith to testify of His love from our hearts’ abyss.

God keeps on working toward us by His care
Midst His compassion that we should share
Where His love glows through the Gospel we declare
For our faith to continue growing in His divine welfare.

Premium Member Responding To Jesus 2

Our response to Jesus means everything.
It can alter the course of our entire lives.

ANGELS announced him to the shepherds,
and the shepherds went to see him.

SCRIBES cited prophetic scriptures of him.
Angel redirected the wise men to protect Jesus.

The WISE MEN came to WORSHIP him.
They worshipped and GAVE to him.

The SHEPHERDS came to SEE him.
They saw him and REPORTED what they saw.

HEROD sent men to KILL him.
He FAILED in his attempt to kill him.

What was YOUR first response to Jesus?
Was it positive, negative, or neutral?

How do YOU presently respond to him?
Is it positive, negative, or neutral?

Scriptures, Living water as the Spirit to dwell within

Isaiah 12:2-3 KJVAAE?
[2] Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. [3] Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.
?John 4:11, 13-15 KJVAAE?
[11] The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?
[13] Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: [14] but whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. [15] The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.
?John 7:38-39 KJVAAE?
[38] He that believeth on me, as the Scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. [39] (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
John 14:17 KJVAAE?
[17] even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
?Acts 4:13 KJVAAE?
[13] Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
?1 Corinthians 2:12-14 KJVAAE?
[12] Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. [13] Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. [14] But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
?Colossians 1:26-27 NIV?
[26] the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the Lord’s people. [27] To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Tell Me About It

(Response to Mr. Lamoureux "Tell Me")

You say "Tell Me" "I really want to know"
Tell you what Richard? Really?
About a God sitting on a throne in high heaven
And you down below whining and fretting?

So...I thought, well...why not?
Let's go find you "a God!"

Sought I Him in places high
Sought Him I down in the abyss depth,
In places sacred, in distant shores,
In scriptures, history, science and folklore,
In rites and rituals, in customs and creed;
Is He a God, really or a Phantom, indeed?
Or a figment of our imagination, I plead?

I saw within me and saw the light!

Oh yes, I have seen Him
with the eye of my heart,
And Him I asked, "Who art thou?"
He replied, "Thou"
"My spirit is mingled in thine,
Like water with wine,
Lo, in every way we are one."

"I in truth am He" ~Isa Upanishad 17

"I am He whom I love,
And He whom I love is I,
We are two spirits in one body,
If thou seest me
Thou seest Him,
And if thou seest Him
Thou seest us both." ~Husain Ibn Mansur (Al Haqq)

"Why should I seek?
I am the same as He.
His essence speaks through me.
I have been looking for myself." ~Jalal al-din Rumi

"Let him by wisdom his doubts dispel,
Let him be himself,
And then he sees The Self in all beings,
All beings in The Self,
The same in everything he sees"

"Even as a mirror with dirt begrimed
Shines brightly once it is well cleaned,
So too the embodied soul
once it has seen Self as it really is (tattwa)
Becomes one, its goal achieved,
from sorrow free" ~Svetasvatara Upanishad, II:4

"As much of heaven is visible,
As we have eyes to see" ~William Winter

So, Richard, here's your answer:

"Who sees Me everywhere,
Who sees the All in Me,
For him I am not lost
Nor is he lost for Me.
I am never nowhere." ~The Bhagavad Gita, VI:30

Life Is a Question To Me

Yesterday I put medicine to drive away cockroaches
While I threw all dead ones I asked myself
Is it not a sin?
But I can't let them thrive in my house!
Such questions often I ask,
Life is a question to me

Many a problems I have surmounted
Why this suffering led me to scriptures
They stated we suffer for our sins
But what is sin is a question to me
God will you please tell me?

Have come so far copying others
About right, wrong I am not very sure
I lead an ignorant life
Nothing is clearly given
What if all are wrong
My sins will surely mount!

Scriptures themselves are so ambiguous
Following them not easy
God will you tell me clearly
In simp!e words how to live perfectly?

Spiritual books state when sins end we get salvation
But how to end sins does some book say
In an easy and concise way?

I obey my conscience whenever it speaks
Still some problem or other creeps
Mind is rarely at peace
I am good even when others are bad
I try my best not to sin
Still my suffering doesn't cease!

Scriptures state it is last birth deeds
But there is no proof
Even God whom all praise
Does he exist is a question to me!
If he does why doesn't he show his face?
Why is he hiding himself?

What happens after death,
Nobody knows
Why is this kept a secret
another question to me!

My life, my actions
everything around is a question to me
Life is an unanswered question

Why there is so much mystery in life
Is biggest mystery to me

Premium Member Befriending silence

If the magic of the now eludes us,
it signals we are as yet fast asleep
and caught in a mind trap, dark fears nonplus,
deadening our sentience to love's bliss beep.
Ignorance borne of stupor is our sin,
whose roots lie in attachment to this form,
so to exit trance, the way to begin,
is to manifest within, a bliss storm.
Looking at thought forms as objects abstract,
our soul's nonchalant eye and tranquil heart,
disallows these images to distract
our focus to make bliss ignition start.
Befriending the void, we make it our home,
our consciousness aligned with gong of Om.

Our consciousness aligned with gong of Om,
ever present silence becomes the norm,
whence following scent of love, we so roam,
choosing with past beliefs, not to conform.
No sooner we relinquish our thought crutch,
shining as pure awareness, self-aware,
we imbibe clear wisdom, simply by touch,
as with love and light, our head and heart pair.
Soul’s choice to discard each and every ism,
enables heart to focus on our role,
which is to ignite the mind-body prism,
filling it with God’s light, scriptures extol.
As we can see, there’s nothing to be done;
our Self is living light, like yonder sun.

Our Self is living light, like yonder sun
and we see this clearly, when thoughts recede,
knowing now that as we so come undone,
we’re always complete, when love takes the lead.
The table is laid for bliss readymade,
if we but choose to trust the ways of God
and assigning love no grade, gently wade
in a sea of love that leaves our heart awed.
The path is easy and not difficult,
so dear souls, let us now embrace the truth,
lighting lamp of love, rejecting each cult,
beholding our true Self, here now forsooth.
Get ye, oh hermit, aboard God's bliss bus,
if the magic of the now eludes us.
