Valentine

Valentine's Day isn't about you, men!
It's about spoiling* your self - women!
Nah! Can’t wait for being pampered!
Nah! Ain’t altruistic and self-sacrificing!
Nah! I don’t depend, I am demanding!
Yeah! Expectations are graduating!
And the love is exploding!
I am awesome and rocking!
I love glamour, I am always shimmering!
It’s just Tiffany’s, when I am shopping!
See my neck is flossing!
And my skin is gleaming!
Yeah, I love celebrating!
Valentine’s is exciting!
Let the rules, get breaking!
My eyes are shinning!
And the smile is beaming!
My look is ravishing!
My style is dazzling!
I love myself; I am dating!
You live only once, come on stop cribbing!
My gloss is now popping!
All my friends, let’s be rip-roaring!

Premium Member Life Poetry With a Crystal Ball

Many questions come in life,                                                                        some cut like a knife.

If had a crystal ball,
I would know who to call.
When young we know it all,                                                                          maybe we should just hold our doll.

Middle age was our working days,
I feel like I was living in a maze.

Then came marriage,                                                                                  with all the baggage.

If had a crystal ball,
I might not feel so small.

Everywhere there are kids,
time flies by like a whiz.

Now in old age,
I have been let out of my cage.

Just like a bird soaring,
now I am roaring.

Premium Member Please Don’t Kill My Wolves

In the American wilds there are kings and
queens of the timberlands,
their pups born into a fraternity of royalty.
Crystal blue eyes shudder the dawn in
thick forests and open tundra.
Native American spirits in the elements
in all seasons,
in harmony with the wolves’ songs,
gently flowing eternally in the streams.

Oh, to run, run with their brethren of the
freedoms,
hunters and their prey churning up the
snow.
In the wilderness twilight they howl in
unison,
a woodland concert of the untamed neath
the ochre copper moon,
their breath exhaled in a frosty mist.

Whatever you do, please don’t kill my
wolves,
they are the sons and daughters of
nature’s magnificence.
So many have been felled and my heart
can’t bear hearing the roaring of the
rifles anymore,
Oh God, no!
Please don’t pierce their bodies,
their souls,
please, please don’t kill my wolves!

A Grain of Sand

I tossed a pebble
in a placid lake and
caused roaring ripples
in the vast seas;

I blew softly on the
breath of a passing breeze
and spawned raging storms;

I gathered high mountains
in a warm embrace
and set their hearts ablaze;

I scratched on the face
of the earth and gouged
these deep canyons;

I kissed the setting sun
and sent tremors through
the core of the earth;

I set the remedy for
all the ills of mankind
within the realm of Nature;

I replicated
the laws of the Universe
in a drop of water;

I garnered these
profound secrets
and locked them in
A grain of sand!

Hangover Reflections

Hang Over Reflections

Last night a Korean friend from Virginia came for a two week visit He brought with him a 30-year Bottle of Ballentine whiskey. Of course, we must drink it and then we must drink some soju

well this morning I woke up with a hangover

And thought about the contributions to world culture that Koreans have made. The perfect Korean hangover cure

And of course, this morning I am in the middle of taking the cure

The cure consists of

Lots of coffee

Liquid Korean hangover medicine from the local convenience store or drug store

Hangjanggu soup

A walk

Spending some time In the sauna soaking and sweating it out

Then Later following Mark Twain sage advice that the only known cure for hangover is to keep drinking. That is the Korean Hangover cure And it works

I had my first hangover at 16 when I was an exchange student for two weeks at a Navaho boarding school. Went out and got rip roaring drunk with the Indians They gave me an Indian name “Ski dish Digest “which means “Crazy friend” And I have now had Almost 45 years’ worth of experience dealing with hangovers a hangover is god’s punishment for drinkers

Today I wrote down the following hangover poem which I will share, and I would love to hear your Hangover stories please post them below and I will share them

Hangover reflections
Hangover Gods Punishment For drinker
A hangover is god’s punishment for drinkers
Nothing more than that God’s way of punishing the drinker
God’s punishment is severe for the sin of overdrinking
Of course, the only known cure for a hangover is to keep drinking
Very much need of a cure today
Every day one has too much to drink
resolve to quit drinking fill one’s head

For Brian Blankenship, a heart worth remembering

Stronger than I could imagine being,
Reminding me that love isn’t always agreeing –
But it is fiercer than a roaring lion,
Just like this man we all called Brian

His light fell gentle among the shadows,
Erasing the dark, embracing the One who rose –
Silencing the fears with His own tender tears,
He has a new life, now, meant for Jesus’ heirs

Faithful to the One whom he always clung,
He knew Him since he was so very young…
Recognized the joy that comes to life inside,
Grace that grows so certain it can’t be denied

Everyone who knew Brian, knew He was a light,
Reflecting Jesus’ promises, His amazing insight –
Into the spirit, the heart and the soul, the belief
Comforting even the worst darkness, however brief

There isn’t a soul who knew him on this earth
Who wasn’t touched by his kindness, He was worth –
More than words can describe or explain away,
He was more valuable than these verses can portray

Whatever happens, whatever sacrifices we make
There is the certainty that God won’t make a mistake –
When it was time to go, Brian was undeniably ready,
His relationship with Jesus had always been steady

Everyone down here will miss the preacher, the man,
But everyone in heaven is singing praises, for the lineman –
Who finally came to meet with the Savior of his soul,
Jesus, who invites every heart to be made whole!

Yes, we’ll miss him more than words could explain,
But there is no doubting, he’s with One who will reign –
Forever, through eternity, with love wiping away every tear,
Yes, we’ll miss him – but I’ve convinced there is no need to fear!

He’s with the Father now – He’s with Jesus, the Savior and Son,
He’s experiencing glory, now and that will never be outdone –
He’s filled with joy now – joy forevermore, joy on the other shore,
He’s with the Father now – He’s with the One who we’ll forever adore!

Hymn of Reflection

When at last I shall sail
Away from this turbulent sea
I shall leave the crumbling tent by the shore

When my toil now is done
And forever I rest
When the storm is over
I shall forever sing melodies

We sail against the wind
The wavy tide of roaring sea
Tossing us up and down, defying our faith

Jointly our foes gather
Like the swamp of the locust pests
But our God, mighty in battle – our help!

Onward! We shall not faint
Ahead of us, victory is sure
Christ’s for us! Nothing against us can stand

With delight shall we sing
Farewell, world of pains and peril
In the glorious morning that we shall meet.

Premium Member A Lighthouse on a Rocky Cliff

On the seashore, stretching endless,
There stands a lighthouse, a beacon of light.
Staying alone, it faces the roaring waves,
Guiding lost sailors and ships aright.

It often watches thundering breakers
It doesn’t command them to be still
Nor chase the brewing storms away
But sheds light poised on a rocky hill.

How many stories a lighthouse has to recount!
Stories of havoc, plunder and shipwreck,
Tales of escape from the fury of typhoons,
Of love and romance enacted on the deck.

Each lighthouse holds a mystical allure.
Broader at its base and narrower on its face,
It has a cylindrical and tapering shape
And stands as a sentinel with a piercing gaze.

In each one, there’s a lighthouse shining within
It guards us from all storms brewing inside
Shedding light along life’s murky tracks,
Leading us to coveted destinations like a guide.

AbIde the faithful their sole journey,
BaSking rays of summer's retreat,

CoAstal clutter of crowds roll on,
CeLebrities of the day made true,
LuLled breaks in surf even the tide,

NeCks swivels as eyes scouts the beach,
GoOd times are roaring inland,
MoUnting waves indulges the brave,
DeLving surfs stirs the underwater sands,

Wems Henry Temmy Psalm 57

I cry at the middle of some nights
When loneliness couldn't bear fights
The roaring silence dare not claim rights
For each time trouble shoots, brings frights
Oh lovely and dying moment, benights

All through, I couldn't hear my voice
Yet, my environ is living in solemn noise
And my muses are my best convoys
Regulating my pen safety and turquoise
To bleeding in a sensational poise

For each time I try to console my wailing
I never get to back out the thrill failing
Of free from the captured thoughts assailing
In its swing up down; left right detailing
Young yonder mountain's view; echoes ailing

It seems like a mile away from being true
Just and brilliant ideas for closed eyes anew
Busy and jestful logics for open minds off clue
Yet open eyes and closed minds couldn't bid adieu
For the fuse of hue lights the night's glue

With every single tide I can't wait to turn
Gets rough to handle with care to yearn
The aesthetic value of what to learn
Honor and grace of its nominal fee to earn
How consistently it has been over struggling concern

For my permission to stamp and burn to ashes
The treasured supposedly not caches
Trying my hardest time to open my eyelashes
Making out ever unbearable rashes
Which I have got to cope with; everyday clashes

There is no need to trace memory lane
For joy lies not in past glory once attained
Unless pleasure cripples to sleep profound brain
Definitely strength has never for once ascertained
Reason mind experience such nice insane--

To win struggle in loneliness via courage
Killing fear of death living in rage
Needs and desires dwelling in Cambridge
What dreams in light heals and envisage
With time to become true cum noble heritage

Gear fear in fair hearing from my solemn mind
Oh lord, kindly hear my cry foaming blind
Through nature explicit sins undefined
Before fate goes out of hand unkind
To win the lottery of cruel worth enshrined

Night has been the compassionate judge
The transforming cookie of fortune storage
Dishing out in abundance when mercy nudge
That even when sins; pure ones hold grudge
Grace pace form the unrelenting smudge

Mornings are my advocate-- reliable lawyer
That pen down the tush street warrior
Those who have been true naysayers
And honestly good and loyal surveyor
Let me say "well done the ball players"
