I have really long hair,
don't understand why people stare.
I'm looked down upon by society,
they try to destroy my dignity.
The people call me lazy and low class,
'cause my mop is almost to my ass.
They call me a hippy refugee,
and try to discredit my capability.

I drive a beat-up old car.

I live at the local bar.

My vehicle didn't pass emissions,
now I can't get tabs.
My car no longer has insurance,
now I'm chasing taxi cabs.
So, I borrowed plates from a regal,
that belonged to my ex-honey.
Now my mopar looks street legal,
what a way to save money.

I smoke hand rolled cigars.

A wish
To be reached upon,
Either by voice or
The finest productions of
What may become of a message
Whether to happen
When needed most
Or simply
by a dream;
I find the night to tend more rampant
Than pains harshest devotions
and of those yet to have been shown to me
With such a repetition
A shattered grasp upon another infinity
Loses the bearing hand, scattering into an oblivion,
or at least to where I may not see.
So here, I fall towards the wonder,
That if it be the latter,
Then climbs the possibility any
Would hate to bear.
For when the morning comes,
Every night following without
Becomes a consideration,
Strange but with a hurting favor,
fair
Are you leaving me for your real world
With your own concerns,
Or would it be I,
Leaving you
for where I cannot freely return?
May my wish for your greeting
Trap myself within a world
Blinded in shades of illusion?
Could your answer
Cast any of our privileges
Upon a tolling void?
How may a wish for peace
Change with an honest answer into something horribly disturbed?
May it solely be a decaying prayer
Assessing all of what may come
From a falling voice?
I do not know
If I want to know
But here I ask
And it is my wish
I understand if I may be refused permission
ACTORS BIOGRAPHY
____ ____ is an actor most famous
for his role as John Smith on the TV series Unnamed.
He is from the UK and started his
career having minor roles in small
touring stage productions for a year.
From 2023, he was cast as a
supporting role in a West End
production of Transient at the
Evanescence Theatre.
Migrating from the stage to the
screen, he had some uncredited
parts in short-lived television
shows.
In 2024, John Smith was a role that
he auditioned for. Initially, the role
was offered to another actor but
was turned down due to them
having to go into rehabilitation.
He worked on Unnamed until his
sudden firing from the show in
2026. Little is known about the
reason for this. However, it could
be linked to his current issues with
tax avoidance and alcoholism.
After a measly four year career, he
is no longer working in the industry.
what will happen to us tomorrow
if we dont prepare for it today
will all these luxuries that we treasure
soon fade away
will unemployment continue to rise
cause there is no more revenue to be earned
while the economy slip deeper in resession
as our banks and wall street crash and burn
will we continue to over jeporedize an
unsanatize world of our own
while the smog and pollution constantly rise
beet down and destroy our ozone
or will we be wipe out by a virus
that spreads in rapid productions
or be destroyed nation by nation
with our weapons of mass destruction
one of these or maybe all will happen
if we dont change our ways
and the only way we can start
is by living tomorrow today
Marlene Dietrich was Berlin-born, but she despised the Nazis.
She studied violin, theater and poetry.
Her dreams of being a concert pianist was over when she injured her wrist.
She got her start on the stage in a chorus line.
Paramount pictures wanted her, so they wooed her.
Gave her a green Rolls-Royce Phantom II, in 1930.
She was known in the USA as a mysterious femme fatale.
She played several rolls as a cabaret singer.
German’s Nazi party offered her a lucrative contract.
They wanted her to return to Berlin and star in Nazi productions.
Marlene refused their offer and began selling war bonds.
Her $450,000 salary went into escrow to help Jews and dissidents escape Europe.
She was vocal about her beliefs, standing up for integrity.
She knew what was happening in Europe was wrong.
Few women are as brave, vocal or beautiful as Marlene Dietrich.
Many owe their ancestors’ lives to her.

I write a lot of horror poems but those aren't what I've been posting at Poetry Soup (the horrors and fantasies appear in magazines and anthologies). Light verse such as "Snuffle" undoubtedly gives people a mistaken impression of what I write most, if this is all they see.
But I have always been especially fond of "Snuffle," originally written in honor of folklore author and Buddhist Darroll Pardoe, who included it in an issue of his letter substitute Pig on the Wall decades anon, and much later included in my collection Lake of the Devil: Poems of Morosity and Jest (Duck's-Foot Tree Productions, 1995) limited to 75 copies.
Amuck in this life, she fights and bumbles
Onward and forward she kicks and stumbles
Easily, angrily, quickly she grumbles
While in the distance dark thunder rumbles.
At last she falters, listens, then mumbles
“Good God!” and into oblivion tumbles.
“Soul’s Battle” first appeared in the Dead of Night Newsletter, July 1994, then collected in Lake of the Devil: Poems of Morosity and Jest (Duck's-foot Tree Productions, 1995) limited to 75 copies. It was included in the poetry section of the omnibus edition of novel, poems, and tales Anthony Shriek: His Doleful Adventures; or, Lovers of Another Realm (Centipede Press, 2017). It is also included in my forthcoming Hippocampus Press collection The Ghost Garden and Further Spirits.
Time shines with diamond in my life
I’m smitten to catch, I’m enticed…
I chaste to hug and value every second
For speedy growth of my work-productions
To get the abundant fruits or flowers all in bloom.
Oh, I love every diamond of time
Squandering is remote for me, workload whines
I hate any deficit, bankruptcy or loss
For I could never bring back its swift passages
So I’ll save, use wisely…on air-
I’ll always catch, grab and never toss.
We can’t buy diamond of time
No one can measure its price
But it's found everywhere-- available and free
Valuing it is also a great appraisal
On our self-worth ---object or agree?

Unwavering she stood on her merits
a smile eased across her face
she had won and the project
which had been said to be a
"boondoggle" would neither
seem wasteful or unfunded.
Might morning have this
Fizgiger humbled
that the night eager
folk would wake to there
disappointment.
As mean as they would
think I am, there disappointment
would stem from the lack
of equipment which
will doom there affords.
Morning came and the cheers of many
people became jeering murmurs
I told you that this was a fictious
want that was underfunded in it's
beganning.
It had poteital but the equipment needed to
produce and reproduce wasn't
availible in this region of the world
The area is a quag mire
it's instability itself
makes it difficult to navigate
fully without regret
hearing him speak
she used his eagerness to
stop the project as a focalling point
to get things inline
it has to be in order
for success.
she sourced equipment
and things that were near to what
they needed was bought
and transformed to be usable
they developed an assembled line to mass produce
items needed
and sold things they created to fund there project.
weeks and month of endeavoring
"the work in progress' Moises
removed some of the myths
assocated with the stagnant positioning
that had limited the project in the first place.
