I look around at the people today
Wondering what happened to happier times
People die from making love
No one ever asks why
Children are shot while they play
No one ever asks why
Our heroes show people how to cheat and lie
No one ever asks why
Teens spend their lives before a lit screen
climbing towers and shooting innocent people
Death has become a game
No one ever asks why
Others have forgotten how to talk
Guns, bullets and knives speak for them
No one ever asks why
Kids learn to hate before they can talk
They listen to their parent's hate
and grow up not questioning.
No one ever asks why
People kill in the name of their God
although they all believe in the same god
No one ever asks why
Young men die on a field miles away
not knowing, and not asking, why
No one ever asks why
Our friends become our enemies
Our enemies become our friends
No one wants to just sit and talk anymore
No one ever asks why.
Why doesn't someone ask?
today the top of my mountian
was at the end of a line
as i walked around the corner
i saw how far i had to climb
i saw hundreds of people standing in line
i've never seen so many people voting at one time
several times i'm sure tears welled in my eyes
my heart was filled with something
you can call it pride
because sometime ago our hope was realized
and we began to come together
to give it one good try
the regulars stoped looked, smiled and sighed
some you can clearly tell walking
with tears in eyes
as i walked through the door
i knew my moment had arrived
for me to do my small part
to keep a dream alive
i voted for my candidate
with the issues on my mind
yeah: i thought about race
if i said i didn't, i'd be lying
but in the political race
the best candidate was mine
i think this time we have a winner
a winner yes this time

You should vote because America needs your voice.
If you decide to do it, you'll be making the right choice.
When some people complain about how the Government is being run, it's partly their fault
because they don't vote.
Please cast your ballot right now or we all may wind up in a sinking boat.
Some people are saying that Democrats won't vote this year, I hope that isn't true.
I'm begging you to vote now because America needs you.
You can vote for Republicans or Democrats.
Your vote is very important and that's a fact.
Voting is a privilege that we should never forget.
If you vote, it will be something that you won't regret.

What happened in America's past
is a truth too hard to swallow,
and because of a few who did much wrong:
blame was put on an entire race,
and now the stain is washed away,
and all people rejoice and pray!
The winner is elected President,
and the defeated congratulates him...
with moving words filled with humbleness,
and sheds no tears of disappointment!
If his dream becomes our dream,
there's a better reason to sing:
the hymn of freedom and brotherhood,
to forever change that undignified image in an exuberant moment
and be viewed differently by the peoples of the world
that have finally seen her divided people come together and celebrate!
Decades ago, this all seemed impossible to envision...
someone to embark on a long journey and deliver the promise
to all with an indissoluble and unswerving certainty,
defining his victorious moment and sharing it with them:
while his strong voice thunders among frantic faces,
making history in the sacred name of liberty...
being recognized and watch the stain being washed away after all,
but the toughest challenge is to achieve what he promised!
