Blindsided To Craft Eye Catching Title

(alternately christened great insight
to those who Braille)

Ah.... so glad thee did ask
summoning poetic title
tis most daunting task
if lucky forthcoming praise
will yours truly to bask

and bathe with short lived,
while I quaff vintage
amber liquids out the
golden silver made flask.

Utter exhaustion taxes me
fifty shades of gray matter
while trying to grasp just
one measly idea amidst
all that scatter

to and fro hither and yon
analogous to mire and muck
that doth splatter
courtesy nasty driver
mad as a hatter.

Yours truly scrunches his brow
in an effort to provide,
enable and allow
gamut of meaty notions,
when finally satisfied utter holy cow,
mama mia, eureka, aha... ejaculate
(hoop fully not premature),

cuz arduous effort analogous
to navigating dhow
sailing frothy, choppy, angry... seas
until sudden (b)rain storm doth endow
sudden burst of inspiration
compelling necessary thrust to plow

ahead and expound therein how
so ever dictates of spontaneity now
let me smoothly coast along
offering scant obeisance, thou
divine fabulous intervention,
hence I feebly kowtow

despite covenant, viz devout atheist
nonetheless puzzled what activates
hitting me figurative pow
similar to Batman disabling enemy,
temporarily speechless disbelief
merely summoning wow.

Much time yours truly doth calibrate
what seems bajillion years I agitate
sitting days, weeks, months...
in an effort to nearly ready to abdicate
and disappoint countless followers

thus, this wordsmith doth dedicate
a section of this battlefield... before to late
(think Gettysburg Address)
no matter minuscule chance fate
will find mine path crossing
unknown online respondent(s),

whose feedback doth inflate
inestimable self confidence (ha)
generally held in check modesty sedate
even when praised in person, I emanate
introspective mien downplaying
genetic and/or environmental factors

wherever talent did originate
cobbling words together arose
courtesy this bookworm
doth really associate
predilection to hash out poem.

Premium Member Life's a Slice

In spite of my advancing years
One thing always remains constant
My joy for life, love and happiness
The blues are almost nonexistent

Why was I chosen to be the lucky soul
With this devil-may-care attitude
While others can't seem to catch a break
Every day they're screwed and tattooed

Is it just the luck of the draw
Do we really have a say in the matter
You can surely bet your sweet bippy we do
Betcha think I'm as mad as a hatter

Where did that silly old saying originate
What is a mad hatter anyway
Must be from the dark ages methinks
Don't hear of those guys nowadays

Okay, seems I've drifted a bit off the track
To get back to my love of life
Guess I'll just let the good times roll
“Jump up and yell, “life's a slice!”

Premium Member I Am

I am history you insidious people!
by definition I have happened and I have passed.
You cannot erase my memories…for my influence is vast.

People know what happened!
Your attempts to ignore me is barbaric and misbegotten.
People know what happened!…and people talk…
therefore…I shall never be forgotten.

I am books you ignorant people!
I am written to make you think, to make you angry…to inspire.
Any attempt to burn or ban me will ultimately backfire.

People will remember words they’ve read.
Your attempts to remove them is barbaric and misbegotten.
My words will be re-written…therefore…they shall never be forgotten.

I am free speech you fools!
I originate in the minds of people from the East, West, North and South.
Do you think you can stop my mind from thinking just because you close my mouth?

Your attempts to take away my speech is barbaric and misbegotten.
Because I refuse to wear your muzzle…hence…my words will never be forgotten.

Yes…I am history, I am books, I am free speech!
Your attempts to ignore me…to ban me…to silence me…
will always be barbaric and misbegotten.
Because…In spite of these attempts I shall endure…
and I shall be remembered……
long after you have been forgotten.

Sparkling Gem 5 Old Problem New Possibilities Do Not Stop Praying

Don’t stop praying
Because God is working in ways we cannot see!
Prayer is an awakening to new possibilities
Prayer is the engine of the kingdom
Prayer is the call for the Manifestation of the Kingdom
Prayer must originate from God
Our prayer should never be asking the LORD
To do what He has no desire to do!

Prayer expresses the Kingdom of God
The WILL of God is always in search of a WAY OUT on this PLANET
Calling on the Name of the Lord is Good
Our citizenship is in Heaven so we have to
Understand our legal rights as children of God
The Name of Jesus sanctifies our prayers

Prayer is the engine of the kingdom
Prayer must originate from God
Our prayer should never be asking the LORD
To do what He has no desire to do!

Prayer has been robbed of its majesty!
What a tragedy when we do not understand
The history of prayer; prayer is the Yes in Christ Jesus!
Prayer is ESSENTIAL because the Will of God is always
In search of a WAY OUT on this PLANET!
Don’t stop praying
Because God is working in ways we cannot see!
Prayer is an awakening to new possibilities

Premium Member The Magic River

Deep inside the forest of the Elvin King.
There flows a magic river from an ancient spring.
They say its special waters hold the mystery of youth.
And should you take one little drink you’ll know that it’s the truth.

The waters all originate from way up in a fountain.
That’s hidden very cleverly inside of Elvin Mountain.
The extraordinary liquid looks like little diamond chips.
Granting youth to everyone with one or two small sips.

The river has a secret that is only known to elves.
For centuries, the mystery still kept between themselves.
They say it is the reason that they live so very long.
And that aside from giving youth it also makes them strong.

People come to drink the waters from the distant lands.
Even from the ocean and the beaches rich with sands.
Everyone has tried to guess its power through the years.
Little do the people know the river’s strength is tears.

For every time a little baby elf begins to cry.
They take the little baby tears up to the mountain high.
They drop them in the fountain where they travel down the spring.
Creating all the magic that the river waters bring.

One small sip of precious water on a person’s tongue.
Will instantly transform them to the way when they were young.
So if you find the Magic River take a sip or two.
For it will surely make you feel just like you are brand new.

Premium Member The Heavens

The heavens,
Of reaching them, have I set my aim
In their essence do I dwell
From their roots do I originate
And in them,
Lies my heart!

Yet, I shall renounce of them
Shall it be
That the whispers of the night
Scathe me!

I shall renounce of them
As, how am I to enjoy them
If I shall have to enjoy their
Thousands of moons
All alone?

I shall renounce,
Even if such shall hurt the Gods
I shall renounce,
As my cause remains that of love,
Love which have been paved
Here, in a realm which makes the purity
Of its bond even more difficult
Love, which has its meaning in the stars
Love, on which relies the cosmos
To keep its beating heart on!

Pray,
After all,
I did choose to fall for the sake of this love
I did choose to fall on an Earth
Which laughs at the misery of its children
I did choose to fall
Merely because the love willed to me
Clawed at my heart, tearing it into tiny pieces!

Being happy requires being selfish
In my selfishness
I choose to renounce of the heavens
Even if such would require
That my soul ceases to be!

Why, I remain, here
A puppet dancing to the tunes of fate
I remain, here
A being whose life belongs not to her
I remain, here,
As seaweed, drifting at sea
Pulled by the tides,
Or wilting on the shores
As long as I remain of use to those powers
Watching over me!

But the pain is getting harsher,
And harsher
As if it were the dagger of gloom
Pleasuring itself in plunging into the
Softest parts of my mortal body
Laughing at the blood being drawn from it
Enjoying my tears
And my despair!

It is all a matter of time
It is just one life
I shall have not another
The heavens,
Of the hope they give do I
Build my strength
But I shall renounce them
If such would be required!

Premium Member Tombstone Turmoil

Alabaster you say? Or is it a tombstone slab of lime?
I know my sister has decided to irritate me during this field trip.
Where did it originate? Did anyone see the vandals?
I have no words; knowing my sister has transmogrified.

No one can shapeshift harder or faster than Cara.
Now the trick is to get rid of the audience before I cast my spell.
They would stop letting me teach school if they knew I was a Wiccan.
Hear sister giggling, knowing she has put me in a precarious situation.

“How are you going to get it out of the tree roots?” PTA member asks.
“I have my ways, but it has to be done without an audience, “I say.
They begin to mutter. I can hear them say “crazy,” and it irritates me.
I cast a fast spell and Cara turns into a teensy toadstool.

“Where is it?” Someone asks.
The others are awed.
I pretend I do not know where the tombstone is either.
A toddler points at me. Her mother kisses her fingers.
Catastrophe averted.

You Stand Out

where do i start
i guess i'll enter here
i am but i mere insect as an observer on the shade
the stillness of the night causes your true beauty to move
no man has ever appreciated you, yet and still you keep it all in control

where do i begin
i guess i'll remain in this spot
i am but a mere insect as an observer on the shade
the calm of the quiet calmness causes your natural essence to shine
no man has ever really supported you morally, yet and still you remain focused and ready

where do i originate
i guess i will become a mainstay right where i am planted
i am but a mere insect as an observer on the shade
the gentle breeze of the darkest hour causes the mystery of you to become more complicated
no man has ever sincerely loved you, yet and still you remain hopeful in your journey and keep the faith

Premium Member MAGIC IN THE WATER

Perhaps the earliest lesson we absorb inside our mother’s womb as we’re waiting to be born…
is how there’s magic in the water keeping us secure and fed and warm.

It’s a lesson that continues from the moment of our birth:
How there is magic in the waters that flow across the Earth.

There is magic in the water that showers us from above
keeping everyone and everything alive…
for without the water from the rain we humans couldn’t survive.

There is magic where our tears of joy originate and our tears of sadness flow….
Magic in the water of our eyes…
Supplying us with tears…anytime we need to cry

There is magic in how each drop of water understand it’s value…it’s own worth
each knowing with time and patience…and when joined by other drops of water…
it can change the landscape of the Earth.

There is magic in how a misty rain, an ocean, a river or a stream
can soothe us when we’re troubled…and encourage us to dream.

So…if there’s magic in the water that surround us…
wouldn’t this also be true:
Since each of us is 60% water…
there must be magic in us…too.
