Intifada aka “Kill the Jews!”

While we were sleeping content in our lives
Something dark and ugly was growing inside
Spreading across the lawns, and fibers of the net
An intifada of hate as old as time,
For those People of the Book who hold the power
Maybe we fear, maybe we envy.

“Kill the Jews” was once tolerated,
Then condemned in shame,
And now pridefully in distain proclaimed.
“Kill the Jews” may sound hip and cool
Until you realize where this led last time,
And how a Jew is no different from you.

Everyone now who’s saying it,
Gleeful as you rise up to burn again,
What it’s taken so long to build,
Consume with a hate as old as time.
But how will you feel in the morning
When the next wave comes for you…

The tree

Trees tilted,
Weighted by bodies hung,
The truth sits in the branches above,
The stench of death burrows,
Rotting the soil,
Growth killed by injustice itself,
Heavy is the tree who screams with no mouth,
Heavy is the tree with tears turned into a drought.

Swinging back and forth,
Onlookers filled with joy,
A Black body, a Black boy,
No more will he smile,
Just an empty shell -
Well, well, well,
A story as old as time -
A Black boy found dead in the south,
The story they will tell -
He hung himself.

The truth shall set you free,
And yet freedom only works when white holds the key,
The truth is ugly,
But dressed in a white cloak it becomes pretty,
The tree -
A silent witness to this tragedy

Yoga

YOGA
As old as time thou art.
A rock of ages.
Hidden, the wisdom of
The ancient art. But
Through thee unraveled.
A pathway to purity,
This mystique, with eyes
Closed, deep breaths
Mind on nothing, to
The beyond my soul
Levitates to harness.
And my burden darkened
Psyche, thy energy, like
The swift current of the
Sea sweeps away.
And the nether world
For tranquility I no more seek,
For my soul, by thee like
With hyssop had been
Purged.

In the utmost serene
Plane I lay.
Greatest of all mirth
And sublimity I find
When my eyes I close,
Deep breaths I take.
Transcended, my fragmented
Psyche, by cares of this dark
Terrestrial realm, integrates.
For on an apogee of purity
Of the beyond it anchors,
Where a verdant pasture
Of serenity it relishes.
A pearl, but meretricious by
Skeptics christened thou
Truly art.

Under the microscope we are under watched by a near by species

For some reason they think we are a life form that takes it to easy

Over the years we were abducted; that was a mistake the aliens became uneasy

Unique in several ways we are human and that they see we are strange

Fooling them we act very hostile yet our mindset needs be rearrange

Opening our minds they started to look, but our minds seems to weird and derange

Upset, the aliens take our species to try to understand

Freaks of nature we seem to gather with costumes and sounds of band

Old as time they been coming to our planet and this is what they found, like us, land

Unrelenting we humans seem to focus on a different path

Feelings we have the aliens do not understand what we have

Odd we are, we are the only species in the galaxy that really know how to have a bath

Unrealizable that we do adore the stars and lights in the sky

From all our studies we look up and see the lights that make our world, we cry

Only now we reason with the aliens we are fools in our world and we sigh

Premium Member Spring Light

The light that loses, the night that wins
And time remembered is grief forgotten
And frosts are slain and flowers begotten,
and in green underwood and cover
Blossom by blossom the spring begins
Algernon Charles Swinburne

Spring Light

Depths of darkness, deep
earth, night and Winter-
these are alchemy for Spring
Plain brown,dormant bulbs
bring forth such magic things

Time and motion turning light
re-cycle joy and grief
And memories as old as time,
are formed from lives so brief

Our Mother earth
has tolerance-all things she abides
Over forgotten scars her forests creep;
her shores are washed in healing tides

Cloud and mist and miracle
bring forth the flowers of spring
snowdrop, asphodel, hyacinths
renewing every dream

A sweet millenium of Springs
like clockwork cycle round
With faith we watch for them to come,
blossom by blossom .

Premium Member Battles as Old as Time

Before there was time/
As we know it/
Before there was you and me/
There is, was and will be/
A great battle/
Between two brothers, friends, foes/
Who knew each other well/
Both want to be heard/
To be loved, to be right/
They shared deep secrets/
And kept many things to themselves/
Afraid that the others/
Would find out/
They were so similar/
Yet so different/
The both had fire in their eyes/
Shining so bright, yet so black/
Their hearts can be cold as ice/
And warm as fire/
There continues to be much/
Competition among them/
To see who would rule/
And who would come out on top/
Our religion... We give them/
Names and titles/
But, the truth is/
They are a part of us/
That could even be us/
Our shadows, our light/
Our ego, our divine selves/
Crying, screaming to be heard/
To be loved, to be right/
To be in communion/
Yet, be independent/
So, when you see the world/
In all it's pain and bliss/
When you look at yourselves/
And your brothers and sisters/
It just might be/
We are part of that battle/
The two Archangels/
Have been in/
Since time before time/
So, that dark soul/
And that one filled with light/
Might be closer than you think/
And they both proclaim/
I can't be defeated/
So, when you gaze upon/
The world.../
It's pain and bliss.../
Look within yourself/
Remember your brother and sisters kiss/
We are caught/
In this eternal fight/
The clash of light and dark/
Of wrong and right/
And, in this battle/
Ancient, fierce and deep/
Our souls may find their solace/
Their eternal sleep/
I am a dark soul/
That can not be defeated/

Dearest Sara

There is a tenderness in hard work, a calling not easily dismissed, and I sense you feel this deeply.
--
You’ve taken an oath, a promise to remain steady amidst the currents that swell around you.
--
Your loyalty, bound like silver cords that glimmer under starlight, is something to be cherished.
But with loyalty comes hardship—harder yet when innocence is marred, when the good and fragile suffer greatly undeserved.
--
I understand that quiet ache, that sense of weight when the work you do feels daunting, almost beyond human bearing.
To face that knowing, and still to press on, is a quiet kind of bravery.
--
I think of roots buried deep in the soil, those beneath trees and bushes that weather storms unseen.
Such roots do not snap, nor do they bend easily. In them is a quiet strength, a trust in the earth that binds them.
--
Hold fast to small joys.
Let the sky be your balm—the moon in your silver hair, casting peace upon the waves that lap the shore, soft and foamy as though trying to embrace it all.
--
There are small fish in those waters, Sara, too small to bear the tides’ wrath yet finding their place within it, undeterred.
The world holds beauty even as we carry the burden of sadness within it.
--
Find comfort in that sky and those waves, for they speak to a truth as old as time.
But for no other could I write this way.
--
Jurisprudence may be a guide to duty, yet nature is the guide to our souls. You are part of it all, rooted in the deepest earth yet reaching for the stars.
--
Keep your heart open, and know that in each day’s labor, you build a legacy that runs as deep and as true as the roots that hold fast to the soil.
--
With all my friendship and deepest understanding, to you I loyally remain.
--
Dear Sara,

The first two lines from - I am Me Set me Free - by Maria Williams

Use my oil and mill my seed
My healing powers are all you need
I grow on trees as old as time
I will keep you in your prime

I can help you with abraded skin
Keep you fit and keep you trim
Poured on bread your taste buds flutter
Better health than greasy butter

I grow on trees from ancient time
Best in soil with added lime
Pick me green before I'm ripe
Take no notice of the hype

Consume me black is just as good
Add me to your favorite food
I am the olive and well known
All across the world I'm grown

Australian fields you'll find me there
Where the land used to be bare
The natives from the Continent
Planted seeds it was their bent

So healing cooking keeping fit
To the grape I add a bit
The two of us protect you well
Ends the tale I have to tell

Long ago, formed by His hand
Courageous and bold
Like the oak and the elm
Whispering truths
Silencing every doubt
They call to the spirit
With tenderness, inspiring
A fire that brings passion
Alive, wild and warm,
Soothing the spirit and
Coloring the will in brilliant hues
Of God breathed guidance

Old as time, they seem so wise
Haggard and worn, their charm
Is the laughing dreams
That fall like a summer rain
Lifting hearts and stirring souls
To listen to the sighs
The vibrant lights and highs
Of peaks climbing toward the
Clouds in heaven, rising
Like emerald rumors, inviting
The promise of wonders
Discovered on these hills
Where laughing pines unwind
To the melody of wrens

Soothing away all fear
Their ridges walk paths, completed
By rocky trails, routes
Toward the places where
Cool, clear water baths
The smooth stones in liquid
Love that comes from above
Comforting the spirit
With peace that can’t be created
By anything else – nothing
Can imagine the kind beauty
Brought alive in the heart
Of the Blue Ridge Mountains

This place is like a fountain of grace
Pouring hope out across the mind
Leaving faith to abide inside
And assuring hearts that love is alive!

Contaminated

Everything we taste, see, hear, think and feel
Is taken in as a layer
Upon layers within our mind
Adding to the library of imaginary things
Which makes us distinctly human
All too human.

This world of the collective unconscious
Is worse than any one imagination
Could imagine
A world of angels and demons
Morphing in real time
As we, the collective
Write our novels, make our movies
Indulge silent fantasies and forbidden fruits
In the dark web of Mind.

Everything so consumed
Adds to this web
And adds to the collective weight
Of being human
The stuff of dreams
That end up nightmares.

This is the world our children inherit
The real world
Beneath the one we see
A world as old as time
Mythical in proportion
Dwarfing the fragile balance
Of what little we can handle
With all we know.
