A Nightingale Sings of Dawn's Glory

Yet another surly night staring at a haloed moon,
until I heard a nightingale sing the glories of dawn.
Pastels painted the sky as he trilled an ariose tune.
To the mellifluous sound of his voice, I was drawn.

His dulcet melody was soothing my sorrowful heart
from the loss of a great love, a tragic circumstance.
His song uplifted me, since we'd been torn apart.
As he hailed the sun, I yearned for another romance.

I imagined that his vocals were a love song of hope
to begin each new day filled life instead of solitude.
No longer would I live in a somber mood and mope.
I would welcome every morn as sunlight was imbued.

Thank you, gracious nightingale, for your melodic tune.
You woke me from the doldrums of an unhappy spirit.
No more lonely nights would I stare at a haloed moon,
for you revived my soul, and I was fortunate to hear it.

“The rhythmic beauty of togetherness doesn’t fade for love is lyrical” - By Poet

My time is made of many happy hours,
when you give me a glinting prism of glass.
I split the sun spectrum in vivgyor colors
for your dainty face the dawning rays to flush.

In the facetted mirror on your enticing face,
the alluring motif of yearning comes in my view.
Your sweet smile laces your innate grace,
enwraps my heart, and I always find it new.

The lustrous lens of my longing I find magnify
the window of your heart for the butterflies
to enter, and with my ardor they merrily fly
with my love in languishing disguise.

My radiant lens of fervor focuses sharply you
onto my entranced eyes, I’m lost in reverie,
see your face gleam all the time anew,
painted on the canvas of my memory.

The music of my heart you’ll hear pass you by,
serenading in joy when with you I’m close.
The nightingale of emotion will fly in your sky
with the cadenced lyric of love I’ll compose.

He cannot see the sun…although he feels it on his back…
He cannot see the stars or the moon…for his world is painted black.

She cannot listen to the nightingale sing…or hear footsteps on the ground…
She does not know her mother’s voice…for her world is lacking sound.

He cannot climb the stairs…or jump high into the air…
He cannot walk or run…while confined to his wheelchair.

And we wonder how this is possible?
How did this come to be?
and what must life be like for those so different from you…and me.

So we attempt to come together without making too much of a fuss…
and we try to share our world with them…as they share their world with us.

With our friends who cannot see…we will be each other’s crutch…
as we explain the world we see…and they reveal the beauty there is in touch.

With our friends who cannot hear we find a way to understand…
We will learn to speak with one another…by talking with our hands.

With our friends who are in wheelchairs…we find a common goal…
we will show them how to rock…if they show us how to roll.

And though we’ll never truly understand each other…it’s enough to know we care…
as we slowly begin to realize…despite our differences…there is so much that we share.

And so we wonder…after experiencing our different worlds together…
and having so much fun…
If this kind of acceptance and understanding…would work for everyone.

Perhaps, then, we wouldn’t let our different countries,
different backgrounds…
different colors…
different beliefs…
create in us so much discord
so much pain…and so much grief.

What if the things that make us different…
instead of being feared and hated and banned…
what if the things that make us different
are just different things to understand?

Premium Member Your Ink Is Amazing

Evelyn Judy Buehler’s ink quills art,
“ Deep Vivid Colors” are a lovely sight.
“Mr. Sunshine” just warmed my entire heart,
Next I waved as “ Bye Bye Birdie” took flight.

Then two “Double Rainbows” captured my eye,
“ Butterfly Breezes” just filled the fresh air.
“ A Spectrum Of Bliss”, I didn't have a care,
When I saw the “Sky Blue my spirits were high.

“ Summer Days Ablaze” and often amaze,
I enjoy strolling through “ Fields Of Summer.”
In “The Still Hours” I must stop to give praise,
As the “ Sunshine” leaves it’s such a bummer.

Judy pens “ Satin Nights” on gossamer wings,
with skillful ink as the “Nightingale Sings”

Premium Member Quest of Allure Romantic

Perfumed breaths of rosy breeze
In lyrical refrain of redolent winds
Enamoring your pulse of longing
Compose harmonies euphonic
Strumming verses of heartbeats;

When nightingale sings song of eve
As buoyant river rushes to sea,
Giggling stream, greening prairies,
Voicing passions of iridescent spring.

But it is the moon on opal skies
That seduces your dream of dreams,
Proffering aura of esoteric smile
In covert hints of amorous night,
Lauding quest of allure romantic;

Hypnotizing your zealous soul
Ecstatic in my infatuating words
From song of heart rousing passion,
Crooning tender tunes of love
Tiptoeing to become your world.

Premium Member Last Night I Dreamt---

When the nightingale sang, I was under the sun
in a place far away where my childhood began
With my eyes butterflies, that would flutter and scheme
to color my dream with a place I have been

Last night, in a dream, one to cherish and hold,
I traveled through time to an eve long ago
Though the volume was muted, it resounded with love
A day soft and gentle, like a song of the doves

I could hear mother humming, as the evening grew long
While my dad tended fire, a burning yule log
There was smoke in the breeze, and a whippoorwill's song
that drifted in moonlight, and sailed by the face of the moon

There were echoes I heard, of house in the dark
My cat nestled close, at the foot of my bed
I was wrapped in the rapture, in a place I have known
of a time long ago, that would someday be gone

But for now, I will cherish this dream that I own
Last night was a dream that was taking me home
When the nightingale sang, I was under the sun
in a place far away where my childhood began

My Little Bright Moon In the Darkness of the Deep

In my darkest hour my little one.

When all else fails me

When the hour consumes me and all that holds me sane crumbles to dust

And my mind, my heart in like fashion follows
breaking to fine particles of dust

When my crippled soul staggers

Seeking the company of another

And my newest heart begins to beat

With a rhythm of another

When the vast lands of empty, cold, loneliness

Where my heart dwells begins to echo and howl

The sting of the cold haunting and taking foam from dust and wind

To howl and haunt, the whirlwind from the dry sea

Your care bared, your whole being loving all that I am

Is what i call my another and so says my soul

When my heart of hearts breaks apart and crumbles to fine particles of dust

And you my dearest bleeds a tear from your deepest depths of your heart

Spilling the fruits of your grief upon the dry dust of my being

Alike to the rain upon the deserts

Generously giving upon the dry, deprived, desert lands of my dwellings

Just like in magical stories, so is our reality in love

Just like a phoenix of the east, death will not prevail nor will nature keep me cold

Uncaring and beastly

For as bright as the firebird deep in depths of the dark

a flame of hope, so will i soar with the phoenix straight to Heliopolis your arms

Singing like a nightingale to you my dearest lover .

Are you attracted to eleven or more?

Should 21st Century poetry

For the new minds of a culturally bombarded generation

Be limited from 3 to 7 lines?

Before you answer

To me personally, even though to answer, makes my Heart aches

I like reading poetry built around subtlety

Concealed layers or secretive depths

Relatable interchangeable meanings

Powerful raw stuff that sometimes leaves your eyes wet

Unearthed within deciphering their carefully crafted imagery or subtext

3 to 7 lines of reading, might sound like heaven, but I'm old school

Give me Lord Byron
Shelley or Keats

But I guess
Like an Ode to a Nightingale

Maybe that's the beauty of poetry as She walks in Beauty

And like To a Skylark
It must sing

So I can only hope new generations enjoy poetry, so it continues to thrive and still live

Within whichever form, and exciting tales that will continue to make their own hearts beat

With all it can give

But for me
Reading deep poetry

Feels like sitting briefly, metaphorically, underneath a Cherry Blossom Tree

Enjoying a delicious drop of spiritual tranquility

Are you too, old school and what emotional fluctuations resonate with you?

Are you a three to seven or more like:

Eleven or more is heaven
Reader or writer

Who enjoys late all-nighters

A Nightingales Slumber

I bestow my eyes upon the most captivating of creations.
Her breath soft and steady as she falls more deeply into her slumber.
I listen as the silence she lay in becomes disturbed by the lingering sound of her breath as it escapes her lips.
I watch as the light begins to dance on her skin.
Utter adoration filling my soul as i softly stroke her porcelain cheek.
Bubbling laughter now fills my mind as a sweet smile is formed by her perfect strawberry lips.
I become lost at the sight of her beauty so peaceful as she rests beside me.
I drift in my thoughts taking in every part of her perfectly molded satin skin.
My nightingale so strong yet so poise.
In the early hours of yet another graciously granted morning i lay speechless..... I am taken by you! My love!
All i need all i crave nothing more than a mere reach away from my touch.
I smile as i bask in your ambiance.
As i close my eyes and draw you close i am thankful to my nightingale for another perfect ray.
