Come lift me high, higher through your flowers,
Let my senses pour over your timeless leisure
Fresh night the wind chimes of nature heaps,
Softly and tenderly buds start to unfurl ...
And russet fields parade their tassels
Beholding charms of your mid-March gladness;
Flickering down like embers’ fire, trees ripen
Born from the earth and air , fragrance unleashed:
Leaf to leaf, thrilling a fresh ballet that whirls
A recital of sways circling in dappled grass..
Oh, shade me then in watercolor evenings ;
As moonlight explodes with springtime’s caprice!

Mid-autumn lights with silver glow;
A sacred night to feel life's flow.
The placid lake seems so forlorn;
Love breaks or makes sad songs, sad dawns.
Here, I sit still -- I gaze, I look
Far beyond chill... a faded book.
Here, vastness fills the deep, dark night
With ancient will: gaze of moonlight.
Chance has conspired to take me here;
Yet, uninspired this moonlit sphere.
The moment sums our present glow;
Fate dams outcome in page that shows.
Mid-autumn moods flavour tea song;
In simple good that loiters strong.
With poets of old, I sit and stare:
Watch moon unfold wise ancient wares.
Moonlight magic inspires my lines;
Surge dynamic feelings sublime.

Here by this lake
Cotton clouds quest,
Colours now take
A festive zest.
Misty moods float
As kin and kind
Gather to gloat
Fond peace of mind.
On earthly grounds
Mid-autumn comes,
Moon glow floods round
As laughter sums.
Rapture and feast
Grand harvest reaps,
Love floods the gist
Of feelings deep.
Culture floods more
To anchor will,
Mid-autumn shores
As moon glow thrills.
Old folk lore shows
An esteemed way,
Hearts seem to know
How purpose pays.
Moon cakes and food
Move fond delight,
Meet gracious good
With warm hearts bright.
Watch children play
Prized lanterns here,
Old chorus sways
Such happy cheer.
Bright sparkles show
A profound touch,
Love as we know
Blooms joy so much.
Falling leaves tell
Of changing times,
Mid-autumn gels
Such lovely chimes.
Moonlit lake bright
Enchants that heart,
A spellbound night
Love arrows dart.
Mystic moods glow
In tale and myth,
Autumn now shows
The moon gate drift.
Now here we sit
With hearts at ease,
Share pun and wit
Sip teacup bliss.

a Santa suit-red
snowflake-white and pine tree-green . . .
my rainbow glistens
Like a rainbow after rain, the colors of the Yuletide season appear for many
of us to warm our souls in the cold of winter. This year my yultide rainbow began to glisten brightly right before Thanksgiving Day when snow swirled down rather unwelcomingly, for my son and his family from Oregon were driving in to see us at that time. No sooner had he arrived when he turned around and left, just one day after our small family feast at a buffet restaurant. How lovely that time was though -the food, the banter, and the after-dinner games.
After that brief time with my son's family, I spent the next few weeks mailing off Christmas cards and shopping for gifts, etc. Today I take note that the "big day" is exactly one week away. However, I will not have my son with me, for he lives too far from us, and his visits are infrequent. Consequently, getting together my children and their family members at one time and place is a very special and rare occasion. As rare as seeing a double rainbow!
After New Year's Day, I will return to work, my small vacation time expired. Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day and Easter, Tax day!! Then many birthdays, anniversaries, my mid-summer one-week break, and Halloween will lead me back again to the time of Thanksgiving. I look forward eagerly to them all; then I turn around, and they are gone. . .gone as swiftly as those two days that passed when I got to be with my son at my last Thanksgiving time.
Days, weeks, months, seasons, years. . . they come and they go - endlessly revolving through the four seasons of the lives of all humanity. As I keep marking off my calendar, I see those celebrations as the evanescent rainbows of my life and also the greatest paradox of life! The longer we live and relish life, the closer we come to its end.
seasons of rainbows
in a century will be . . .
all but forgotten

**My goal with this poem is not to divide and conquer on issues, and its not even to take sides. It is met to be about voting. It has nothing to do with what is on the ballet, my feelings, my political takes or demonizing those who don't agree with where I stand.
Today is the midterms are you voting?
Today is the midterms are you instead boating?
Do the issues of the nation have your head in a knot?
Do you simply hate politics a lot?
Do you think voting is a waste of your time?
Do you think not voting is a crime?
Did you first cast your vote in the 60’s for Kennedy?
Or maybe in the 70’s for Carter?
Maybe like me when you were in high school
Bill Clinton was the man that was cool?
Do you believe that many politicians will get canned?
Or do you think it will go as some people planned?
Today is voting day and it would be nice
If the political sides didn’t act like fire and ice.
Flung The monsoon midnight thunderings
When I thought of the thunder snow
Deep into the darkness chattering
Taking the summer sandstorm from out of my heart cold
Suddenly I heard some waiting
Only this and a thundercloud I crave
This the silent stormless star burstings
Alas that poacherous lightning I discovered waves
Those of the whirlwinds
I can't see, nor can I move go
I am deaf and blinded by thunder snow
Instead I uncovered the mess of spears skins
I craved the splendid sorrowful snow blizzard
Rising Sun dimly shining
The dust falls from the sky
Sounds of thunder went to's cry I crave
The splendid storm full qual
I felt compelled to sniff the air
To warn me about the chromosphere
The trees I could not awaken here
My ears popped my knees are shaking
I can't see nor can I move go
I am deaf and blinded by thunder snowing
That moment my soul grew stormless through the cries blow
And wonders has clouds collide
Making rumbles midnight thundering thunder
My eyes sighting clouds floating like a pillow ride
As the sun shines wondering crack boom kaboom-pow
I can't see nor can I move go
I am deaf and blinded by thunder snow/em>

Was better known as the 'beast who slaughters'

They hung him and cut him into quarters.
JOHNNY

Was testing one of his guns in his shed
The firing pin jamned

MING SO
A hammer thrower from China, Ming So
At the games it was her turn to throw
She swung it around

With excitement she'd forgot to let go.
RANDY MONK
There was a randy old monk from Biscay
With others wives liked to romp in the hay
With a smile and a grin
Said free loves not a sin
His Abbot didn't quite see it that way.
WOODCUTTER
There was a woodcutter from Tralee
Showed no mercy when hacking a tree
But the tree fought back
And in the attack
Broke his jaw, lower back and left knee.
TRAPPER
Into the woods he went hunting for bear
By sheer bad luck disturbed a grizzlys lair
Ran down the hill in fear
Smell of bear was quite near
Caught his foot in another trappers snare.

Are you having a Mid-Life Awakening?
So many versions of you over time...
Who do you take with you...
Who do you leave behind?
Some who lived, all who survived.
Someone's emerging but they're timid.
Someone old, but new?
It's confusing isn't it... Emerging as the combined and full you.
The one who also made choices that affected others.
The one who's life was often other's collateral damage.
Overlapping realities, do we keep blaming...? Hiding under the covers.
Can we focus our lense, onto ourselves now?
It's okay to be more than you ever could've perceived...
Comprehended even... And to still be a person who has Human needs.
While we awaken to our strengths, let's awaken to our weaknesses...
Let's welcome and make home to being born again without any external forces,
validation or social media butt kisses.
Welcome home, Dear Friend... A young you is proud.
Time to remove yourself from the crowd.
Just briefly, to understand there is a crowd of you within...
Let's sit with them, make home with them and work out who's to walk with you from
now on... And who's to be here with you, to live.
Dry leaves now fall, blossoms and hues;
Yes I recall life's sensuous cues.
Grand harvest fills, now autumn sums;
A calm joy spills, a festive charm.
On eastern shores, we gather round;
Celebrate more of ties that ground.
Festive moods spring seasonal change;
Summer did fling mid-autumn range.
Note Chinese way: this classic style
Spreads festive sway with moonlit smiles.
Mid-autumn moon floats like a pearl;
A glorious boon must yet unfurl.
Tonight, new moon feels radiant bright;
Spreads night's high noon, love's sparkling sight.
Fond wish for joy, fair maidens' cast;
True love's employ to wed at last!
Fair sweet hearts meet with anxious pulse;
Watch wit now greet chance and impulse.

The blooming luster of citrus oil
upon my pine cabinets, tantalizes my senses
and I am transported to the tropics,
escaping midwinter’s clutches.
The sun-kissed, sterling baubles
adorning each rolling wave’s crest,
are pearlesque raindrops dancing upon the
eternal sands; tiny cantaloupe balls for a
sand-crab’s weekend party.
A golden-orange sky-orb hangs above the
crystalline waters of the Atlantic;
a tangerine, popcorn ball for the angels to share.
I watch the cloud-angels gather overhead;
Raphaelite puffs swarm the carrot-colored skies;
a gathering of sacred rites,
that I am privileged to witness.
My skin drinks in the sweet, apricot nectar
from Heaven’s light-spray and I take another sip of
chilled Orange-Julius...ahh...
