Severo-Kurilsk in the Kuril Islands
the reports spoke of a 8.8 magnitude quake here
a quake that caused a tsunami wave.
from alaska to california thru mexico to the

they watched and waited
for the wave not know how intense it would be.

The Songs to appease Perun has angered Veles

quiet there worship
and after the strongest quake
he made the volcano erupt
and send out a tsunami to
dismantle the Temples

When Dinosaurs Inhabited the Planet

   When dinosaurs roamed the earth
(T-Rexes, Triceratopses, Stegosauruses, and Brontosauruses)
Millions of years ago during the Mesozoic Era,
The land lushed green from the oxygen-enriched environment,
And the lakes and oceans hued blue teeming with life
(Plesiosaurs and Ichthyosaurs, fishes, amphibians, and crustaceans),
While Pterosaurs (Pterodactyls and Pteranodons) commanded the skies,
And lizards, arachnids, and insects (dragonflies and cockroaches) thrived,
And tiny mammals crouched, hidden, waiting to evolve
Among flowering plant blooms and tree blossoms.

And in the far distance, volcanoes erupted
   Spewing ashes, lava, and gases.
Today, reptilian fossils are on display in museums
Alongside petrified trees to tell the story
Of when dinosaurs inhabited the planet.
                                     ***

Note:
The Mesozoic Era (aka the Age of Dinosaurs and the Age of Conifers) of Earth’s history began approximately 250 million years ago and lasted almost 180 million years [i.e., until around 65 million years ago in reference to the Holocene epoch (11,700 years ago to present day)]. The Mesozoic Era is divided into three periods: 1) Triassic, 2) Jurassic, and 3) Cretaceous. Mass extinctions mark the beginning and the end of the Mesozoic Era.
Two main orders of classification of dinosaurs existed during the Mesozoic Era: Saurischia (sauropods and theropods), and Ornithischia. Mammals evolved during the Triassic period and continued in both the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. Vegetation consisted mainly of conifers and ferns, with the appearance of flowering plants during the mid- to latter part of the Jurassic, which evolved to flourish in the Cretaceous period. During the Mesozoic Era, some species of theropod dinosaurs evolved into warm-blooded, feathered dinosaurs (aka avian dinosaurs), and then some species of avian dinosaurs evolved into birds, which appeared in the later Cretaceous period.

DINOSAURS

Let me take out my thesaurus
And talk about them stinky dinosaurs

I have my own theory on the Mesozoic Era,
First I'll share my reason on the Continental Drift
Who's to blame for the disconnection of our jagged sierra?
It could've been the Jurassic reptiles that caused the world to split!

My favorite meat eater is the ferocious Allosaurus
Sharp claws- sharp teeth,
terrorizing all the dinos walking on all fours.
Sneaking up while they eat and gaze the veggie heath.
Striping away chunks & chunks of meat!!!
A prehistoric predator eating his way to the top.
Preying on other dinos as if they where all pork chop.

I also like the silly Velociraptors!
These carnivores gathered and hunt in packs.
Should I call these wanna be birds 'gangsters'?
Since they had each others backs!

I also like that funny looking pea brain Stegosaurus
Look how his tiny little head is attached to that gigantic body.
I bet that dino was the dumbest of all dinosaurs

Once again imagine an 80 foot long Diplodocus,
or, a 90 foot long Apatosaurus- also known as the Brontosaurs.
Along with the largest known 45 foot tall Brachiosaurus.
Can you imagine a herd of these dinos over 40 feet tall.
Leaving a path of destruction like a tornado.
Turning the earth upright, tumbling the ground with one fall

Flying high in that sky, swooping down to the seas.
In the Pteranodon eyes, every thing looked like Pease.

Don't think I forgot about Mr.. T.Rex
How funny he looks with them little claw like hands,,
A nightmare in his own neighbor hood,
A scavenger, prowling to see what he could eat next
What a big O' bully that Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Lets not forget about the 3 horn Triceratop.
I wonder how long it took Mr.T.Rex to bring Sara to a drop

Last but not least
I like the little egg thieves
Hiding and kidnapping all them babies,
before they hatched, into their herds like armies.
Now that could be a theory to the real Dinosaurs Evolution.
One can't really say why the dinosaurs went away
Maybe the climate, or a star explosion leaking out radiation.
Scientist don't know why dinosaurs had an expiration!
I have a crazy thought!
Maybe all them egg eaters ate the dinosaurs into extinction.

Whiting a poem without the lette r

The lette r on the Macbook Po laptop compute
doth not function, thus I connected
an extenal keyboad coutesy USB pot,
and need to each ove ight hand ove left
and attempt to type the coect key
most often pessing othe then the coect lette
quite an impossible mission
afte daylight fades to dakness,
when dak shadows
glom the inteio light of the bedoom
essentially esembling the oute limits
of the twilight zone
whee the edge of night encoaches
challenging me to caft
an undestandable silly vese
letting these finges of mine
appea to andomly skitte
acoss the qwety keyboad,
but quite an effot went into painstaking effot
to shae how difficult communication would become
if (fo no paticula hyme o eason,
only twenty lettes compised
the Anglo Saxon alphabet,
o wose case scenaio
omitting the most common lette
namely the vowel e,
which does esult
in a baely compehensible output
of essentially esulting in utte gibbeish
pue gobbledygook to the most skilled English majo,
yet I must add how humoous the esultant output,
yet completely lacking sense and sensibility
gatis yous tuly (me),
an aticulate, chaming,
eudite, fun loving, pinteresting,
wodsmith yielding an outcome shifting
fom the idiculous to the sublime,
yet inteestingly enough
an anonymous eade
can fill in the blank omissions,
but afte slogging thu just this bief liteay example,
one could not imagine dagons
getting into a fiestom
tying to ead a stoy book about mythical beasts
that oam acoss the teestial fimament
as happened to be the case
when dinosaus dominated
as species numeo uno
duing the Mesozoic Ea,
also known as the "Age of Dinosaus,"
which spanned from appoximately
252 to 66 million years ago,
which ea divided into thee perods:
the Tiassic Period (252-201 million yeas ago),
the Juassic Peiod (201-145 million yeas ago),
and the Cetaceous Peiod (145-66 million yeas ago),
and fo whateve explanation Dinosaus became extinct
at the end of the Cetaceous Peiod,
with the exception of avian dinosaus,
which ae the birds that exist today.

No Title

(While reading this try to fit the melody
and rhyming rhythm with parts of Don
McLean's song "American Pie")

it was written in
the book of rocks
just looking at the
pictures for they can't talk
and dinosaurs were here
and every
where

the healthy ocean
bottom layer
with shells made
of and by soothsayer
creative crustacean
creators
forams for
thousands of years

then suddenly it all
came to a stop
if there's a god she
must have dropped
her watch forgetting
or regretting
what was made

it was then that there
was a single line
the k t boundary
well defined
no longer
limestone
but simple clay

then Atlas sat
and muttered something
someone heard
said it was nothing
and nothing is
exactly where
we're at

the prophets sat
around the table
sitting with
Cain and Able
Goliath
do you know who
cast that stone

with all the oceans
in commotion
red seas parting
arks a floatin'
Moses and Noah
knowing
noth
ing

Lao tzu's silence was
his answer
and Shiva thought
she was still a dancer
waving arms with
swords in hand
then Custer stood
and took
his last stand

but all this was
meaningless
the Golden Mean
means just this
while Fibonacci
contemplated
and ate
a slice of
Pisa Pi

the day
the Mesozoic
died

GAS STATION LIGHTS II

a lone ancient dark night
Your engine stumbles
rumbles, coughs to a stop
so close to E
The gas pump, blocky, digital
smells of gasoline
like a primordial dance
an intercourse of machines
rape of a Mesozoic age, processed
Petrol in a tank, deep
Swipe card, digital hum of circuitry
Choose your poison, your savor
Buttons—regular, premium,
Reek of diesel
Corruption
So many fingers have touched
that white square button
almost flesh-looking
White, pale, cracked, peeling
The horror of the mundane
You need to touch it
You want to
You have to
You have places to go
And miles before you sleep…
