There are so many roads in this world today
So many roads that can lead us astray
Which road are you walking on, walking today
Just follow my sign and you won't go astray.
There are highways and byways roads that go sideways
And some just go on and on
There are so many roads in this world today
Which road are you walking on.
Many signs on these roads are put there today
To guide us and show us the way
Some say go, some say stop, some even say dead end
There are so many signs on these roads today
They can drive you round the bend.
Just follow my sign and don't look back
Keep on walking, stay on the right track
Don't look to the left, don't look to the right
Look straight ahead keep Jesus in sight.
There's only one road into Heaven today
So get on it now do not delay
Follow my sign follow today
Look out for it, my sign is, one way.
Arise
Arise all you sleepers awake
Open your eyes for your souls sake
While the love of the world grows cold
Lord fill us with thy spirit to stand bold
While I am young but yet this world makes me feel old
You are the cornerstone of the construction
While I see many headed to destruction
Lord I stay focused on you
As you guide and pull me through
While keeping my mind free and clear
And banishing thy fear
In this evil world you relieve thy pain
And wipe away all trails of rain
I turn to you while you bring comfort and peace
For you have already defeated the beast
As you teach to watch out for others yeast
May your will be done here on earth
As we turn to you to receive new birth
While leaving the world delights
As our feet follow your light
Gliding swiftly eager to unite
Beneath a glass bubble
Exists a world all its own,
Tipped upside down
Its magic is known.
Sometimes it plays
An inspiring tune,
Other times its silence
Sings louder than the moon.
It displays a scene
That touches your heart,
Every little detail
Is a work of art.
Angels to animals
Children to Christmas scenes,
Each world under glass
Shows what life means.
Delicate and old
Shiny and new,
Each treasured globe
Provides an enchanting view.
Beneath a glass bubble
Exists a valuable treasure,
A creation of inspiration
That only the heart can measure.
I collect snow globes and have an estimated 80+ at last count. I have small ones, big
ones, musical ones, silent ones: and from every theme you can possibly think of from Xmas
to Disney and Halloween to angels. It is willed that when my time is up, the complete
collection will be donated to St. Judes Hospital.
Two thousand years ago a man was born
Raised, and praised.
Little did anyone see- that he would
Change mans history.
Many miracles were created while he lived
To this world he had so much to give.
Miracles still happen to this day
And to him we do pray.
Little miracles here and there
That with the world we do share.
A person who walked away from a car on fire
Only thing left was a burning tire.
An abandoned newborn found on a frozen street
How he survived without any heat.
A single engine plane crashed into the ground
Two hundred feet away the pilot is found.
9/11 was a disastrous day
But we had people who had walked away.
People buried in a caved in mine
All were found and are doing fine.
These are the miracles of which I speak
They may not have been of astounding feats.
Unlike the parting of the waters
Where the Jews walked through in an uncivil disorder.
All of them were shedding some tears
But GOD wiped away all their fears.
In every country in the world
There are miracles happening every day.
Is it GODS hand? Who is to say !
But with FAITH, LOVE , and HOPE
People accept it and learn to cope.
Don’t worry to much the stress will kill you
Just open yourself and let it all pass through
Don’t let a pebble turn into a boulder
Let the turmoil slip away from your shoulder
This world is always playing tricks on me
So I’m just going to laugh and not take it seriously
Let the anxiety become a total stranger
Stand up for yourself but stay clear of danger
Don’t ever make the same mistake twice
Go after the one you love no matter what the price
This world is always playing tricks on me
So I’m just going to laugh and not take it seriously
Don’t be nervous and keep your emotions bottled up inside
Stand tall and live in your own pride
Work hard but play harder so tension doesn’t take its toll
Pray to God everyday to free your soul
This world is always playing tricks on me
So I’m just going to laugh and not take it seriously
How great is thy name
The one who will always reign
At the word of your command
You made the heaven and land
Everything goes according to your plan
How great is thy Love
You sent your son from above
To show and tell of your love
He is the greatest this world will see
And came to set us free
He gave the world light
Leading us to you with all might
You watched him suffer and die
A criminals death
And then rose him filling
Him with your eternal breath
To sit in honor at your right hand side
And being the most wonderful guide
Comforting us in these wicked times
Many things will come and go
Like the fog in the morning
But your word and your name
Will always remain
“Let your light shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father
in heaven”
There is an eternal sight that lights the lives of men,
She is wondrous, full of rage and fury.
And with this turning of her page,
We stand at a crossroads of schizophrenic reckoning,
Of men and women great, vying for the mind of an era.
But to none I trust my fate,
For there is only one who can ignite me,
There is an eternal right that fights for all to see,
And in his gentle ferocity he knows the darkness that torments.
Some time ago, I was in a fallen mission,
And I knew a man whose light shined brilliant like my youngest daughter's gaze,
He died of Aids,
But let it be known, he raged.
I know a woman who lost her house, and back, and legs, and almost lost her soul as well,
But we prayed, and now she cries with tears of peace amazed,
Let it be known she raged.
I knew a racist spinster who gave my daughter diapers so that I could keep my lights on,
She died in bitter pain but not alone, for there is breathe that will not cease to breath,
It chooses whom it will to see the Son and so believe.
Some time ago, I thought that God would choose some souls for eternal flame,
And I raged on buses and trains trying to save who I could,
And when I came to see God’s love as I should,
I despised the shame, for still I raged.
I tell you, I’ve been wrong so many times, I scarcely know what's right,
But in blind sight I know this much,
That all of us will know his touch,
And together as one, the lot of us,
Will fight for a world with joy ablaze,
And when our salt has savored an age,
Then the world will know beauty.
But in the mean time,
We walk a line, between suicide and self worship.
Self Control and Paralysis,
Selfishness and Common Sense,
Service and masochism,
Fear and presumption,
We almost walk in darkness all together fearing the cross that saves us,
But in the end we shall say to that cross,
Come forth and take us for your fear no longer rules me!
For foolish things confound the wise,
And no price is too high so all might rise,
And we walk in the footsteps of a King from on high,
Who even death could not conquer,
And because he raged,
I rage,
We rage,
And when our salt has savored an age,
The world will know beauty.
Many Falling
I look to the left
Then I look to the right
And its hard to distinguish
Weather its day or night
In this dark world I search for light
To guide giving sight
I see kids faces full of fright
As the world begins
To say things that are wrong are right
Through the view of the world
I see many falling
But you never give up
As you are always calling
Walking by each and every side
Saying my child listen while I guide
Come to me for comfort in these times
I know your every need
Let me live through you
As we work together to plant seeds
Sprouting a new harvest feeding with your word to grow
As your love withing begins to show
Lord I see many signs taking place
As you said would happen in the race
As we come to you for comfort and embrace
Now this light begins to shine
Giving light to see the way
And when we unite can say Father this child is mine
As I pray to grow near, not astray
Many times its easy to judge others behavior
But seems we should strive to reflect our savior
A rainbow after a storm can never be beat
The feeling of the beach sand beneath your tired feet
When someone says they love you and your overcome and can’t keep compose
When your walking down the street and you stop to smell the rose
You can have wealth and power but you still will never see
That the best things in the world still come to us free
The heat of a fire to keep you from the cold
The sensation of laughter that will keep you from being old
Watching everything bloom on a beautiful spring day
Listening to a friends problems and hearing them say I’m ok
You can have wealth and power but you still will never see
That the best things in the world still come to us free
Seeing someone for the first time that has been desperately missed
That inner tingling excitement right after you’ve just been kissed
Doing charity work for free for a cause that needs giving
This is what life is all about and makes it worth living
You can have wealth and power but you still will never see
That the best things in the world still come to us free
The silence of someone special broken by their heartbeat
Overcoming the odds and laughing at defeat
The changing tide of the ocean the endless sky of blue
But my favorite thing of all is just being with you
You can have wealth and power but you still will never see
That the best things in the world still come to us free
Before you the white and empty page
It yearns for the message only you can give
Listen to it's call
'Write upon me'
Take this chance
Whilst the eyes of the world gaze upon you
The mind devouring, pulsating thoughts
Poet, write your message
Stain this pure papyrus page
Leave your signature upon it's grain
Again, the call resounds within your head
'Write upon me'
You can not resist
For this is your nature
The curse of the poet
A hand of inspiration
You are one of the chosen few
Write of blood and tears
Write poet
Write before it's too late
The words fade
And the message escapes
For we all know too well
It comes, it calls, but it won't wait
How many times have you lost your words?
You heard, you knew, but it never returned
You learned, you listened, you remembered
Until before you sits the written page
Containing the message only you can give
Whilst other's hear the call
'Write upon me'
Whilst the eyes of the world await to see
Poet, will you speak
Will you answer?
For this is thy call
In this unrehearsed relay
This race against time
Poet, hold out your hand
For I offer the baton to you
