If I Held a Candle

If I held a candle while the cold and dark wind blew
To light the way along for someone I barely knew
If I held a wise mans hands and listened very still
To know the things he knows. The things I never will
If I held a baby and rocked it through the night
To feel a piece of heaven while I held that child so tight
If I held them until they took that final breath
To comfort and try to ease the dawning of their death
If I held the lips that kissed the hands of fate
To feel the pain and burden of all who passed the gate
If I held the answers to make some rhyme or reason
To meet the very one who makes it another season
If I held a plow to plant upon the hardened earth a seed
To grow tall. Bloom. And millions would it feed
If I held a ladle filled with water from deep within the well
To quench the thirst of all who come to sit for a spell
If I held a prayer an tried to always keep the faith
To show acceptance and like all the others wait
If I held a heart within my grasp just so
To offer up my all only to see it go
If I held and touched a place deep down there inside
To once again take the culprit on yet another ride
If I held on hard and flew into the night
To keep holding on with all my strength and might
If I held up to the light all of my mistakes
To realize how many and they were mine to make
If I held an ear to listen to all the people talk
To watch one by one as out the door they walk
If I held and read all the books of the world
To learn so much for that little tiny pearl
If I held a brush to paint such a pretty picture for the eye
To please all the onlookers as thy aimlessly pass by
If I held a pen to write a thousand words for all to see and hear
To keep my soul grounded as it soars through the air
If I held my breath as I'm laid to rest on the mounded heap
To own all I've sown and what harvest there is to reap
If I held a loom to weave a million dreams come true
To awaken watching angels traversing the sky so blue
If I held the wisdom to know Gods plan for me
To know he sees all my faults and then still grant me peace
Amen

A Light For All

A man came into church one day
Not sure what he would find,
Lately he had questions that
Were troubling his mind.

Many shook his hand and said,
"Welcome, please come in."
The music played and people sang
And something stirred within.

The Pastor spoke of love and grace
Provided by God's Son,
And there's a battle being fought
But Christ already won.

The man was moved, deep inside
As he left church that day,
Thinking maybe very soon
He would kneel and pray.

A few days later he had stopped
To grab a bite to eat,
He saw a couple from the church
He had chanced to meet.

He sat near enough to hear
The things they had to say,
About the stranger at the church
Just the other day.

They talked about his hair uncombed,
His ragged clothes and shoes,
They talked about his missing teeth,
No doubt from too much booze.

The man remembered many times,
When he thought he could see,
Every reason why some men
Are not like they should be.

Several days had passed before
The Pastor came to call,
He told the man that God's great Gift
Was free to one and all.

The Spirit touched a tender heart,
burdened down with care.
Soon the man was whispering
a simple sinner's prayer.

The man came walking down the aisle,
that next Sunday morn;
Happy now to tell the world,
That he had been reborn.

He thanked God for abundant Love,
He told how he'd been blessed;
But none was quite prepared to hear,
What the man said next.

He said the world is lost in sin,
dying to find a way,
And Christians have the only Light,
To turn the night to day.

See how bright that Christian Light,
Shines inside this place;
But out there it's extinguished,
Vanished without a trace.

Remember then how dark it was,
Before you knew the truth;
Until the day that some dear soul,
Shared the Light with you.

Let's not look at outward things
Like hair or teeth or shoes,
Let's shine the Light for all men
And tell them God's Good News.

Sold To My Soul

The solemn mood is right now out here
and the yellow hallowed moon burns bright
to write my mind vomit spilling out.
By starlight the dazzling night is cold,
sold silently to my waking soul
as I find this conversation on the other side.
Arid leaves have fallen to the ground below,
up on my roof, again I’m slow to melt away
like light summer raindrops quenching gently,
fears trapped in tears wash away what’s in me.
Burnished beams of light from inside
out and away into the dormant night
you take flight and expand the heavens.
My thoughts carried rapidly through my mind
as I am lost in some kind of enchanted tale
I find the words I inhale on this page,
a center stage, my own master puzzle
guzzling, flowing forth as my pen takes shape
I escape, unraveling line by line,
splattered out across a surreal time
as though a new painting still against a wall
I fall…
drawn deep into my perplexing dreams
as this night’s realm captures me.
I gaze up into the stars above,
think about love as life breathes away from enemies
I feel you touch the scars that have cut me.
Time travels through my eyes
as the skies mirror what earth beholds
I am sold…
silently to my waking soul.
I am whole if just for this moment in time…
in this I find my own divine.
Beyond the fine line that separates a world of hate
I stand knocking at the gate of grace,
heart, body and mind open to the space in dreams told
I am sold…silently to my waking soul

Taller That Humanity But Smaller Than the Gods

For whosoever feels lonely here is my hand
I guided up the sun, so you could see better

For whosoever fears doubt
I talked about myself failing you

Though you never saw it
You just noticed me

Standing like a statue
Right behind you all along

Hoping that you won't look back
For even I might start to reconsider

How tough I posed in your defence
How unstable my heart spake all along

But glancing is your eyes, daunted with tears
Let me blow a wind to dry

I bled just like you mayber brighter
For our color is the same

But the wounds were inflicted
By different momentum

So I am a shield
But not from a storm

Even God told me,
We all had our seasons to mourn

But I am of a barrier
of not leaving you behind

For even in our seasons
Do our crops seek nourishment

I know your dry
So I became moist

I know your soaked
So here is my warmth

I seen you smile
By my giving joke

I heard you anger
By my wrath

I see you sleep
Of a lullaby

I am your light
When your soul is tainted with darkness

I am your darkness
When the light causes you to blind

I will be your opposite
When the same reeks of ordinary

Just a little spice I have created
For our feast of many treats

In this season let us all rise
And be our own balance of our life

Keep Your Light Shining Bright

The Light House.. Shines on
Light keeps shining..
through the darkness
Of the midnight air...
Light glowing ever-so-bright
For the ships to come in on the wings of a tide
While awaiting-
keeping the bright light a-glow
As through the mist of the ocean spray
Along the side of the sea coming in the waves
Awaiting for our ship- to turn in
The Captain.. of the ship Returns
From Sea... to Shining Sea

Our Father of Lights..
Forever Shines on
Divine Light Shine with-in..
Cast out darkness
Spirit with-in..
Forever Shines on-Once your Born-again
Witnessing for others
to come on wings of Angels
A-waiting for Christ..
Keep Light of Faith a-glow
Through life's troubles..
rays of days
Jesus by our side..
coming soon end of days

A-waiting for life here on earth
comes to an end
Jesus Christ Returns..
Rapture takes place
From Earth...
unto God's Grace
Eternity

Come to Jesus Christ
Those whomsoever is already Born-again
Come Shine Your Light..
Bring other's to Christ
For Time is Now at hand..
All God's Children need to make a stand
Come.. Save Soul's across the Land

Keep Your Light Shining Bright
Don't let it go out..
Nor hide it.. or Doubt
Forever Shineth Jesus Everlasting Light

God's Beautiful Stars--Shines Everlasting Light

My Mama, would tell me,
There is a saying,
for each Stars in the Sky
Represents each Person on Earth
That Whosoever becomes Born-again
A Believer,
Redeemed From sin
Then a New Star would appear
In outer space,
It's given by God's Grace

But when You see a Falling Star
That comes in the atmosphere
That Falls to the Earth
I was always told
That's when a Believer has gotten old
Has died, and went to be by Our Father's Side

When You see Stars, that Shooting across the Sky
Then You'll know it was an Angel passing by
To Help some one in Need,
Using God's Speed

Some say, Stars Light up the Heavenly Place
Where God Was, Is and Always will be
Until the Day Our Lord,
Calls for You and Me
To Go to be with Him,
In Eternity

God made the Stars
Shining Everlasting Light
Forever so Bright
Giving Out of His Divine Love
        Glorious Light...

God made Us
To Shine Everlasting Light
God Glorious Word of Truth
Giving Out of His Divine Love
Eternal Life ~ Born-again..
       Glorious Eternal Life..

Come Speak--Spread God's Daily Bread
So other's Shall come to know.. Our Savior
As Jesus Said.. "You Must Be Born-again"

Come to Jesus Christ
Become Born-again.. "Eternal Life"

Perturbations of Nuances

I avoid the light that invades the space of the windows
because it perturbs the nuances of my thoughts:those
frigid sepulchral memories of yesteryears' love lying
uniformly beyond a damp partition of consciousness, trying
to escape as a means of a venerable excuse for me to
decimate this flesh and soul which gives residence to
those effulgent ponders that waver restlessly and tangent
upon the structure of the optimists' creed that was bent
from capricious minds and hypomanic-states to which nothing
states of the verities of the now abysmal dolor which rings
through my heart with incessant intonation of a melody
that schlepps through my senses in remoteness of euphony
which springs forth from mouths of angels vocalizing of their
freedom. And within those octaves I hearken of the loss
of my freedom which I once embraced in the solitude
that abraded piquancy of vibrant day, having worn it away
to evince the cold moments of paltry existence when those
unawakened fleeting thoughts(which are semblable to windows
of graves)allow no memory of yesteryears' love bereft
to evade, and no glint of light to invade the eyes of death.

Driving Down the Road of Life--

As I was driving down each street
a friend whom was with me
said.. have you ever thought of street lights
how they seem to have the same colors
Just like as.. for christmas time
Red-- Green-- Yellow
Then I saw a Red light
Which Then became green
but then I saw ahead twas yellow one
as I looked in my rear-veiw mirror
there was many White head lights
that seemed rushing
Light was behind me
In then I seen in my side view mirrors
Many-More White head-lights

This is what came to my mind
As you drive down the road of Life
There is like a Red light..
Which represents the blood of Christ
then when you become born again
Green light which represents the Holy Spirit
Comes to live within..
Yellow light represents.. like Heaven shall be
paved in Yellow type Golden Streets
The White head lights that I seen
Reminded me of all the many Souls..
That are behind and beside me..
As we all go.. through this road of life
Till we Reach Heaven...

Strange tis be
but Beautiful.. ways to see..

For every Soul..
Whomsoever comes to Jesus
Born-again receives Eternal Life

Premium Member Beacons of Light

As long as man has lived upon this Earth
The quest for beacons of light has endured
Primitive cultures, man’s earliest ancestors
Found wonder in the moon’s allure

Upon the seas, more advanced civilizations
Made their way guided by celestial orbs
Eventually creating historic lighthouses
     To guide their navigational course

Greeks found solace in a light
     Emanating from Mount Olympus
Gods and Goddesses they worshiped
Until the discovery of those truly blessed

God’s light serves as our beacon now
Eternal glow that guides us through storms
And when we discover this light’s power
The spirit of the believer transforms

Satan’s path winds only through darkness
     Images of eternal suffering emerge
When we fail to find the beacon of light
And remove the stain of sinful scourge

It is man’s choice to pursue radiance or darkness
The preferred path is usually lit by the bright
For just as early man perceived from the moon
Souls are ever drawn to beacons of light

The Light

The light shines on the darkest days
Freeing a soul
Opening up ur mind
Bringing hope
Bringing love
The smallest light
Can save a life

The light shines on the darkest days
When your alone
When there no one else
That light shines through

What happens when its the darkest day
And theres no light
Its just dark

There is no happy ending
Just reality...just life

And your alone and crying
Theres nothing anyone can do

The darkest days have come and have gone

But it doesnt make the tears the screams and the lives lost ok
The light shines on the darkest days

But there still alone
Still crying
The light doesnt save everyone
The light doesnt always shine bright enough

So when that light, is not enough to see us through
Lets hold hands and pray
Lets hold hands and pray
LET HOLD HANDS.... AND DO SOMETHING

So when there alone
There scared
And there is no one else

We join together and bring the light to them
Lets answer our own prayers

On the darkest days the light shines through
But what if it doesnt
What then?
 ......Will u do something
