See deer and frogs
Around forests and ponds
Butterflies dance, bees get honey

From God, summer, winter

are
ENTIRELY FREE
TO BE
POETIC
TRISTIC-HALLY
HAIKU is a centuries old Japanese traditional phonetical & cultural poetic form
whereas
HIKU is a relatively recently reference to the 75year old established haiku in English. Hiku being an imagist tristich like its elder cousin,without a title,and with a similar economy of words ,inherently enigmatic & with a caesura or an ellipsis and surprise ending. A similar sense of pause the aesthetic insight flowing from perception gained from 'one breath length ' composition that flowed from the Japanesese 17 onji sound inherent in the Japaneses haiku. Without any syllabic( 5-7-5 ) line restrictions, the hiku is the 'free verse' version of the haiku in English. similar but different ,a present tense poetic in another language - hiku is the written or recited equivalent to arts 'gestural spontaneous happening' .
A verse freed from strict syllabic constraint within its triplicity of format& is inherently enigmatic & often with a caesura and surprise ending( VERSUM )to give a 'turning' to the line.
The hiku maybe a horizontal single* line,(often broken line at the caesura),a vertical line(usually a painting(haiga) ,a couplet** or a tristich* with shape-like variations.

Imagists use clear, simple language to paint a picture. Imagery, on the other hand, is use of flowery and descriptive language, and often figurative language, to create an image in the reader’s mind. An imagist would keep things simple, and not use imagery other than specific sensory details.
Wordless lines,indelible impressions with imagination set free to flower in the mind’s eye.Images rather than words remain,colour & space released,set apart,the extra from the ordinary,a moment seen and then heard.

a long life was not to be.
In syllable,two,four,six eight&two
her cinquain made imagism anew
To the heart of the matter

by gusty amazements
a richness and complexity
fine and delicate
the beauty of verse
speech by ‘ear’
&reason tested
not in arrogance
but humility
& subtlety of form
Questions
alluring in novelty
foreshadowed
by conscious perception
Far and leisured
discerned by a prosody
of rhythm

ENDWORD
What intimacy is its cause,perhaps
an immaculate conception of words;
too swift to comprehend,see or
recognise.The moment is there
and then is not.Gone with the wind
the seed of idea remains, to
germinate and gestate,fanned by a
mental fragrance of elation.Slowly
self-transcending a word into a phrase,
a sentence to a strophe;a rhyme
rides a waterfall of cadence,
into a chasm of verse. Terse or
long, the sonnet becomes a little song,
struggles to arrive.Thrust forth upon
my page;a bastard-born of pain
MY POETIC BIO
Alliteration,the starting place, alongside
cinquains,apace in time,crystalline
lanterne and rhyme.Inspiration drew forth
footle,broken monoku &emagi for a while short
imagist was my style.Sequenced longer
poems metamorphose within this crysallis
changing into ekphrasis.Open,and free to be,
as you see,structured prose poetry.With
cadence and pause,others hear my voice

this is a form based on John Banister Tabb,(the Virginia born )poet's The Evolution
I have labelled this imagist form 'a tabb' in his honour.
