This morning is great
The airs refreshing and cool
Autumn's almost here
Feeling of newness
There's some lightness around now
And the birds still roam
New days just starting
There's so much to do today
So many new plans
Thank God for today
Think of friends and family
For them send prayers
Wish them all the best
Everyone's in my heart thoughts
God bless them and you
Prayers go to God
I am so thankful for each day
That He's given me
Day belongs to Him
Created all that is good
My God is awesome
Greatest painter
Masterful brushworks He paints
Everyday all time
Summer soon to go
Hot days no more and pretty
Fall will settle down
Many things to plan
Some great holidays will come soon
And I'll celebrate.

Sonnets After
Midnight #1 (Far
Destined Winds)
Far destined winds, port a love song for me.
Send silent heart-thoughts of hope in the air,
To her left standing far across the sea--
Gazing from a tower to see me from there.
Oh wind have a breeze her soft brow caresse;
Send flowing waves to whisper in her ear
My unheard music of love's tenderness
I would sing to her if I cold be near.
Winds for me stroke with gossamer fingertips
Her ebony long tresses whose soft touch I miss.
And for me touch her purest trembling lips
Never once profaned by my unworthy kiss.
Messenger unseen, to her in her land,
Go where I may not stretch forth my own hand.

Your pupils are like the sun
When peeping at prime of the day-
Liveliness it strikes in turn,
As her gaze touches the summer's day.
Your smiles are like honey,
But not like honey:
Sweetening a battered heart.
Yet, it's your cheapest art.
Your voice is the communion
Of the waves and the sea,
Apt communication,
Driving attention in crazed velocity.
Your steps are like the gazelle's,
A point in time: another the next.
Comportment of aligned structures:
The most contentious infrastructure.
Extended intellectualism in sensitive fares,
Amandla the burning heart, thoughts trailing tears.

I sit at the table looking out the kitchen window
drinking the autumn warm golden shades
of red, brown, and orange leaves descending and walking through my yard.
My mind swims with thoughts of seventy autumns,
yearning to purge into words that storm within me.
This old encrusted frame kidnapped the child I once was,
in tears this heart thoughts flow reflecting on the past.
Unconsciously holding my breath,
my wizened hands shake slightly while I write.
Like the ocean at the mercy of the wind
sweeping away by the demands of everyday life,
I write pages and pages of weeping words.
Waves rush in and around, losing myself
in a wakeful dream as I hear the distant chants.
Love and be loved
a rhythm of my soul too still the storm within me.
With hope of once more, to be young in the embrace of my love,
for now I open the door of my heart and let him continue his journey.

Heartfelt are my thanks for all the blessings
ever flowing in, out and through my life.
I feel fortunate for each go-round with strife
that arrived to design my soul’s truth dressings.
My humbled breath streams awe when I feel His touch
upon my grateful soul, heart, thoughts and actions.
With love, He guides my steps to divine traction
and lifts fear-based, stinking thinking from my clutch.
I am delighted when harmony fills my home
where family memories grow, glow and unfold.
My simple life prospers me more than bars of gold.
My soul greets days with heart-praise wherever I roam.
My heart is open my mind is free
I think I have a date with my destiny
Where is he? ..... My mystery man
Conversations are mostly mentally
I am out searching for that mystery man
Because he has my heart in LaLa Land
There is a really deep connection
Mounds of chemistry
Strange Kinetic energies
Outer body experiences
Searching in the dark
Trails of so much happiness
Sparks
A flame burning inside my heart
How did this happen
I don't know where to start
Floating high on a cloud
Just thinking aloud
He has crowded my heart thoughts
Just sitting here wondering.
Will I ever meet my mystery man
