Pouring down the pane, singing
It’s the praise of soft rain
Gentle, like a sweet kiss falling
On whispering, hopeful lips

Gracious and gifted with faith
Painting the countryside in hues
Of misty gray music, forgiving
Thriving on the nourishment
It drenches with life, a pure diet
On black earth and vibrant petals
Caressing, like laughter
Dancing on the hope of a hereafter
When tears so timidly mingled
With showers of simplicity
Feelings of mystery, sensitive
To the breath of God sending us
Remedies to our worries, our doubts
Captured on the drops of belief
Sprinkling compassion through
Dreams and promises of a moment
When His love will pour out
A blessing more wholesome than
Any downpour from the heavens

Premium Member My God, Thank You For Ministering Unto Me

September 16 Scripture Meditations Based on Matthew 19-20

Key Verses– Matthew 20:28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR MINISTERING UNTO ME

Thank You for ministering unto me with Your divine healing
By Your salvation toward my soul redemption’s sealing
Indeed making me whole from sin-afflictive spoiling
For spiritual endeavour of gracious dealing.

Thank You for ministering unto me with Your tender mercy
By Your correction against my laxity and complacency
Indeed disciplining me from indolence-persistency
For fruitful service of diligent fervency.

Thank You for ministering unto me with Your ready assistance
By Your help despite my soul stubbornness and resistance
Indeed reaching out to me from transgression-distance
For sweet relationship of committed stance.

Thank You for ministering unto me with Your gentle compassion
By Your love midst my apathy and transgression
Indeed forgiving me from complaint-reaction
For joyful worship of grateful satisfaction.

Thank You for ministering unto me with Your good kindness
By Your righteousness over my arrogance and selfishness
Indeed perfecting me iniquity-barrenness
For Christ-like character of virtuous blessedness.

Thank You for ministering unto me with Your cheerful care
By Your gladness along my need and welfare
Indeed brightening me gloominess-scare
For blissful disposition of mirth-filled share.

Thank You for ministering unto me with Your great comfort
By Your faithfulness beyond my grief and retort
Indeed encouraging me from frustration-resort
For revival-flamed commitment of praise-worthy report.

God has revealed Himself to be
the Lord of glory, gracious and great
for He created His very heavens
where all His own will come for their date

A date chosen before eternity
when His faithful ones He will draw
the earth God has formed from not
establishing it makes one stand in awe

God's purpose for this earth He made
was not to leave it full of nothing
this is God who reigns from all eternity
for the Lord's plans always has meaning

His plans and purposes are without error
for in it's formation He left man a space
all along God's design included humanity
knew they would need a touch by grace

I am the Lord and there is no other
standing high above all His creation
sovereign in control never to fall
one day will make up His own nation

('For thus says the Lord,
who created the heavens
    (he is God!),
who formed the earth and made it
    (he established it;
he did not create it empty,
he formed it to be inhabited!):
“I am the Lord, and there is no other.')

Premium Member Nativity

They had to leave their Nazareth home
at the decree of the emperor of Rome,
Joseph and pregnant Mary travelled to Bethlehem
where nobody they found to take care of them.

They were visited by an angel, Gabriel
who predicted and was gracious to tell,
Mary would soon give birth to a son,
the Son of God, by divine intervention.

Travelling tired to the new town all the way
and failing to find a place to stay,
they took refuge in a stable empty
where Jesus was born to save the humanity.

That was when a brilliant star rose high
above the stable in the splendorous sky,
attracted three wise men from the east
who from Herod saved our savior, Christ.

The nativity dawned a heavenly day to rejoice
and to seek the Lord’s grace in devout voice,
pay faithful homage to the God’s son,
for He would save us from the sins done.

Premium Member I Thank Him For 2015

As I woke each morning, in this past year,
I offered prayerful thanks to my Father above
for protection in a world full of dread and fear.
I owe my life and all I have to my God of love.

I'm beholding for so much more than I can ever say,
from burdens this year, He eased my sorrow and pain.
Goodbye 2015. Hello to the new year on the way.
In God's good graces, I pray I shall ere remain.

I give thanks for nourishment through spiritual food,
for good health, family, my new friends and the old.
I'm indebted for my pen and the poems that ensued,
and for friendly poets who never let my soup get cold.

My gratitude runs deep for forgiving my sins of the past
and for giving me ample courage when I need to stand.
The year now ending has been no worse then the last,
Thank You, God, for holding on to my outstretched hand.

I'm so grateful to You God for being my friend and my shield,
seeing some good in me instead of seeing a weed in the field.
Another year of honoring Your name is now drawing to its end,
Gracious Father, I humbly thank You for the blessings You send.

Tenacious
 against billows...
love*
as hope's Gibraltar
triumphs
steadfastly braced
through faith in Christ
toward gracious sharing.

Serenely
standing
midst sinking sand...
truth
never collapses
while anchored upon
love of God
overcoming selfishness.*

Left With Karma

I want to be in your arms of comfort
I want to be on your gracious bed with little effort
I want to be with you forever and ever
I want to be with you, for that's my endeavor

Ahhh...hmm...oooh...

Please don't leave me in the dust of your farewells
I dwell in the midst of the abyss and your mysterious wells
Please don't leave me...
Please don't leave me...
Don't call out my name in the middle of the night
Fight the good fight and you'll take divine flight tonight
Please don't leave me...
Please don't leave me...

I want to be in your blanket of benevolence
I want to be marinated in your mesmerizing elegance
I want to be with you and shine anew
I want to be with you with or without a clue

Please don't leave me in the dust of your farewells
I dwell in the midst of the abyss and your mysterious wells
Please don't leave me...
Please don't leave me...
Don't call out my name in the middle of the night
Fight the good fight and you'll take divine flight tonight
Please don't leave me...
Please don't leave me...

I want to be in your wings of flight
I want to be the beacon of the night
I want to fly with my might
With you in my arms tonight
I want, but I don't have much to give
Come on and just let go and let live
I want to be saturated in my sorrow and happiness
There is a sweet and somber tomorrow nevertheless

Please don't leave me in the dust of your farewells
I dwell in the midst of the abyss and your mysterious wells
Please don't leave me...
Please don't leave me...
Don't call out my name in the middle of the night
Fight the good fight and you'll take divine flight tonight
Please don't leave me...
Please don't leave me...
Leave me behind and you'll soon find
That life will treat you so unkind
Leave me behind and you'll figure out
That karma will bite back no doubt

In the Madness

In the madness of
My lustiness
The pinnacle-like heights of
My ocean-like cravings
Falling like a waterfall
Never ceasing at all;
Night or day,
In my thoughts and dreams
I write,
To none else than
The one whose worth
Far surpasses all things;
Precious and gracious
Whose name is beautiful
Who's bright and wonderful
My pride, my love
I can't write of you enough
Your voice is angel-like
You're altogether angel-like
An heavenly being, an angel you are
You're not pretty, you're beyond it by far
A fair goddess
The fairest, I'm sure
My joy, my love, my happiness and my pleasure.
You demand from me only heart
A sacrifice that I without prejudice offer
My only anger, my only pain
Is that I have not more than one to offer
And if you demand anything else
I'm here waiting, you should only ask
If it is in all places, the sun
I'll be the first or the only one
To ever from it, return alive
'Cause you my dear, are my life
To you this verse I humbly write
To express a bit of what's in my heart
Candle-like it is, a burning fire
Yet endless for you'll always be in my heart.
What has a beginning must have an end
That includes this piece of mine
So let me to this end
Thank heaven I'm yours and you are mine.
