The Closing Gate

He knew what he had to do and his whole family was on board
He had to gather an entire zoo in so abiding with God's accord
Such a large boat would it be in having many sons as his hands
And then those who don't agree standing on such feeble sands

It took over one hundred years as Noah lived to a ripe old age
Our life expectancy nowhere nears but it is there on the page
So many also felt as you do and they too didn't want to believe
I say to you that it is true, the Lord God did not come to deceive

And once the job was finally complete that door still was not shut
And as they walked by his great feat they all said, "Boy what a nut!"
For rain never fell from the sky but a misting and many a spring
As I said, I do not lie, you just need to read more about this thing

Then finally the Lord said, "Shut the gate", but it still didn't rain
But God had sealed everyone's' fate as now time began to wane
And then the first drop or two as they taunted Noah even more
Now no longer just a light dew as it opened up and began to pour

They soon scattered like fleas as some tried to get on the boat
Noah could not answer their pleas for that is not what God wrote
Don't let that gate shut upon you as to when His Judgment is made
But this whole scenario will be true, it's up to you in what you wade

 Genesis 7:1
In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

The voice of my ancestors

The voice of my ancestors
The genesis of mankind never exclude my forefathers
Cos they were the beginning from the beginning
So i am never alone in this cold world
The connection between me and my ancestors
Are deeper than words
It is till infinity
The Bond never ends
My ancestral possessions are eternal within my circle
So I give all praises to my forefathers
I give Gratitude to my mother's descendants
Thanks to those who paved the ways leading
To my existence today
I appreciate the powers before me
I adore the vibes and frequencies of my ancestors
before my time now
I carry the same frequency like my forefathers
Who would have been my shield and protector
If not my forefathers
On whose land would have been my soil
If not for that of my ancestors foot print
On whose knowledge and wisdom
Should I abide by
On whose culture and traditions
Should I live with
On whose teaching should I maintain my dignity
If not for that of my forefathers
With whose education should I grow with
So I need no permission to give thanks
to the higher ones
The spirituality before my existence
The supreme before the strangers and hunters
The wars before my battles
The creators before my time
The ones who never leave me alone till date
I am the existing sample of the
Past present and the future of an Igbo man alive
Yes truly now
i am the living ancestors of my kind
So take a close look or listen attentively
Is clear to the blind
And obvious to the deaf that I am
The voice of my ancestors

Key Verse – Genesis 28:3 And God Almighty bless thee, and make thee fruitful, and multiply thee…

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR MAKING ME FRUITFUL

Thank You for making me fruitful in Your goodness
Indeed blessing me by Your multiplying graciousness
And granting me inheritance of eternal preciousness
That speaks of Your pleasantness.

Indeed proving me to obey You with delighted fervour
And inspiring me with Your truth’s light in my heavenly endeavour
That radiates through Your glorious savour.

Thank You for making me fruitful in Your service-pillar
Indeed making me fulfill my vow to minister with my labourer’s collar
And helping me work as Your steward beyond salary of priceless dollar
That earns grand rewards exceeding celestial gems, eternally stellar.

Thank You for making me fruitful in Your fulfillment
Indeed bringing me to Your feast of kindness-endearment
And cherishing me with Your caring enrichment
That asserts Your love, devoid of selfishness-defilement.

Thank You for making me fruitful in Your satisfaction
Indeed guarding me from envy-propped destruction
And protecting me with Your preserving sanctification
That declares Your assured salvation.

Thank You for making me fruitful in Your strengthening
Indeed setting me toward faith-increasing and patience-lengthening
And letting me learn by experience that You answer my need’s pining
That reinforces Your compassion midst my sinning.

In the Beginning

In the beginning

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
This is probably the most widely read, yet misunderstood sentence in
literature today. These are the opening words found in the Bible, in Genesis 1:1
So what does it mean? Exactly what it says, the heavens (that is the universe) and the earth were created, in the beginning, by God

There is an ongoing struggle between scientists and creationists, they are both locked into intractable arguments, that don't seem to be able to co-exist, and for good reason.

Creationists propose that the earth and heaven were created in six literal days.
Science disputes that for obvious reasons. However, have all of the options been heard and discussed?

Science has empirical evidence that the universe is 13.72 billion years old.
So then...that was the beginning of creation. So Genesis 1:1 is in agreement with establish scientific proof of the age of the universe.

So the next logical question is...was it a big bang from a random non-directed source or was it the beginning of creation from a intelligent designer?

I will discuss that topic in a future piece!

Leave your thoughts on this subject, if you wish!

Premium Member Dream a Little Dream

Joseph dreamed he would be
A leader, a superior, a head,
The one who his brothers bowed
To, humbled by the fate that was his,
The destiny, vibrant in hues of blessings,
Rich with insight into the everlasting
Peace and promise, the yearnings
Brought into his young heart by the
Heavenly Father, who he worshipped

Joseph was a dreamer and a believer
He sought the One who heals us,
The One who fulfills us and inspires us
To listen to His wisdom, His inklings
The wonders of His kingdom,
His ability to feed us with the bread of life,
Quench our thirst with the living water,
Brighten our thoughts with His goodness,
Pour out joy through our moments,
Send down hope into our darkness

Joseph was never more blessed
Than when He was walking the road
Toward fulfilling his destiny,
His purpose for living and giving
Back to the One who made him, the One
Who gave Him a love beyond jubilant,
A love that was true and beautiful,
A love that never questioned the reason
For the spirit’s gift – his dream –

Fulfilled, his purpose – succeeded,
His light shimmering through the night,
Brilliant as the stars and glowing
Like the moon who had always known
He would someday see the glory,
The joy – in all his dreams come true,
The realization of his calling –
Bringing life to those who need his charms,
His wisdom and truth, the miracle
Brought to him by the God of the universe

Joseph was a dreamer and a believer
Who would one day know the peace
That comes from never giving in to grief
Never letting doubt discourage hope
And always knowing that, with God…
Anything – absolutely anything –
Is possible!
 – so keep dreaming and
Believing – time will see your dreams
Changed into the reality that is your blessing
From the God who gave each heart
The hope, the faith – to simply believe!

Genesis 37:5 KJV - And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.

Key Verse – Genesis 31:3 And the LORD said unto Jacob, … I will be with thee.

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR ASSURING ME THAT YOU WILL BE WITH ME

Thank You for Your “I will be with thee” assurance
Lifting me up with Your power’s deliverance

Premium Member A Year In My Life

Twelve months within one’s life
may not amount to all that much
but in the course of all your years
these year’s moments may really touch

Set out to read old testament every day
from Genesis to Malachi throughout the year
some high and low points along the way
but grateful to God for His word so clear

The pleasures of the great outdoors
travel around the Scottish countryside
gaze on the great work of creation
such privilege to view nature’s bride

Opportunity to read many fine books
Carnegie, Churchill, Tozer to name a few
inspires the heights lifts one’s heart
with soothing classics sounds on cue

Celebrate silver anniversary the highlight
of the year my true love so fair
fills one with thankfulness a plenty
for God’s grace, faithfulness and constant care
