What makes Flex so significant?
What surrounds Flex?
How did a man get the name FLEX
He wasn’t picked on nor was he perplexed
It was his fascination for the Hercules movies and admiration from inspiration in the muscle magazines
His dreams to one day have muscles like the guys in those booklets
As a youngster into reading muscle books, Flex would study all the training principles along with the detail surrounding nutrition
Since protein was the key factor for muscles
Training Flex journeyed by joining a gym and a Personal Trainer show the ropes to muscle gaining
Physique muscle transformation to form and expelled in extensions within his clothes
Flex muscles were now superior
Everywhere Flex walked it was amazement, astonishment and deep stares
There were some ah’s
Flex’s muscles were noticeable, and clothes showed the efforts
Women and Man would often ask Flex to flex
Mounts of bicep muscle would rise along with hardness
This shocked many people, but Flex felt honored and appreciated
The hardness of Flex muscle was beyond compare
Onlookers couldn’t believe what they were seeing and feeling
Flex history with his story in sharing
Flex made it a start and achieved
Maybe start your own training routine, but maybe not in the shape of Flex, but your own before into after body transformation
One last flex

Premium Member Don't!

Don’t!

Don’t put your thoughts on paper
Don’t dare to think out loud
Don’t express on social media
Don’t put them up in cloud

Don’t criticize the useless
Don’t voice a point of view
Don’t flex your vocal cord
Don’t think you’re immune

Six burly officers are coming
Because of something you said
They crash the door early morning
And they’ll tear you from your bed

They’ll whisk you down the bridewell
Slam you in a six foot by eight
The CID will make you confess
About all the things that you hate

You can shop lift for a past time
Carry a machete along the road
Threaten cut all white throats
And never do as your told

Keep your gob shut firm and tight
Take the pen and put it down
Don’t tweet early morn or late night
Decent is only for a clown.

Premium Member It's Just a Job

I'm nobody
Just a guy with a job
But I take it seriously ... very
Security clearance, eye scans, palm prints, the whole nine

The big shots? The head honchos and shoulder stars?
They don't even know my name, or care to
But they count on me, you see ...
Depend on me like the sun and NATO rounds

"IT Specialist" is the job description
Can't tell you how many laughs I've squeezed out of THAT one
I'm just a desk schlub - a screen, mouse, and keyboard are my tools
Oh, that little mouse - the holy havoc hell she's raised!

I call her "Suzie", ('cause she's choosy)
She is one sexy beeyatch, let me tell you ... with an attitude
One hexed flex of the index, and she rules the world
Targets vaporized with efficiency and haste

From here-to-Raqqa to Kingdom Come
Problems, paranoias, terrorists, non-essential marks, collateral ... poof!
With just the wag of Suzie's cute little tail
She loves her job ... I mean, she takes real pleasure in it

Me? I take it seriously, but just for the pay
I don't take it home with me
'Cause I'm nobody ...
Just a guy with a job.

Premium Member My New Years Resolution

My New Years resolution is not to make any more New Years resolutions!
I've made 'em in the past but they died on the craggy shoals of the Aleutians!
I'd swear to ease up on the vittles but I caught those scales lyin' to me.
I tried to curb my cussin' by usin' terms like gosh, darn and golly gee!

I resolved to be more courteous to other drivers and not flex my middle digit,
And be more patient with my kids when they wanted to squirm and fidget!
I vowed to take my dentist's advice and floss my choppers each and every day.
I flossed religiously but lost my religion leavin' my teeth prone to decay!

I promised myself that I'd exercise regularly in order to keep fit and trim,
But preferred lollin' in my LazyBoy with a beer sans goin' to the gym!
'Tis obvious when it comes to keepin' resolutions I ain't got much fortitude,
So I reckon I'll take my chances and not lock-in on any inane platitude!

Words swirl
Words curl
Wrapping around my cerebral cortex
Doctor with precise surgical context
Ink spills sterile the page my patient
Every word a pulse my thoughts foundation

Mind turbine spinning I'm wired on syntax
Syllables sprint laps no time to relax
Ideas combust rush through the glass
Concepts clash crash flash overlap
I code in couplets debug emotion
Flow in motion logic ocean
Every notion an explosion in disguise
I'm the reason metaphors oxidize

Venom in the rhythm when I'm penning my division
Inner vision in collision with precision and revision
Riddle every little syllable until the middle brittle
Whittle down a paragraph a parable a pinnacle
Poetry ritual pivoting intervals minimal literal
Cynical clinical miracle lyrical chemical spherical
Chronicle particles articles spark into particles
Logical arsenal marvel in carnival poetic arsenal

Now I'm sprinting on a thought train off chain all brain
Mainframe flame rain cant contain my own name
Echo chamber danger ranger changing lanes
Strange exchanges rearrange poetic remains
Rhymes ricochet through a crowded skull
Frequencies full mind chemical pull
Language bends like a solar flare
I inhale the noise till the words get air

Now the fire cools the letters on drip
The monster sleeps in the ink I grip
Every line a mirror every word a scar
I built this creature from who we are
Thoughts swirl words curl silence next
Peace rewires my cerebral cortex

No Glory Ft Taint

Taint/
There was a time when I felt like wealth
all I needed under my belt,
like why the f*** do I care,
look at this Gucci I wear,
like a movie directed by Luci,
I’ve become less a begger and more choosy,
the center of my own world, and I unfurled,
all the time I spent,
where f*** I went, giving one hundred percent,
on earth between a ferment,
I’m trapped inside, right beside sin,
Divided by greed,
why did I agree,
to envy the clout, about how everyone else
has no brain cells, but their s*** sells,

Rebeltease/
Truth be told I came up from the gutter
(metaphorically speaking)
nah just being cheeky
but never smooth as butta
makes me shutter
I never been sneaky
I worked hard for my respect
and yea I can still flex
I just do it correct see

Taint/
I been hanging with rebel tease,
oh please, oh jeez,
I might just be your next trainee,
like teach me nothing original just a fictional idea
I mean something.
The reality is I’m a wannabe,
this rap game is a fantasy,
 so everyone can chastise
me, so give me the clout,
fishing, hook out my mouth,
swimming, winning.

Rebtease/
At times it sucks to be me
but I can fully agree
with the fact that my respects
distract cause I see those stars in ya eyes
wanna be like me
Yea a trainee now,
a tease in the making ??
 oh wow, please
but the clout
it ain’t cut out to
be what you see the critics
you can never appease geez
Here’s the true story...
ain’t no glory in my story
it’s a predatory
world out here none give
congratulatory telegrams
like you become an animal
watching ya territory
nah see ain’t no glory here!
but if ya want it come get it

Taint/
Laugh at my jokes,
I know it provokes,
to see me get rich,
which b**** gonna diss next,
 I’m dying Hysterically,
because I’m not a ing charity,
remember I’m selfish,
quite devilish, who am I to Cherish,
when everything will perish

Rebeltease/
honestly consciously
times I wish I wasn’t so good
I say that modestly
hope ya wasn’t looking for a comradely
because to be real that straight comedy
but you right all will parish
when it comes ta the light but cherish what you can
find reason to fight don’t sell your soul
just know there’s no guarantees in life

Pain To Gain

Another little poem just to pass away the time,
to make it easier to read I’ll write it all in rhyme.
It matters not just what I say the words just roll along,
and if you sing as reading this it then becomes a song.

So sing or read or whisper, whatever is your choice,
it matters not if mumbled, or in a nice clear voice.
For no one’s going to listen to a senseless load of tripe,
just wrote for sake of writing and to see the words in type.

For writing helps my fingers to flex and bend at will,
and helps my eyes to move about instead of standing still.
It lets my mind find stupid things to put down on the page
and leaves the reader looking for some sense in my message.

But as I said it’s rubbish and that’s all I’m going to write,
just a silly little poem where the rhyme is far too tight.
I feel I’ve earned the right to this, to waste some of my time,
let others tell profound events while I enjoy my rhyme.

For rhyming is my party piece, and boring poetry too,
so I have written this one so your boredom can be true.
In reading to the end of this there’s nothing more you’ll gain
except to waste more of your time and gain a bit more pain.

                                  Morning Pepsi

Drinking a Pepsi to start off the day
make it diet and caffeine free feels okay
That white label Pepsi taste pretty good
drink another just because you could.

                                  Gold Coca Cola

Caffeine and sugar free yes it is diet
taste is indeed golden love to buy it
Drink em guilt free without a buzz
sometimes you want mellow suds.

                                  Old Ford Flex

She got an old Ford Flex it is really big
has up to three rows of seats for all her kids
Long and boxy car reminisce of an old wagon
with road respect for its' size like driving a dragon.

Anymore

Written By: D. Collins 11/2/20

I don't want you anymore. I can't touch you anymore.
You're not my Goddess anymore, and so far from pure.
You are different and dirty, not like I used to know.
The perfect kind of person where I have to let go.

I wish I would have known you weren't about me.
Then, I would have gone and set you totally free.
Everything about you turned out to be wrong.
I no longer want you, just color me gone.

It all happened when you thought you were better than me.
Made me feel like I wasn't a part of your family.
You do you, and have any John you want.
Flex that thing, and find yourself a new haunt.

I play second fiddle to nobody on this earth.
And, never will I ever be dragged through the dirt.
I don't have feelings anymore, nor have trust in you.
I am shutting the door and looking towards something new.

Don'T Get Me Started On Milk

So is it just me or is toast weird
bare with me so
bakers train for years
To produce these
beautiful pillow bouncy castles of air caves
surrounded by mouth crumbling battlements
crusts that disintegrate at a tremble
they learn to knead and squeeze and shape
they have timings calculated
and portioned preparations
each grain of accounted salt well grain
Through clear logos
its ribbed edges
flex
So we take these baskets of art
Take them home
and sinisterly cut them in
coffin oblongs
and place them=wait for it in
machines that will burn them
until like slightly corroded
stone tablets
we have made them crunchy
wait too crunchy
lets slather them in gold drips sun bloomed fat drops

how many times have you had a toastie
which is only toasted on one side maybe
we should call it a Toa lets call it a tie
which toast came first
the bread or the raising of the wine

and why do we always cut it smaller
people you cant live with them
but you can hide within them
and wait for them all to die

now
they say that we clink glasses
because if your enemy has poisoned your drink
any foamy overspill
it will poison them
friends so easily turn to fiends

that softly hue of amber embers
dripping with oil slick sunbeam strokes of summer
bye
going to make some weird toast
