Premium Member Never Again

I plant my feet firm on this ground
And declare with every breath in my body—
Never again.

Never again will I shrink myself
To fit into spaces not built for my expansion.
Never again will I dim my light
To make others comfortable in their darkness.

Listen—
My body remembers every time I said "yes" when I meant "no."
My spirit carries the weight of every boundary I failed to set.
My heart bears the scars of each person I allowed to take
Without ever giving back.

So today I whisper, then speak, then shout:
Never again.

I am learning that self-care isn't selfish.
It's the sacred act of tending to a garden long neglected,
Pulling weeds of doubt planted by those
Who were threatened by my potential bloom.

I am understanding that healing
Isn't always gentle streams and soft landings.
Sometimes it's the thunder clap of "enough!"
Sometimes it's walking away from the table
Where I was always hungry but never fed.

I am remembering that my worth
Was never found in their validation.
It was always here, crawling beneath my skin,
Waiting for me to listen closer.

So I sever ties with places that cage me,
Let corrupt opinions fade out until they no longer phase me
With voices that diminish me,
With people who love the parts of me they've invented
But resent who I truly am.

And when they ask why I've changed,
When they wonder where the version of me went
That always bent to breaking—
I will stand tall in my truth and say:

Because I've made a promise to the child in me
Who deserved protection.
To the dreamer in me who deserved space.
To the lover in me who deserved reciprocity.

Never again will I betray myself
For temporary peace.
Never again will I accept crumbs
When I deserve the feast.
Never again will I apologize
For taking up the space my soul requires.

This is my boundary.
This is my healing.
This is my declaration.

And I speak it into existence with each breath:
Never.
Again.

Premium Member From Whence Doth Evil Come

From whence doth evil come?
It erupts from the twisted bowels of hell
it roams and wanders, recklessly
throughout the landscape of the earth
creating moral chaos and hatred
blinding the eyes of godless men.

It captures cold hearts, hearts of stone
devoid of emotion, unstable minds
delusional and corrupt, lifeless
minds that become a breeding ground
for the schemes of the devil.

Wicked thoughts and dastardly deeds
ruminate and fester and quickly culminate
intent on carrying out an open grave
of disaster and destruction.

Evil looms, then strikes in an instant
a lone young man, creeping slyly into a school
slaying young innocents with his guns
a bloodbath of hatred, poison among the lilies.

Over and over again, too many times!
A crime and a shame, blight of madness!
No more should evil overtake the land
No more should a young life be snuffed out
Let the innocent ones have their tomorrows!

May the people rise up against this evil
this wicked spirit that destroys us
and take charge, demand a change
fight the enemy with petitions and prayer
and return our land to safety and peace again.

The Great Play

Did you see the showman,
His act a lion he outran!
Let me tell you how it all began,
When in youth he lived in a van.

Where the lion hunted,
For food it was confronted.
A sad tale it resulted,
In the feast being plundered.

Do you understand now?
He was the lions crown,
A cub which is how,
He grew up and- ow!

Was there no child here?
Just a starved lion I hear,
But didn't lion disappear?
The story is unclear.

So anyway- the lion died,
And vultures circled its blight,
Ripped a gap so wide,
To eat its inside!

They all became lions in time,
For they ate the spirit sublime,
And became not a mime,
No, no, it was the perfect crime!

Understand now? Its a vulture!
What? "Not in your culture"?
But it smells of sulfur.
I am not being vulgar!

What do you know about lions?
Widen your tiny horizons,
Lions kill and are suppliers,
Vultures the shy ones, they're liars!

You see they made it up!
The savannahs not corrupt,
It's rotten,- dont interrupt!
Put lion, vulture in a cup

Mix it good and well,
And you have a human to sell!
Does showman ring a bell?
Secret ingredient? Not gazelle!

But there is one, you are right,
Its of which they lose sight,
The rattlesnake hiding in the night,
Silent and deadly, about to take a bite!

I'm not lying! Would you though?
Befriend him with pet snake in tow?
No?
Thats why it's kept on the down low.

Now that you know,
Though,
Would you give him the deadly blow?
Or watch the reptile grow?

What do you mean I'm insane?
These questions arent inane,
We're debating a show, so plain,
About a man in pain!

The lion was the van,
The lion he outran,
And starved did the man,
What do you not understand?

I see, I see, you don't get it,
Too many plotholes to fit,
So allow me to permit
A secret I'll admit

The lions the favourite they say,
They want more but it went away,
Wanna know why it didnt stay?
It is I who wrote the play!

Now treat that bite with spray, yea?

Our Shame,

"PRESIDENT" & "LEADERS"

Full grown men,
old,
devoid of vision,
Lacking in wisdom,
wicked weaklings
protected by paltry paid gun men
great grandfathers,
unwilling to train Younger Leaders.
Untrained themselves in morals & reputation,
Liars,
Tired & fickle in frame,
feeble. opaque, lacking imagination,
These exalted clowns,
drawn from rickety defeated military,
All but a weak one from the creek.
Gangsters,
Elevated as Presidents,
or Governors and Leaders,
We are Trapped,
fooled by cynosure of degenerate,
immoral men, destinies robbers,
watching the drowning of a once rich Giant.
confined felon,
demented through age
rogues as Presidents, Senators, Governors,
Protected by corrupt Police
and a demystified compromised Army,
Oppressive DSS, Abusive servants of the masses,
robbing the future of unborn kids,
denying all in the midst of Plenty,
shaming us all.
We have no Leaders Yet.
None since 1960.
Profligate band of men,
overtaken by fraud & moral turpitude,
A merry-go-round by failures,
sixty Plus years after Muzungu,
Illiterates still in charge of our destinies,
Despised in Ghana
scorned in Zambia
Overtaken by Ethiopians
locked out by Botswana
Denied by Rwanda
disgraced in Libya
Mocked in South Africa
Bared in sane countries
where corruption is an indelible blot,
incarcerating the guilty away from sane men.
These crooked Old recycled Failures,
Destroyed, ruined and damaged destroying still.
unwilling to retire in their dishonour,
Killing, abusing and incarcerating Young men who dares tyranny.
A former Giant,
Now a Crawling Giant of Africa,
Beggarly borrowing amidst plenty.
Over two hundred million divided mass,
waiting for “godot” .
procrastinating liberty for fear and docility
A country of Countries Ruined by Military men
masquerading as democrats through tyranny
A Cancer in Africa.

Premium Member Self-Existent Light

The luminous spectrum of the omnipresent light
envelopes my self-obsessed essence unperceived.
I devise the free-will precepts captivating the ego
within the confines of the conjured self-deception.

As I saunter on the slimy slush of cardinal sin,
the stigma of murky derision debases the self,
the soul is stifled by the secret corrupt clutch,
in penance I feel the pernicious pangs of pain.

I escape liberated from the dark abyss of anguish,
traverse through strata of solemn consciousness.
That’s when the door of the inner sanctum opens,
where the lotus blooms suffused with divine glow.

The sensual space within shines with stellar radiance,
and flashes with the flaring brilliance of billion suns.
On my self-searching odyssey at the edge of eternity,
the inner galaxy makes my soul the self-existent light.

The Tithe

The World wants to tax the church
you look at the church
and you see a business
that appears corrupt

Granted a lot of ministers
let people down
follow their own paths of greed
satisfy their own desires

But the money the Church takes
does not belong to the Church
It belongs to God
God said as I understand the bible

He created the world
so, therefore, he expected people
to pay a tithe or ten percent
to him as revenue

I know the bible say's
Give unto Ceasor what is Ceasors
Give unto God what is Gods
But having collected the Tithe

Why should God then have to turn around
and pay Ceasor more money
before given money to the church
every member of the Church has paid tax

Ceasor has already had his share

For using his creation
so the tithe does not belong
to the church
It belongs to God

Should God have to pay tax to man
is God a servant of Man
or Man a servant of God
If the money belongs to God

Why should God pay Tax to you
Granted I think the Church failed
to follow the path that God created
They killed people

When the bible says
Thou shalt not kill
they spent God money
On themselves

when in the parable
of the talents
they were told to invest
look at my poems

as constructive criticism
My idea is to get people investing
ten dollars per week
but then I realized

Gods Idea was to get people
investing the tithe
Granted the Church
Was allowed to collect it

the church was allowed to use
it on themselves
leaders of the synagog
were allowed to eat

the animals brought in
to synagog
but respect the money you take
it is holy money

It is not your money
It is Gods money
and does not belong to you
or the church

Making the Right Decision

Imperfect is this world,
So full of challenges;
It brings hardships, trials,
Temptations and stresses.

Making the correct choices
Is the top thing to do;
Promoting virtuous values
Is not at the bottom too.

Success seems not prestige,
Neither new cars nor fame;
True triumph tells to be
Freed from eternal flame.

Satan and his corrupt cohorts
Stalk the path of the believer;
They often offer enticement,
Luring him far from the Father.

Wage war against the devil,
Though he is determined;
So shrewd as he may be,
Holding your ground to win.

A blessing or a curse,
Second death or salvation;
Choose between good and bad,
Making the right decision.

Premium Member The Hidden Ape Revealed

Under thee lids there sleeps the truth
now I see a climate change occur
Where twisted merchants betray God

Selling false faces denies the sixth promoting killing
along with a few other numbers written on stone
corrupt unholy the governments of countries have become

Stealing has become normal justice lies spill
from snakes without a backbone the whole system has become infested
so many rats eating from our treasuries hounds taking their pounds of flesh

From elderly to the poor they are each branded to turn eyes
around facts where chains have been applied as we all become beggars
and all we ever hear about is misery and war

The Potter

No time to write a sonnet
Tip of my tongue not rehearsed
Might be time spent useless
But that’s ok here’s the verse
In the water you set me free
How can i forget
Sins forgiven once for all
Atonement you had met
You hung dry and nailed up there
That I cannot repay
Unmerited favor on me
What more can i say?
I do not deserve that gift
Gratitude extends beyond
You have bridged the abyss
And grabbed me from despond
I struggle to make you known
To those who need you most
From the suburbs and outside
The city to the beaches coast
Fear of man is a deadly snare
This I know is such
I try to give you my best
But still I lose the touch
Scared that I will not be
Able to finish this race
Started strong and fast
But now can't keep a pace
How can I keep up?
Doubted all my life
And support the kids?
And inspire my wife?
Still believe what I said
I'll follow you for sure
Fallen down to much
Which leaves me insecure
Did not know how hard
To live right and repent
Still trying to figure out
Just why you were sent
Worries and pleasures come
I’m tangled up in thorns
Doubt my salvation took
Was I really “reborn”
Can you heal my disease
A doctor for the soul
As these years pass by
My heart is a dark hole
Deep insecurity
That I cannot shed
Stricken with sensitivity
And stuff inside my head
Slave to what master’s me
I haven’t any to blame
Setbacks trample me
My disgrace and shame
Use a broken tool?
To honor your crown?
A corrupt fool?
One who’s been beat down?
No more running from you
Again same old song
Where can I go?
Back to you where I belong!
Hearing of you I’m terrified
But is also bitter sweet
Need more grace and comfort
Trembling at your feet
How did the ancients do it?
With discouragement and fear
How did they stay faithful?
Knowing that death was near
Sometimes I can’t see at all
Wonder if your close
Sometimes I feel you are gone
When I need you the most
I request that you would walk
With me throughout my day
Please come and fight for me
Hurry don’t delay
I know your voice again declares
“Just follow and obey.”
“Remember that I’m the potter,
And you are just the clay.”
