Volga 4 - 5

Volga – 4

to the homoeopathy phial
standing on the traffic-island
why it appears
within her womb
the number of germinated nights
stolen without a kiss
is too little

is then it true
if all the chanting of Harinam
can’t be withdrawn from the alcohol
the body-odour of the running tamarisk-shrub
will enter into the circuit-house

and that devouring of the parchment
brings to the feelings of the non-veg ant-hills
the let’s-go-cure
gathering in the sauce-island

Volga - 5

coming to this ironed canal-side
every auto-rickshaw
wants to know and let other know
the mystery
behind the rice-rain
from the cirrus

the shame in the eyes of the seal containing signs
supplies the whole-sale dealership
of the civil disobedience movement
to the locality

the role of the hammer also
wakes up early in the morning
to put under its own tongue
an antacid

is it possible that the spits
used in the observatory
be made a little more fast-moving

manuscript of the basement of a well

the biography of the pond-heron will be scripted
even-then the productivity of the merry-go-round
wouldn’t be uttered for a moment
no sir, such has never been expected

in the liquefied banana-blossoms
too many hot breads resulted from the season-change
continues to bat vehemently
and climbs to the peak of heart-throbbing runs

they in a group will go to the
aqua anetha of the mole hill
to organise a folk-song

to understand this
no arbitration of the cactus is required

notwithstanding
it is heard that the thread was pulled
by the violin of the wife of the moon-god
from behind the screen

here in the eye-front
is the basement of the morning-well

on its one page lies the faulty crow-caws
and on another some sun-shines
swinging on the hanger
after some pages in recurring …the chicken-pox … the boot-polish …

within the two covers of the dance-drama
also comes the creepers and herbs
grown around the melting point
of the arm-chair
whose legs are broken

if each pore on the skin of the river-lily
becomes so much known
then in the background of this low land

let us have one game more

Premium Member The Usa Is Not Perfect

The USA is not perfect
  never has been
    never will be

Unlike Russia, which has
  ‘no alcohol problem’
     ‘no civil disobedience’
        ‘no LGBTQ populace’
Not to mention no truth in the
information it disseminates to
suckers around the world...

Yes, indeed, the USA is not perfect
  not with George Washington
    the 1700’s slaveholder (gasp!)
on our currency, not to mention
Susan B. Anthony, who was proudly
            anti-abortion, pro-life – for shame, for shame!

~ Our ignominious past consigns us to eternal penance ~

Unlike Libya, where an ancient slave trade flourishes
to this very day: Muslims enslaving black Christians
which does not fit the media’s narrative
so most people aren't aware of it
and the rest don’t care about it

Unlike Afghanistan, where the repression of the 'Old Taliban'
is now fully in place under the ‘Newer, More Gentle Taliban’

or Syria, whose butcher of a ruler has made refugees of half his
citizenry, gassing thousands of others with chemical weapons…

But yes, indeed, the USA is not perfect
   Never has been
     Never will be

Let us forever grovel in abasement to all the tin-horn dictators of the world
not to mention our home-grown squadrons of regressive radical progressives

Down with Jefferson, Lincoln, Grant, Teddy Roosevelt, Truman and Reagan!
Up with Omer, Tlieb, Pressley, Sanders, AOC, Corey Bush, Schiff, Nadler...
Long live Maduro, Castro, the Mullahs, Xi, bin Salman, Abbas, Gaddafi et al!

Lies are Truths Might Makes Right Facts are Opinions

                                1 9 8 4

People Should Not Fear Their Government.
Governments Should Fear Their People,
..and I for one, am no longer afraid..
*
My Government and all those global bankers internationaly,
should have a very legitimate fear of yours truly,
because I plan to crush your entire empire completely,
into itty bitty pieces ever so tiny.
That's right, all of you are going to be brought down to your knees,
by itty bitty, tiny, puny old me.
I have this idea, an infallible one,
that I never share with anyone.
Before I share this idea with anyone,
I must first get myself a following of at least 1 million.
I for one think that my goal can be reached and won,
and once I have that following of at least one million,
I will share my idea with all of them,
and if a large enough percent of this one million following
agree with my idea and take immediate action,
within a very short time your empire will start crumbling,
and when this one million following persistently take action,,
your entire empire will crash and burn into absolutely nothing.
All of this will be accomplished without a single shred of violence,
no blood shed, no protests, no civil disobedience,
Would we at all break any laws? Absolutely none,
and when this idea goes into play and meets its fruition,
all your evil, all of you will be finished, done.

the 5th of November.

Things Found In My Chest

The time reads ten on the clock

and I take in hand my pen.

I pull up my chair to my makeshift desk

and begin removing books from the panel

so that I may lift it and peer into my chest.

One by one I move them, one and all,

the short and the tall.

Moby Dick, The Idiot, Republic, Walden

and Civil Disobedience, The Oxford Book

of American Verse, Alcoholics Anonymous,

The Divine Comedy, This Side of Paradise,

VITA NUOVA, Paradise Lost and Paradise

Regained, Selected Poetry and Prose of Poe,

The Audacity of Hope, and so on and so

on until not one was left not even the

Bible which had rested on their heads.

I opened my chest and went searching

for treasures of my past. Most

were trinkets I stored away like a pack rat.

I found little figures of pirates and

soldiers which I played with when a boy,

marbles and sand dollars, Chinese stars

and nun chucks, most were not even my favorite

toys. I saw yearbooks from middle school and

others from high school. I dared not crack their

spines for I felt not enough time has passed

yet. I found letters from Francheska, Lucy, and Jenny.

I saw pictures of Stephanie, Virginia, and Niki.

then I began to read poems from Nicole and

glanced at the time. It was already one twenty nine.

Alas, it was a nice trip to the past, but now it is time

to close the panel and resume to my books

and my work, for if my head stayed in my chest I

would surely go berserk!

Premium Member He Seems To Be a Winner

The 38th Brazilian President, Jair Bolsonaro,
known for his far-right political view,
some brand him as a right-wing demagogue,
and a radical religious nationalist.

A vocal opponent of same-sex marriage,
abortion, drug liberalization and secularism,
the Supreme Court opened criminal action against him
for insulting women with sexually offensive comments.

He spent his childhood in the Amazon valley,
its rainforest his regime was accused of destroying
in the name of industrial development and progress.
This he rejected as being a false propaganda.

His casual response to COVID was criticized
across the political spectrum, for he downplayed
the seriousness of the pandemic and its effects,
opposed the safety protocol even the death toll rose.

During the last presidential election campaign,
he was stabbed by a man on “a mission of God”.
This made him a hero, but he lost to Lula,
his supporters stormed high institutions and congress.

He denied the responsibility of civil disobedience,
rejected the election as being rigged and illegitimate,
went away to Florida as the Brazilian President
to avoid taking part in Lula’s swearing-in ceremony.

He eventually returned home to be with countrymen,
and to face the charges of corruption and misconduct.
His motto “the truth will set you free” (John 8.32)
seems to make him a winner.

A Man of the Cloth

A thin, frail man of the cloth
who went to England to study law at the age of 19
It was there that he was inspired by
Henry David Thoreau’s ‘Civil Disobedience’

On Jan. 30, 1948 at 5:12 in the evening
as he walked to a prayer meeting
Nathuram Vanayak Godge,
a young Hindu who opposed his views
approached him and bowed
A young girl in the group said
“Brother, Bapu is already late”
He pushed her aside and shot him...
three times in the chest
with a Beretta semi-automatic pistol

His last words were “Rama, Rama”
meaning to him ‘The same God’
Rama is derived from the Hebrew word ‘womb’
also meaning mercy and compassion
which is why it is said that he forgave his killer
before he died…

The name Mahatma means ‘great soul’
Just as Gandhi was inspired by Thoreau
Martin Luther King was in turn inspired by Gandhi

Mahatma Gandhi. A thin, frail man of the cloth
who shook the world to its very foundations
And the battle rages on...

***Dedicated to the people of the country of Bangladesh, who have suffered yet another great tragedy...One of many in their very short history. Gandhi, by the way, strongly opposed the division of the two countries when they won independence...The title of this poem of course does not mean that Gandhi was Catholic or any other Christian religion. Gandhi practiced Hinduism, yet he was a true 'man of the cloth'...wearing only homemade loincloths and sandals

A Cake For You

Joy and I make a cake for you
Ingredients we use just a few
100 ml oil, 300 g flour and I bet
Joy has a white mustache, yet!

300 g cherries –do not eat all:
Well, I said not alone, my soul.
Joy has earrings of cherries, yet!
We eat them. No trace of regret!

200 g Greek yogurt 10% fat
That is certainly not for the cat!
200 g sugar have a lot of fun
"Stranger, please take just one."

Aha! I know why Joy is so sweet.
10 g baking powder, just a bit!
4 eggs: now, I think one is done
The cherries battle's lost or won.

And humbled by this presence
1 tablespoon of vanilla essence
Peel a lemon: a kiss is the price
And little salt to listen Joy advice.

Who ever ate curry with custard
And a little a bit of mustard ?
Just a little as our daily faith
All is true the great God saith;

A good cake with kitchen mate
There was no need to separate
The eggs and beat them or pun
While making this ”pandispane”.

This is kind of civil disobedience:
We simply mix all the ingredients.
We put the sweet and sour cherries.
There are two kind of good fairies:

Let alone the mustard, even a bit -
Where daddy will probably sit.
Then, we are made with flour
Indeed, in less than an hour;

We tidy up, then eat.Come on!
All around, seems well done
But Kings of Disorder at home
Must clean before mother come.

to be lulled into a discordant lullaby of
                                          nightmares of ignorance and demise

Premium Member Bravery and Tragedy

In their epic struggle for freedom
thousands of South Africans
lost their lives in the anti-apartheid movement.
Ordinary people stood shoulder-to-shoulder
against tyranny and bigotry,
and it cost them dearly.
The hopes of a nation fueled their zest
to shuck the yoke of oppression,
and gain their freedom.
They suffered extraordinary hardships and cruelty,
designed to break black spirits.
But they would not cow down to white supremacy,
demanding their inalienable rights as human beings.
They were the poorest of the poor,
and yet, they were the bravest of the brave,
adopting a policy of nonviolence through civil disobedience.
Often jailed and severely beaten,
they bled and died for their cause... but they did not capitulate.
Nelson Mandela was a whisper in the wind
and yet a hero to his people,
never faltering in his convictions.
Being black meant starvation, humiliation,
and segregation at the hands of a white government.
But united in their voices, they shouted,
"Enough!"... We will no longer obey
the laws that take away our liberty.... never again!
Freedom was paid for with the blood of the brave,
whose only currency was their precious lives.
