Past, Present and Future

How do we move forward if we’re always looking back?
At what point did acceptability, exist without fact?
How much can we give; how much can we take?
When did we lose our integrity and become so damn fake?

Will mankind rise up, adapt and overcome?
Why have so many lost and so few have won?
Will forgiveness find it’s way into each of our hearts?
Why must we divide and keep tearing apart?

Nobody is perfect, we all make mistakes.
Each of us will fall flat on our cakes.
Live and learn, then get back up.
There’s more in a bottle than just one cup.

Do your part, do something today.
Show some love by going out of your way.
With empathy and kindness, reach out to a stranger.
Maybe your actions, will save someone from danger.

Premium Member Principles of legitimacy

Is there an eternal metaphor for love?
Is forever a sinful oath abandoned in
an archive of poems with alienated alliteration.
Hidden behind simile and ironic verses?

Why does human interference place
an unwanted label on romance and dignity,
like a social butterfly and the tramp.
These oxymorons become lost in translation,
to simple minds with misinformed ideologies.

Emotions are felt through a balance that
define the impact of words and actions.

Principles of legitimacy have no eyes.

Lust is an internal bonfire,
a fragile candle dripping in wax,
burning the beginning of an end,
a cursed chalice emanating feelings long dead.

Carnal desire is a luscious psycho,
trying to balance splitting paranoia.

Trust is a double edged dagger,
when an asylum of triggers are resurfaced
through crimson, clementine and chalk flashbacks.

We all suffer from immemorial ghosts.

Life gives no refund for regret,
It knows our destiny is death.
Loss leads to a motionless existence,

where bloodstained ivory feathers of the fallen
float in the air from wounded warriors,
whose hearts have crumbled from betrayal.

We never forget the sound of heartbreak.

There is only one immortal emotion.

Love is a silent saviour,
reality in a world of virtual insanity.
Where petals and pearls paint hues of pastel peaches,
creating a psychedelic poetic heaven.

An enchanted melody with waves of serenity,
reflecting ivory shades from
the last phase of the blood moon.

Because some things last beyond time.

Flaming Letter

words hardly do actions justice
and in the means of what you believe is right
true
accurate,
you'll be surprised to find
that every
precise word
spilled into the air
is in actuality
a lie.
Spewed upon the imperfect page,
burn holes swallowing every letter
as if it's the first time.
First time they've been said
first time you've spoken those words.
You have to forgive before you can move on
but what if you hide it
underestimated satisfaction in the guilt,
the guilt you lost long ago
you only puncture the paper twice,
before ripping it to shreds
before you realize you don't want this
you never did.
Instead you steal those words,
throw the paper in flames
waiting patiently for the next one-
same as all the rest-
who swarm in and deliver the same lines,
over
and
over again.
As if it's a cued movie.
You're repetitive lines don't seem to phase me anymore
they lost their meaning long ago
and still,
to this day,
though I picked up each flamed scrap-
and glued them each together-
I don't believe it-
I won't.
Though I wish I could

His Way

As our country falls apart with so many signs were nearing an end
We look down into our hearts in so desperately trying to mend
But with our minds so distracted we soon diverge from His Way
For in God’s Light being refracted satan has much more of a say

The fires continue to burn with the protests growing and growing
But will anybody actually learn in so realizing what God is showing
With each pumping of their fist and the hate wrapped in every word
The One standing right in their mist continues to go completely unheard

So the fires continue to burn the chants increasingly grow louder
As everyone continues to yearn to prove that no one else is prouder
Yes satan speaks loud nowadays as from every mouth he now emits
And when one no longer prays satan knows they’ll soon call it quits

Take this moment to connect with the Father who loves you so dearly
For as His Light in you will reflect you will see things more clearly
From your mouth will come His Word as others will come to see also
For Your heart has now stirred and it is Jesus you now know

Galatians 6:4
Each one should test their own actions.
Then they can take pride in themselves alone,
without comparing themselves to someone else,

"Baggage"
Written: by Tom Wright
4/2000

At times, while endeavoring to do our very best,
Others find fault. [Often we're unaware of what it is]
But by actions or sharp words directed toward us, we know.
It is then that I'm prompted to recall, those who found fault with Jesus;
With that in mind, what chance have we, of always pleasing others?
It is not to say, that we will not try, but If a problem exists with us--
Then let it remain their problem, not become ours.
We should not clutter our thoughts by taking this personally.
[For those with gentle hearts, this is hard]
For if we consent to this, we've taken from them, unwanted baggage,
In the form of worry; I'm reminded also, that envy and jealousy exists,
(Two of the Devil's most evil charms)
Only God knows the thoughts of others and what motivates them
To do and say the things they do. I do know that God, made no junk,
Nor were we made from some mold where all have like personalities.
We each, are individuals, but made in His likeness.
For those who choose to spend their time nit-picking another,
Whereby becoming themselves, a miserable person in the process,
We should have only pity. offering our sympathy,
and of course they have our prayers.
God bless and have a great day!

Chain Reaction

I thought I knew the meaning,
Of my heart's true satisfaction.
But nothing yet can compare,
To this awesome chain reaction.

By giving myself to evil ways,
Made my life an uphill climb.
Living as though I knew it all,
Sure wasted precious time.

A moment came to me one day,
When I had to make a choice.
Follow this old beaten path,
Or listen to your voice.

This time I swear I'll listen,
My actions stayed the same.
I waited for your blessing,
But yet it never came.

I was so lost, scared, & mad,
I couldn't hear you speak.
Why'd you have to leave me?
I've finally reached my peak.

Instantly, I felt your presence,
It brought me to my knees.
You never left me all alone,
To fight these raging seas.

The feeling inside is overwhelming,
I've clearly found true love.
Your grace & joy is inviting,
Please shield me from above.

The grip that evil HAD on me,
Made it dark, too dark to see.
Now my life is filled with light,
Thank YOU for saving ME!

God you are the golden key,
To my soul's true satisfaction.
I broke my heart you fixed it back,
And caused this chain reaction.

No Title

castintg behind the curtain the shroud that blinds the fool
viewing from the audience the use of humanity's greatest tool

the thought of catching eternity answered by the crowds ovation
captured by the memory with no extended notation

but the sights and sounds that time has sold
may just be enough for the mind to hold

to words and actions the thought of forever escapes
residing in our conscience left for the mind to shape

the actions of our lives bestowed to forever cast on often
enshrined in outr memory locked deep in the minds coffin

like the light of the earth the life like the sun has sent
our thoughts are shaped by the atmosphere
created by the hearts content

Every Moment Holds A Truth

Every event carries purpose, hidden deep within.
Waiting for the right moment to reveal its true intent.
Realizing ignorance is to blame for actions wishing to be undone.
Unaware of the outcome, when consequences are spun.

Regrets of the past linger, unchangeable and stark,
Echoes of our actions, leaving an indelible mark.
We often fail to see the cost of love pushed aside,
Only to face the aftermath, where our broken hearts reside.
We flip through pages of pain, the weight of our transgressions.
And find our hollow apologies lack any real confessions.
Desperate whispers of remorse, falling on deaf ears.
Failed attempts lay pleading for someone just to hear.
The hands lay criminal, in the fires that we’ve made.
Consequences surround our actions, awaiting to be paid.
In every scar, there’s wisdom, in every fear a clue,
To cherish what is precious, and hold it close to you.

I’m not speaking someone’s words
I don’t do somebody’s actions
Neither the Commons, nor the Lords
Represent my interactions
Journalists can rend the air
Formulating rather bluntly
What I am, but I’m not there
I don’t live in paper country
In my country there are trees
Gardens and some benches too
Parks and lawns, and birds and bees
People who say “I love you”
Music, arts, two-storeyed mansions
Ponds and rivers, cloudy skies
Things that wouldn’t get a mention
For the lazy reader's eyes
I’ve no use in politicians
That’s an awful part, isn’t it?
And moreover, the ficticious
Thing like ”nation” I don’t need
On the side of unessentials
I live carelessly free
Telling you no confidentials
What’s my country, they can’t see.
