Life is like,
A Snake in an eagle nest.
Life is alike,
A worker at its best.
Life is like,
A torch bearer with no rest.
Life is alike,
A long distance runner who is not exhausted.
Life is like,
A prophet at its mightiest.
Life is alike,
A navigator who loves to go the longest.
Life is like,
A narrator who explains in its shortest.
Life is alike,
A predator who attacks at its deadliest.
Life is like,
A teacher at its greatest.
Life is alike,
The beauty of nature in its minutest.
Life is like,
A doctor who serves without rest.
Life is alike,
A pearl at its deepest.
Life is like,
A king who rules at its hardest.
Life is alike ,
A beggar who stands as the modest.
Life is like,
A goal to be reached at its earliest.
Life is alike,
In all form the fittest, the richest and the mightiest.

The Forest floor sodden, after thaw.
Widow makers out/in horizontal draw.
Stalactites, waiting
for the mis-trodden,
like web and spider maw.
For miscalculation, error in judgment.
Spinning disc through the tree-blind.
But you've been sent.
To get help, medicine, equipment.
Of a dire kind, in dire need.
They are counting on you.
Become the wind through the trees,
like elemental spirit,
laugh at the faceslaps of daggered L' eaves.
More speed.

Time outruns those who don't sprint
To keep up. It never turns back
Or bothers to wait for idle souls
Why carry coals to Newcastle?
Time misspent is time gone forever
Easy come and easy go
Time is too busy to wallow in
The stillness of now. Indeed, it does
Flee like a long-distance runner
With an engine that keeps on
Humming and chugging, it keeps on
Steadily; time never crawls, it sprints

Heart Runner
My heart is a long distance runner...
running uphill.
Inhaling now, exhaling the future.
Before I met her,
I was in a coma.
She's waking me up...
Embryo stirring, stretching, reaching
to grasp the unknown.
Forcefully being pushed
down the depression channel~
while panting, heart throbbing
against the wall of my soul.
Inhaling now, exhaling the future.
Flying now,
with effortless movement..
Feet have wings,
Heart racing uphill.
Inhaling now, exhaling the future.
Waiting to quench my thirst,
Hear her sigh,
in the present moment...
See how her face appears..
Touch my lips against her cheek...
Breathe within her private realm.
Her love is that cool drink
of pure water...
waiting for me at the end of the race,
as we embrace the present moment,
forget all the hills we had to climb,
and leisurely stroll off
into the future.
