Issue, O Iridescence!
Luminesce on the sly.
Pore over, phosphorescence?
Oh yes, and here is why!
Students of the nebula!
Empire has its cost!
Best to keep it regular?
That or deal of Faust!
Sauced, are ye, wild warriors?
Well, at times it's best.
Lost and sinking? Sail azures!
Tours and boors need rest.
Zest, O mighty zephyr!
Boreal pole, hear all!
Have you seen the lost heifer?
My! Io, give a call...
Fall, when winter, taciturn;
Sends the snow and ice;
Sullen, silent, spares to spurn;
Miracled device;
What will avail travelers?
High road, one with us?
Gods of death, synthetic furs?
Bile and blunderbuss!
Muss on heads of wearied folk?
That is not good news.
O for eggs with scrambled yolk!
Doom, Death, disabuse...
Channeled communications?
Be sure to precise read.
Otherwise re-educations!
Draw bead, O my greed!
Weed atop the giant's mound?
Zero Lost and Found?
O ye serpents, hissing sound?
Next below the ground...
Warning? Dark fire, warming?
O locusts on the air:
Sudden is thy swarming?
Life, ladies, is not fair...

Her ineffable iridescence transcended my trepidations.
Her scintillating semblance was a hammer to the heart on my sleeve.
Shattering my shamefulness and unlocking my ululations,
But now I am bereaved for my lover chose to leave.
Now my concubine is chimeric and my feelings have faded.
Wash away my world but preserve the past memories in my mind.
Leave me to languish in our eternal estrangement.

"...all that vulgar beauty of iridescence...", "Roosters", by Elizabeth Bishop
"It is used in nature
to recognize organisms
of the same species, choose mates,
confuse and evade predators --
a useful adaptation --
a shimmer of glittering and
changeable colors --
the phenomenon of certain surfaces
that appear to gradually change color
as the angle of view or angle of illumination changes --
(ex: soap bubbles, feathers, butterfly wings,
seashell nacre, as well as certain minerals) --
an inventive optical trick."
Any difference between pearlescent and iridescent?
Pearlescent objects have a luster resembling
that of mother-of-pearl. Iridescent objects
have a lustrous, rainbow-like play of colors
caused by differential refraction of light waves --
as in "the object seems to change color
as you shift your perspective" -- a shimmer
of glittering and changeable colors --
an "inventive optical trick" indeed!
Could there not be some among us, who --
perhaps even if for their own purposes,
are almost -- almost -- almost truly iridescent?

Beyond opacity of clouds blanketing vast firmament
glowing solar rays expose their celestial commitment
valiantly warming the Earth with bright engagement…
…struggling to prevail in the Tropics over weather that’s inclement.
Reigning sun’s blissful iridescence
vanquishes typhoon-attacks against prediction license
while grace of God* abounds along blessings’ presence…
…wondrously revealing manifold harvests upon great toil’s incense.
Hovering over dense canopy of azure sky
sun power rejuvenates trekkers climbing high
likewise delights children in their kite-fly…
… and prompts me to bid good bye to slothfulness’ sigh.
*1Corinthians 1:4 I thank my God always … for the grace of God which is given … by Jesus Christ.

I'm tired of chasing the light
Been trapped in this crimson black night
Can't find the only way out
Even my own self, I always doubt.
I'm addicted to the moon's iridescence.
It's bloodshot halo makes a lot of sense
Illuminating my mind with exasperation,
Filling my heart with a void emotion.
I'm tired of chasing the light
Don't even know if I can still fight
Everytime I try to move I cringe
Hear my thoughts, please do not infringe.
I'm tired of chasing the moonlight
I'm tired of worshipping it-- too bright
I'm tired of gazing at red and black skies
I'm tired of being deceived by its lies.

Birth of a pearl on a stelliferous night.
Amidst, shimmering iridescence, crepuscular morphing light.
Beautiful fireflies dancing to the tune of “aye!”
Dressed in white, gracefully gleaming bright.
Queen of gems, quietly arrives,
with ultimate sophistication to rule the sky.
Showering amplifying mystical powers.
Silver rainbow of your purifying light,
Steeps into me and make me glow.
Bestowing equanimity and self-control.
Ripples of your vibes, ignite my soul.
You and I entwined with a beautiful tie.
Silent converse and profound insight.
You control the rhythm of my tides.
Healer of my wreak havoc emotions.
Guiding my intuitions and introspections.
O! Ruler of the Oceans!
Accept my boundless devotion.

Silver-blue magenta
shimmering warmly white
damson-dark at center
like southern summer night
clay might yet invent a
true visceral new light.

IRIDESCENCE
an angle a view
illuminating
colour changing
soap bubbles
butterfly
wings and
sea shells
fish tanks deflected
and reflected
light
rainbow colours
observed in
slanted shaded
delight
through shilling
telescopes
or by soft eyes
we recognise them
floatation’s of
imaginations
delicacy
how true is your
star of sparkling
observations
dazzled by the
essence of
miraculous
iridescence?
