Premium MemberRide Into the Wind

Ride the open highway

To Hell and back my friend

You can chase all your dreams

But you cannot catch the wind

Ride into tomorrow

And seize the brand new day

Yesterday's behind you

But today will come what may

Premium MemberScreaming into the wind

I scream into the wind in the hope someone
Will hear.

I Scream into the wind so you hear me far and
Never.

I scream into the wind in anguish and dispair.

I scream into the wind but no one seems to
CARE.

I scream into the wind but my screaming is
In vain

Because screaming into the wind does not
Take away the pain.

Premium MemberShe Tosses Her Hair Into the Wind

She tosses her hair into the wind with wild abandon and hope.
Her ways wise and wonderful, power tree is as pure as Ivory soap.
I stand in the shadows watching, wondering what she will do next.
Her movements seem spontaneous, but her mind is complex.

She looks so casual, and yet she is always plotting an oak says.
I know this is true, she is my sister, her name is Splendiferous Inez.
I have seen her in action since I was a wee babe, she is always thinking.
Of ways to bring peace and hope to the woods, continually uniting and linking.

Premium MemberI Released Her Into the Wind

We became friends before she lost herself
Growing up together, we loved many of the same things
As a young wife, in an abusive situation, she had reinvented herself
A fearful shadow, hypervigilant.

She had been opinionated and self-assured.
That person was dead; gone, buried, her ashes blown.
I offered to pay for her therapy. She smiled but did not reply.
She flinched a bit when I persisted, so I stopped.

She followed me around for a year or two
Doing what I was doing, saying what she thought I wanted her to say
I released her into the wind, hoping she could rediscover herself
I told her to come back when she remembered who she used to be.

Premium MemberDon'T Spit Into the Wind

Don't cause yourself trouble where there's no need.
Don't yield to temptations of lust, power and greed.

No matter the reasons for the things you do,
They always come back, they come home to you.

Things never work out for those who break rules.
They always get caught and then look like fools.

Some rules are written, some just common sense,
And those who ignore them are stupid and dense.

Don't look down your nose when you don't understand.
Ask questions before you let judgement stand.

There are things that go on we know nothing about.
Our opinions oft differ once things are found out.

When tempted to cast bad light on a neighbor,
With tongues that drip venom and cut like a saber,

Think how you'd feel if he did that to you.
Speak ill of another and hurt yourself too.

Put a note in a bottle, cast it into the sea.
In a day or a week it comes back to thee.

Whether written or spoken all words have power.
Speak not without thought, the results could be dour.

So make sure it's good, spread kindness my friend,
And whatever you do, don't spit into the wind.

Premium MemberSailing Into the Wind

Sailing Into the Wind
By David J Walker

How simple
This idea of a rudder
Small
but enough to keep
or change the course
Of the largest ships
At sea
And even in the rage of storms
As fear grips the hearts
	And souls of all those
On board
calling to their Captain from
Their knees
Who holds fast
	To the tiller
The power
	To rebuke the wind
And the waves
Tempting fate
Calling in faith
For the calm that come again
As the Captain
	With the Tiller
And rudder
Sail into the wind

Movie standards were once quite high
Words like damn were frowned upon
But now with the wind those standards are gone
And frankly, no one seems to give a damn

So when the movie" Gone With The Wind" came out
The producers had some doubts about
Using the word Damn
Which was to be spoken by Rhett, Scarlet's man
But they relented and the word did stand
And the scene went exactly as planned

But what if the movie was made today
What would Rhett Butler say?
It would probably go something like this
Frankly @#*&# I don't give a #$*@..
Movie standards today are as low as they can get
The words they use today would make Rhett turn scarlet

Into the Wind

I stand in the darkness, looking at the stars
How could you do this, you broke my heart
The wind blows heavily, into my face
As the silence seeps in, and takes your place
I'm trying to find a way, to say goodbye
But it seems the only thing, I can do is cry
What we had was special, real and true
But none of that matters, if I don't have you
So I'll toss these memories, into the wind
And I'll stop thinking, about what should have been
I'll dry these tears, upon my face
And I'll let the loneliness, take your place
But don't think for a second, that I never loved you
Don't think for a second, that it wasn't true
I'll always be loving you, deep inside
I'll always be caring, that I won't hide
But the wind is blowing you, slowly away
And this pain will get easier, each new day

Blowing Caution Into the Wind

Since nothing has truly happened,
can't assume the danger, isn't there.
Especially, when your a targeted soldier,
and the enemy, could be anywhere.

For they are there, when least expected.
When not given a second thought.
Then suddenly upon the victim, they attack,
giving them, all that they got.

Relentless are they without doubt,
no mercy, is there, in their heart.
That is why us soldiers prepare,
ourselves, from the very start.

For the sake of the soldier beside us,
fighting terrorists, committing, many a crime.
Must be ready for anything,
by not blowing away caution, at any time.

Into the Wind...

A feeling, I need to walk in...
this touch I cannot recover...
...knowing from beginning to end...

...for me, for you...for us no other...

this feeling I need to walk...

I heard your name on the wind today...
this place I've never been...
this love, she's a crazy thing...

...no one can stop the sun from seeing
you...

our world, sits under a natural canopy...
where trees reach the sky...
where free birds fly...

where kisses blown into the wind...
find her lips...destined-

this joy I scream, your name serene...
I'll lay beside you rest a while...
whisper a message to the breeze...

I've got your hand in mine...
this love we share...
"what a beautiful life,...our love to
one another, we release...without despair

...beautiful creature, your spirit rescued
mine, we bask together, in universal time...
this is where I want to be, just you and me...
sharing the wind, her birds, her trees, her free...
