Internationals Poems | Examples

Premium Member Abominable generation

Oh how loathsome are this generation.?? Who call
Evil good and good as evil.' Who revel in perversions
Causing hatred and all kinds of war' sowing dischord
And envy here I name you..Davos-ites and parasites
You smear bread of affliction with honey..Yet its intentional
 to cow
The internationals, to create some action group like a
World army ?

Ben Jesson

Whilst doing a degree at Aberdeen University,
In marine biology, Ben started to do archery,
Along which shooting which he took to more,
Until the international stage was an open door.

At the age of fifteen a disorder was diagnosed,
Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease, which disclosed,
Is a hereditary nervous system disorder, feet,
Which causes his foot drop in both of his feet.

He’s an SH1 athlete and joined the British team,
In 2011 when he travelled to Alicante of glean,
And also took part in Mandeville’s Internationals,
To qualify for London’s Paras, made the finals.

Ben did well at the 2015 Shooting World Cup,
Where he finished ninth to make Rio his cup;
He was born on the 19th of February in 1988,
And shoots in the mixed R3-10m prone bate.

Natalie Greenhough

Natalie was fifteen when she started playing judo,
At her home club in Crawley of Kin Ryu Judo Club,
When she trained twice weekly against able-bodied,
She was coached by Lisa Harrison in category 70kg.

She’s a 1st dan grade, a very high Japanese rank
Of black belt, and she was born on 27th June 1994;
She won the junior Worlds in Egar, Hungary, a gold,
Gold in the Internationals 2015, bronze in the open.

Louis Rolfe

Louis has a sports centre named after him,
At his local Cambridge Regional college;
He’s a C2 para-cyclist, has Cerebral Palsy,
Plus hydrocephalus, was fired by 2012.

So after these very successful Paras 2012,
Louis was tested by British cycling coaches,
Who found talent, skill and hidden strength,
Such that he became part of the GB team.

He made the 2012 Newport Internationals,
Where he won for the individuals, bronze,
Collected a team silver and he progressed,
Onto the Apeldoorn Worlds in Holland.

There he placed fifth in the team sprint,
Came seventh in the long 1km time trial,
And in the individual pursuit came tenth,
To make the Montichiari World Champs.

One gold for the team sprint, one bronze,
For the C1-C5 C2 time trial, and so in Rio
He excelled, taking the team sprint gold,
And the bronze in the C2 individual pursuit.

Orlando Rich

If I were rich I would live in Orlando,
Where the sun grooms the watered land,
Where busyness is quelled by knowing that,
You can always live in another city grand.

My Disney poems would be accepted,
As part of the scene, the whole shebang,
As I would hope to complement Mr Disney,
With poetry’s feeling shade on the hang.

I would have the carers that I wanted to,
Tall, handsome, smiley and relaxed at chat,
And maybe have two showers every day,
With only a t-shirts to choose and rat.

I might go swimming in the outside pool,
With a carer, not with a staunch physio,
And I could barbecue mushrooms forever,
With have a large car having Orlando radio.

I may, in the end, write a non-fiction book,
About the Disney films and their morality,
About what’s behind them and the values,
About their promotion of a healthy longevity.

Sea World, Universal Studios and NASA,
Are just on hand by your door step,
And as a hub and centre for internationals,
The diverse culture means no cooking prep.
