The bloc..Has lost the moment.' Perhaps thats no surprise?
An insularity within a country.? Well let the folks decide.!
And if they throw that bloc upon the current lakes?
Will it smoothly ride? Or lacking true fluidity.? into
The deeps will it slide?

Down with pessimism
Drown not in negativism
Beware of escapism
Steer clear of cynicism
Keep far from fanaticism
It only invites antagonism
Too lonely is monasticism
Too stifling, collectivism
Failure dogs perfectionism
Emptiness mars materialism
Insularity deadens catechism
Stoicism breeds fatalism...
True, this poem is full of criticism
~ But it ends on a note of optimism

Body lies somnolent upon each new day’s arrival.
Mind knows the tacit words she said that day.
Heart has been seared beyond any repair.
X marks the spot upon my chest from gelid truth.
Breaking my heart that day she left our room.
Shedding communication from me, of all kinds,
Only a placid look as she leaves for work at night.
Scornful attitude she leaves me, facing insularity.
These things have been a week’s pastime today
Discovering, she says she is leaving me, forever.
I pressed her to communicate with an old friend.
Feeling of confidence, not realizing their past,
Now I pass the time shielding my wounds so deep.
However, looking hard enough you can clearly see.
An X that marks the spot where she drove her cheating,
Terms deep into my chest, while ripping my affection.
X Marks the Spot (revised 6/15/10)
