The Long Road Home

THE LONG ROAD HOME

Our home in the country sit's deep in a valley.
Once a month our small town has a home town rally.

Country living and country folk is what we live for.
We all are willing to lend a hand or to open a door.

Tall trees winter grass and the scent of spring flowers.
Chickens laying eggs, cows grazing in summer showers.

People of Prue,Oklahoma have nothing bad to say.
We socialize and join together in church and pray.

We got a church,post office,store and a school.
We got our own lake so there is no need for a
                    swiming pool.

There's plenty of room for dogs and kids to roam.
.As you travel the long road home.

My Journey Home

My journey home is closer today,

than it was yesterday.

Someday my heart aches and pain

will pass me by.

My journey home will be a

most beautiful trip,like no one

has ever taken before.

Mother has been waiting for me,

there on those goldend shores,

ever since her parting from this old world

many years ago.

Taking one day at a time,

until I take my

journey home, when I sit down

with my Lord and thank Him

for what he did for me

on Calvary that day so long ago.

To a Blind Man

To a Blind Man

To a blind man your words seem foolish
To a man with open eyes
You are so clever and wise
Your thoughts go above ours
Like heaven is to the world
To a deaf man you where just a man
To a man with open ears
You guide them home taking their hand
Walking by their side
While they listen as you guide
Building their home on a solid foundation
As you will deliver them into salvation
To a blind man the world
Seems to be improving
While you have some
That sit and ponder why
So many kids now sit and cry
And many put trust in scientist
See them so clever when they could clone
Not realizing many hearts are made of stone
While one with open eyes
Notice how the world tends
To stray very rapidly
How many are going against all the Lord expects
While many eyes have a speck
Blocking out the light to the path
So not aware headed toward the wrath
Lord you are the cornerstone of the construction
While I see many headed to destruction

Eternally Home

Tears of ardency, fell from my eyes..
Seated in heavely places is where I'll
abide..

"Welcome home, my precious child."
He gently whispers with a radiant smile.

I drop to my knees and bow my head..
Hanging and holding onto every word he
had said.

He lifted me up and wiped away my tears..
"You are home now, my child, no need to
fear."

Take His Hand

He's the man, take His hand,
He'll show you the way
He'll walk beside you and guide you
and never go away.
He has a home waiting for you
where there's no darkness or night
just a heavenly home that's full of
sunshine and light.
Close your eyes, don't you worry
about your family or friends,
they'll come later when He calls them
and you'll see them again,
Hear His voice, He is calling,
He's bringing you home
to His mansion in heaven
where you'll never be alone.
You'll see loved ones from the past
who'll be waiting at the gates
Just take His hand,
He's the man
and He'll show you the way.
Just take his hand
He's the man
He'll show you the way.

The Splendour of Heaven

THE SPLENDOUR OF HEAVEN

FAR ABOVE THE CLOUDS ABOVE US
               HEAVENS BEAUTY LIES,
FAR TO RICH FOR HUMAN NATURE
AND TO BRIGHT FOR HUMAN EYES.

ITS A HOME OF ETERNAL GLORY
             WITH AN EVERLASTING PEACE,
A HOME WITH NO MORE HEARTACHES
            AND ALL SORROW WILL DECEASE.

ITS A HOME OF MILK AND HONEY
TO THE SOUL WHO ENTERS IN.
A SOUL THAT HAS NO BLEMISH
AND A SOUL THAT HAS NO SIN.

THE KING OF KINGS WILL REIGN THERE
          WITH ANGELS ROBED IN WHITE.
          OH WHAT AN AWESOME PICTURE
I CANT WAIT TO TAKE MY FLIGHT.

AND LIVE FOREVER WITH MY LORD
THE ONE WHO DIED FOR ME,
AND SING PRAISES WITH THE ANGELS
           FOR ALL ETERNITY.

SOMEDAY SOON I WILL GO THERE
IN THIS LAND THAT HAS NO NIGHT,
AND SEE THE SPLENDOUR OF HEAVEN
          WHERE THERE BURNS ETERNAL LIGHT.
