Premium Member My Thanksgiving To You, My God

My LORD God, I verily thank* You so much
Your love, grace, and mercy are abounding in my life...

Tenaciously, You uphold me daily with Your tenderness
Hoisting my faith toward good works’ performance
Assuring me Your approval midst adversaries’ accusations
Nourishing me with Your nurturing sufficiency-contentment
Knocking down my doubts and unbelief
Securing me with Your salvation might
Generously You bless my spirit
Innumerably and incessantly providing
Vanquishing my vanity-driven pursuits
Nestling my mind around Your wisdom
Granting me generously; You’re my shepherd, I shall not want.*

Psalm 18:49 Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O LORD...

Breathe On You

Maybe we're subjugated to
certain subjects and
 I revolve around you
while you reflect on me.
Maybe we are light
 and part night.
 Energy and passion
overflowing; amassing,
Oceans of surplus
maybe your touch unmasks me
 while mine
 has the opposite effect
 covering you.
 Maybe we undress
 clothing ourselves
 in one another.
hot and bothered
and our lips haven't
 even performed
acts of sedition yet.
Deep conversations
cause soul conversions.
Our tongue's
provide unbelievable
submersions
holding your breath
innumerably
while I breathe
a good word
upon you
indefinitely
Inhale to your exhale
making love with
the movement of air.

Turn

Its' truth,
and it's in the dark,

but with the spark we can wall off like a plaster of farce,

any indecent start,

with incandescent sprawl to remark.

As if it were all the placated thing that does the hard lard-

I never needed but grew to embark!

Outcasts spell me neededly' as I see whats seething-rot with grease on things.

I'm pleading eagerly,
for the right stage for the print of my priest-

but wonder allowed if i'll have to keep repeating and easily wondering about the joggy' facts,

the eccentricity of my real badge-

the maps toggling themselves to distance innumerably far from my wrangler in park,

and the truth that's so dark.

Memories of a Zimbabwean Childhood

Long ago,the guinea fowls congregated
Clourfully and innumerably
And sang sweet songs
And played in the savanah
They sang for the for the antelopes
To leap and dance in the beautiful grass lands
The farm boys listened and danced too
And their hearts were merry

At night around the fire the folk tales were interesting;
The wild dogs barked ;
The nightjars called peacefully;
The owls clamorous, booming hoot was heard
The starry fireflies flashed in courtship elaborate dances

But the conflagrations came
And swept across the grass lands and bushvelds
The axemen were merciless ;
And by their millions the trees were severed
The poachers were ruthless
And the animals wild knew not more peace
The guinea fowls were poisoned
The nature loving farm boys beheld
All this chapter in heavy hearted silence
The guinea folws and other song birds
Shall never sing again
And the times shall never be better again.
