UNDERGROWTH

UNDERGROWTH

Two figures hesitate in the undergrowth
A man dressed in black, a lady in green
Maybe they have paused to let nature in
A carpet of Spring flowers at their feet
Or that their meeting remains discreet
And that their agreed future may begin
Altogether, it’s quite a romantic scene
Imminently, each to plight their troth

A walk in the forest, and alone at last
Trees, slender and reaching to the sky
Arranged as if they are a congregation
All in rows, clearly a planned planting
One can almost hear them all chanting
The leaves whispering in a sussuration
And none here can ever question why
It’s to celebrate a future, not the past

It’ll soon be time when they must go
Turning back yet leave nothing behind
Their meeting ended sealed with a kiss
Love is a gift to give, never to borrow
Both will experience a new tomorrow
Even the undergrowth feels their bliss
It is a love they were so lucky to find
Both they and the undergrowth know

Are we less superior to ourselves than realization?
Our temporary shell, our salt, our generation.
Our streamers flutter like snow in Antarctica.
longing and valid expansion, made of mica.

Striving to liberate us, it rips apart its body.
Once again, envisaging us embody.
Systole, diastole, adventure indiscriminately.
The wide open oozes a scent of love imminently.

Shimmering between each of the drumbeats.
Summer, you are the windlessness of such feats.
We ate, kissed, cuddled, and then supped food.
A day's total is a unit of measure for what you lewd.

Need and desire exist in an interdependent reality.
We bury our bodies as a sign of our mortality.
The fate of our remains while wearing the shell
The land utters us the title of a spare body smell.

Synapses are memories, and we are waiting.
In order to cross its boundary, there is no gating.

A Cosmic Marvel Turned To Dust

A once vibrant Cosmic marvel turned to dust,
the result of hate, and of ignorance and of lust!

An illusion we have of being the crown of creation,
an illusion that has caused none but devastation!

As our giver of life stands right before our eyes,
we choose to bicker, argue, and fight over gods and over lies!

There are powers far greater than our understanding of gods,
when in truth we may all be wrong, what are the odds?

We are from the Earth and that should be our church,
we are the protectors of life and as such must emerge.

Is nature then, not the apex of amazement and burst of life,
when we so comfortably trade that for money, possessions, and strife.

Creating a twisted mental persistence to compete,
when in the end it will all be imminently absolute.

Nature is my church and my actions my proud religion,
while the opinions others have of that is a mere smidgen.

I am the forest dweller and ambassador for truth,
adding to the spice of life just a tiny dash of vermouth.

A protector, a sailor, a thinker and perhaps even a saint,
be it as it may, my decisions and path are always quaint.

This Time Around Is For Me

Traduced! Forgive but don’t forget is the adage
How can one heal whilst storing the ugly image?
It’s the lie entailed by cowardice…

So a mind, replete with forgiven but unforgotten
Turns irrational and presumes in verbiage rotten!
Imminently, bruises need a poultice…

Mired in all the untoward-pardoned-unforgettable
Eclipsed visages twist-taunt into the judge-mental
as he hammers over a ripped bodice…

Rage absorbed takes on a caliber hard to disown
Of a volcanic-type verisimilitude; shield unknown
under the buried-remembered, malice…

Nursed so long in remembrance, turns corrupt
Drinks in all the stored negatives to then erupt
in wanton caprice…

Surely, forgetting is requisite to forgiving,
for how is one to enjoy the present living?
Odious history’s peace…

Riding the past to fill moments in beauty
Memory retention is the declared reality
Enunciated with declining hubris…

Soul Mates

A sprinkle of destiny releases
into a filled to capacity room
To swim about the viewers
and humming a resounding croon
Wafting through the air
with a kindled message to the ones
unaware of a fate that
imminently shall become
Familiar unknown eyes target and bind
through a room filled crowd
Hearts have solved their mystery
now beat forever together
upon their cloud

Jozi, An Afternoon Stroll Part I

The Joburg city sounds go crescendo
As I slowly ascend, from beneath the subway tunnel.
I am Inducted to the rush hash pace of pedestrians
And the hooted frustrations of motorists on the crowed roads,
This often happens, Itineraries synchronizing
As everybody makes their back home.

Once emerged, on to the foot traffic I go, I inherit the pace
And find myself mindlessly whooshing on the road side pavement.
As I penetrate deeper in route, the city odor gets rather unsavory
And my focus is drawn to avoiding hawkers and hobos
As I’ve learnt that conversation Invites tragedy,
I abstain to keep my valuables and most probably my life.

I take a right on Bree, opposing the traffic flow.
Imminently I’m greeted by the amalgamated Jozi reverberations,
Like a lullaby the city sings as it surrenders to the night
And its occupants numb an¬d calmed to its cannabis effects
As yet another day is promised to them,
Another day the it sheds it’s gold to them,
For a good day’s hustle.

A Plot In Vain

Many a flame, brightens the sky

Such events to re-enact

A plot in vain that would underlie

A pre-determined pact

Brought up as a Catholic child

Beliefs that would not wane

The distinct view of Protestants

Reflecting royal reign

The disapproving treatment then

Catholic Priests and all

Of secret church services

Hidden holes – no fall

A venture to the land of Spain

Discover and to fight

A brave and learned soldier

Gunpowder to alight

Plans devised, against the king

Thomas Winter’s plot

Fawkes informed and now assigned

Such tales were not forgot

A secret meet within the Inn

Robert Catesby lead

A gang adjoined as one to swear

Our plans will go ahead

A parliamentary opening

Imminently placed

For barrels rolled into the night

Hidden without trace

A letter sent to Monteagle

Reward for such a warn

Uncovered act, to light a fuse

The truth of which be sworn

Hidden in the cellar below

O’ Guy to now arrest

A plotters display of guilty heads

The ending of their quest

Searching For Atlantis

Searching for Atlantis

Searching for the Lost City of Atlantis
The depths of the seas near the stinging mantis
Down, down in the caverns of the oceans
There is a city uncharted that’s in shear e motion
A place where people know not of hate
But of eminent, trustworthiness of a live fate
Posidon”s people and fish live together
They’ve learned in peace the way now, forever
The peace they possess imminently within
Shows others not to, in them, cause lethal sin
The sins of nature will destroy you
And everyone around and near to you, too
	Atlantis is near
	So do not fear
	Atlantis is in your heart
If you want its dear part.

What a Strange Feeling

He had never knew this feeling before
Which penetrated his pride crust to heart's core
Her sight rose a storm which couldn't be uttered
Though his tongue was tied, but his eyes stuttered

Psyche was imploring running time to stop
As with her,he felt as if being at a cloud's top
Eons with her would be seconds ending imminently
wishing to be with her in a life of vibrant eternity

And if she left, he would feel sad and weak
Destroyed as falling to the abyss from the peak
Thinking of her made him forget slumber
As he was lured and locked in love's chamber

Black Sheep Drawback

‘BLACK SHEEP DRAWBACK’

Discouraged, anxious and unsure—pitch black tarmacs start their war
Petrified, panicked and distressed—uncertainty cracks amidst unwelcomed guests
Dissociated and desensitised a perfect attack—as nervous disposition follows predictable tracks
Another prestigious black tie event—suites and shoes will seldom boycott consents

Perfected flair keeping companies in the black—elegantly formal their wives attack
Each one attired in the colour of grief—sadness and mourning a blackmailed thief
There stands Jack, in a room that is packed—emotionally elusive, cunningly drawn back
Mysterious, powerful negative dirt tracks—black-market malevolence no visible cracks

Observation, lack of confidence to engage—courage imminently pending and upstaged
An edgy apprehensive shrink-back—protection from impulsive reactive, confused attacks
Alarming blackout to opinions of others—ignoring motives of guaranteed buffers
A black sheep just got blacklisted again—anticipation of recurring hurt and pain

The Final Discussion

Two faced fox from beneath the shadows
Prepackaged blush the manipulative wallows
Irrational cupidity earthed in lies
Imminently causing fitting cries

Acute observations to every detail
Questions asked but to no avail
Reprehensible plight wears temperance thin
And convincingly accounts for the insurmountable win

Clarity of worth is only there in the lack of
Contradictions and assumptions strikingly thereof
In effect attempts are marked as feeble
Noteworthy endeavors deemed as terrible

Given that honesty less jest were sought
If only beyond the bridge were given thought
Contexts beyond the cusp could have been prevented
The discussion ends when this poem has ended

The Appearance of Some Men

Many are the quick and deceiving ways
that entangle us or destroy us with lies,
and none of them can promise anything;
they resemble shadows coming
forth with the quiet and brief dusk,
unable to dissolve an imponderable doubt!

The apperance of some men
must be strongly felt
and always remembered:
either by thought,
action or hand-work,
because their presence is too essential
to the survival of Mankind
whose destiny is held by a hook,
which could imminently snap
and worsen its downfall...
warnings are abused with curses
and words so unkind!

The apperance of some men
only showing rudness,pride,
vanity and insensibility...
deludes us all with that false,
belief in implausible stability;
we have stepped forward
with such unsound minds,
boasting ourselves of great gains!
The appearance of some men
was destined to predict
the unity Humanity can't find!
