Illuminous Poems

Return From Andromeda

Hemisphere of the North on a Winters Night
Nocturnal shores in illuminous light
soaring heights on a scale so hugely vast
in dark lanes of Andromeda's grasp.

Intricate waves of the cosmic rays
in spiral voids of the Milky Way
to the planets sheets of the Stellar Star
100 million or more of the Nova far.

Iv traveled from a journey of ancient time
iv seen Spiral Nebular through the dust that shine
but the floating hues catch my warmest tears
whispers softest notes of Andromeda's fears.

She returns with the stars on a scented night
Nocturnal wings back and forth in her flight
but Andromeda Spirals so show her the way
for she's is lost, and needs to stay.

Morning Plight

Morning, you onerous tease
with your welcoming light
gifting illuminous sight
what have you brought forth
an awakening
to move and to hope
in the woe of day
but upright I fear not

Smelling the Coffee On the Isle of Skye

The smiling loch gives a welcome
Along with the vigorous pine,
Time to recharge the soul
And smell the coffee on the Isle of Skye.

Misty mountains of mystery
Are a drug with a natural high,
And offer more to discover
Sipping coffee on the Isle of Skye.

The landscape changes each minute
As clouds give way to the shine,
As the sun whispers the invite
Smell the coffee on the Isle of Skye.

White washed homes contrast colour
Of illuminous mountain sides,
That greet the Cali ferries,
And bring life to the Isle of Skye.

You can almost touch the mountains
As you're touched by the Western Isles,
Three dimensions experienced, while
Sipping coffee on the Isle of Skye.

But the likeness of God in nature
Stirs the fourth dimension inside,
Marries the natural and spiritual, while
Smelling the coffee on the Isle of Skye.

Chaos theory must answer
To the Western Island design,
A place too wonderful for me
While smelling coffee on the Isle of Skye.

The Gaelic heart of Scotland
Melts into the core of mine,
As the wide-eyed little boy
Smells the coffee on the Isle of Sky.

A Rare Bird

A rare bird.

A rare bird is he with feathers illuminous red and green;

a bird that only few will ever see and perhaps twas meant to have been.

This bird flies free over mountains and through the mind of a dream;

escaping all barriers and leaving only temperance in mean.

A breeze will lift him to the highest contemplation of being;

and the rain will make him cry for this means a heart is bleeding.

The whistle of this bird when heard flows gently and transcends feelings;

he sits on your shoulder sometimes just to see what books you are reading.

Don't be mistaken in thinking you'll ever actually be able to see him;

first you must close your eyes and let yourself believe anything.

Dancing In the Rain

Large pearl water drops drip from the sky

Fall onto my skin

Slide down my body

Large pearl water drops drip from the sky

Making my clothes stick

Securing my hair to my face

Large pearl water drops drip from the sky

Forming puddles for me to splash in

Quenching Earth's thirst

Large pearl water drops drip from the sky

Illuminous bolts of lightening light up the sky

Loud beats of thunder tremble down from the sky

All this making a storm

Trying to ruin my day

But I know how to dance in the rain

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Note...Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain

Sistah Girl

Sistah girl
Your smile
Lights the
World
Your brown
Skin
So rich
And smooth
Arms stretch
Wide
Accepting and releasing
Love
Your natural
Movements
So graceful
And sexy
Sistah girl
Your hands
Small and nibble
Can heal anything
Strong; they would
Never let go
Of the people
And things
That matter most
Sistah girl
Love Yourself
In and Out
Because you are
Illuminous
