Graven images are currently called
monuments
Stone figurines erected by man,
built to carry his memory throughout all generations
God hates graven images,
they are an affront to His holy, infinite nature
Man trying to preserve himself forever in stone,
but before he died, did he have his sins atoned?
Or are all the transgressions he committed in life,
now forever etched in stone
His crimes now set to be judged upon
Graven images are currently called 
statues
Stone sculpting depicting man,
so-called art honoring someone's fleeting memory
A solemn remembrance passed on to posterity
God abhors graven images:
make none, He forbade
Cast off the stony hearts which chained you in life,
before you go down to the grave
An idol worshiper has always been called
a devil's sin slave
