At birth I was named Golden Cloud,
But you know me as Trigger.
When I became Roy Rogers’ horse
My fame became much bigger.
They say I was the smartest horse
That anyone had seen.
I’d walk on two feet, sign my name
And was house-trained to stay clean.
Roy Rogers paid a hearty sum
To make me his own horse.
It’s equaled 30k today
But I was worth it, of course!
I starred in westerns, learned my tricks,
And lived a life of pleasure,
And in return, I was deemed
A western National Treasure.
I would not trade my life with Roy
Because I knew he loved me,
I run in heavenly pastures now
And rest under green shade trees.
I'm a midnight sneak,
At Google I'll peak,
My eyes grow round and glow,
It's well after midnight, you know,
I'll filch some treats,
Addictions need sweets,
I'm quite house trained,
Computer feeds my brain,
All alone in this darkened room,
Stalking through these Google runes,
Is that five am to prowl?
Shhh, I'm insomniac midnight owl!
