Beautiful Gypsy

Beautiful gypsy riding in a caravan
With a black mongrel and an old man
In the cold winter
Off to a world
That is new
And yet unknown
To a place that she will make her own
Across the dusty Arabian sands
With a glowing crystal ball in her hands
Armed with magical spells
And Voodoo like bells
Educated in the art of healing
With herbal roots
And exotic fruits
Robed in her long black tunic
And her big black boots
Her thick black hair
Raven black
Engulfs her pretty little face
Ravishing beauty
That turns heads in every little place
What will the future hold?
As they seek great fortune
Happiness and gold
Across the fields
They watch
Horse riding
Over the snow flakes
And across the hilly villages
Off to the city in the north
Where the Great robber pillages
Beautiful gypsy riding in her caravan
She arrives in a strange land
And meets a crowd of people
Shouting from a steeple
Go back! Go back!
But a preachers offer water
And asked the old man
Is this your daughter?
Beautiful gypsy riding in her caravan
Found a home to stay
She went down on her knees
To pray
She is too far from home any way

*~* Start Where You Stand *~*

Start where you stand and never mind the past,
The past won't help you in beginning new,
If you have left it all behind at last
Why, that's enough, you're done with it, you're through;
This is another chapter in the book,
This is another race that you have planned,
Don't give the vanished days a backward look,
Start where you stand.

The world won't care about your old defeats
If you can start anew and win success,
The future is your time, and time is fleet
And there is much of work and strain and stress;
Forget the buried woes and dead despairs,
Here is a brand new trial right at hand,
The future is for him who does and dares,
Start where you stand.

Old failures will not halt, old triumphs aid,
To-day's the thing, to-morrow soon will be;
Get in the fight and face it unafraid,
And leave the past to ancient history;
What has been, has been; yesterday is dead
And by it you are neither blessed nor banned,
Take courage, man, be brave and drive ahead,
Start where you stand.

Fat Jack Falstaff

That he is old more the pity
His white hairs do witness it

If food, wine and beer be a fault
Then God help the wicked

But for a sweet Jack Falstaff
Kind Jack Falstaff
True Jack Falstaff
Valiant Jack Falstaff
Therefore more valiant
Being as he is old Jack Falstaff

Banish not him from your friendship
Banish plump Jack
Then banish all the world

My apologises to Shakespeare !
An adaption from Henry IV

Not There Before

You saved them then
But fell again
The circle’s in the sky

Divided fence
And happenstance
Don’t care if it’s a lie

Tomorrow’s day
Fades into grey
And blue melts into black

As silent sounds
And crushing pounds
Creep in for the attack

An empty stage
And crumpled page
Bleed deep into your brain

Don’t ever sleep
Don’t ever weep
Don’t ever feel the pain

The same old room
Familiar gloom
The same old window’s stare

As tears rain down
Disfigured clown
Why should you even care

But something now
Not there before
Won’t let you go away

A million voices
Fill the air
A million voices pray

Never Too Old

Never too old to start again making wrongs right
And crooked path straight. Not given a license
To procrastinate, but to do what will benefit before
It’s too late.

In the natural realm we’re disregard, and disrespected
And as outcast laid aside. But in God’s economy
Our work has just begun, its such an honor, and blessing
A sense of great pride.

Never to old is your choice and mine the longer we live,
The more we will know. The wisdom we share its
An outburst no fear. Who knows what the outcome
Would be, that can help develop someone to grow.

Never too old one’s as old as they feel it amazes you
The things some old folks get up to, its mind boggling surreal.
I don’t mean in a negative way its all fun and games,
One’s never too old to do anything it’s the mind set that need
To change.

""father Time, the Man, the Bull, the Lion" (New Year08'-09')

""Father Time, The Man, The Bull, The Lion" (New Year08'-09')

leaving the personification of old man time(s) behind
not to forget him, but to restart his heart anew
as elements of two, I could not do

time to end, and start apart~
as if there was no goodbye between the prime of two

now time is used and gone
how, now to move on~

to so change, into something new, something fresh
formed, from old experiences
without old lady uncertainties or her best friend miss doubt
to lead me into afflicted tests of time

now only brand new steps,
will lead me to life's unknown experience~
