Confined, slowly lightness vanishes
Darkness engulfed me
No longer at peace
Tatterdemalion mind,
Has curved me into shard
As I try to escape my mind raddled
Feels like I'm in hoosgow
Slowly hope in me fades
I wait in aweary
Haggard,
Hopelessly,
I am caged,
Within my mind

Rob’n Peter to Pay Jack
by M. Griswold
12222022
Rob'n Peter to pay Paul only to have Jack intervene.
Is beyond all words and is, I'm afraid, totally obscene.
For Peter is pissed that Paul still hasn't got paid,
and Jack's the only one smile'n from all the profits he’s made.
Now Peter is scream'n from the dollars stole from him.
Paul is talk'n ‘bout collections, he's steam'n to the brim.
And Jack's the only one smile'n from all the profits he’s made.
He's sent me a post card from Jamaica of him sip'in lemonade.
Peter has sent the cop's and is charg'n me formally.
Paul has repo'd my truck and has sold it to Jack's company.
And Jack's the only one smile'n from all the profit he’s made.
He's offered to buy my house cheap, so's my bail can be paid.
Peter and Paul are now work'n for Jack, how funny.
I'm in the hoosgow play'n poker, bet'n smokes for money.
And Jack's the only one smile'n from all the profits he’s made.
Cause he's visit'n me in jail and cheats at cards, I'm afraid.
