Greg Poems

Greg the Ram

Whilst grazing quietly in the paddock
Greg the ram contemplated havoc

It had been an exciting fortnight since
He’d made his despairing owners wince

Bored out of his skull by life on the farm
He had decided to chance his arm

Using his thick woolly coat in defense
He'd shot under the electric fence

He busted the neighbours gate latch
And destroyed their vegetable patch

Then spent a couple of happy hours
Trampling on prize winning flowers

The hullabaloo was enormously fun
He was experiencing life on the run!

Whereas life before had been passive
Now his desire for adventure was massive

Now Greg plans escapes all day long
Watching for opportunity to come along

And his owners nerves are shredded
Turns out... Greg is not woolly-headed

Clegg Finished the Legs of Greg

Mag's lover hasn't been seen since.
Mag does nothing but in pain wince.
Her tall Greg was her world,her Prince.
"Once dead Forget A Come-Back means! "

Hoe was popularly Greg's foe;
Thus,his dad's farm refused to grow.
A lot Greg had slept on a mat
And guessed not he'd be adding fat.
Off he had to go for slimming
And with Kung Fu started trimming.

Mag had heard of karate king clegg!
"What could he not do to a leg?
Keeps breaking it as voices beg,
Unless he's served wine: A full keg
The purest tap relieved not of dreg"

"Clegg must've finished the legs of Greg!"

Laura and Exlover Greg

Their Ten–Year Relationship broke;
And this we thought Life’s lashing stroke;
Not that they had their affair snapped
Nor out a handful wrong things mapped…

We all were privy to True Bliss:
The times One would The Other miss.
Triumph could have been Submission,
Love Affair judging Pure Mission;
Four Eyes for Love’s Live Transmission,
For its disc Written Permission…

Well, now, Laura sticks to canned coke,
Her Bitter Ex to Bangkok’s Coke;
Laura trying dresses in vogue,
Ex fighting to not seem A Rogue
The Men around Laura Seven:
“Later, I’ll meet Greg in Heaven!”

Remembering Greg Noll

Riding a giant wave,
dancing with God
Running from the Devil
—to the edge of beyond

Superior specimen of
Beauty, dignity and perfection
What…? Victim of bullying…!?
What kind of world do we live in?

Obviously one full of bullies
Inferior bottom-feeders
Ganging up on anyone who
Shows even the least amount of gentleness

Predators looking for a trace of weakness
Who see benevolence as a flaw
Jealousy gnawing at goodness
Like a swarm of piranhas

Looking for prey who let their guard down
They thrive on destroying
How can they truly not value
Awesomeness before them

Intimated and infuriated by being outshined
With character and strength
Unpretentiousness and inner sanctum
Inspiration to millions who are impressed
