Fri Poems | Examples

fri-end-ship

from the I-shaped metal
we set sail to the ocean
with a pirate crew over dozen
as lightning struck and tide crashes
to go over the horizon together
has always been the X mark we trailed
then there's the cannon boring hole
and the mermaid's enchanting call

to a single pebble, tied to a rugged rope
we drift away to the sea
some survived remained ashore
keeping stone to be afloat
being a rock is to keep adore
a new ship, as the old one's sunken
with few and enough crew
despite the artilleries and the abyss pull

Wild daydreams
have faded into mainstreams;
Pretty please someone pinch me
free.

Flames twofold
a piece of art to behold;
Human nature lead me home,
roam!

Strong rainbows,
they cannot fail to compose!
Maybe if I sleep they’ll build
willed.

Smiles rising
with the Sun at dawn shining;
I blink into a new chance,
dance!

I'm trying,
and I would not be lying:
my life as an Irish Bard's
hard.

It's absurd,
much like working a crossword,
tracking the column and row
though.

So tiring!
Like hooking up the wiring;
after three, I think I'd best
rest.

Blood curdles
the entire room just startles;
Floating a banshee howls loud
proud;

Dire message
of an impending passage;
Not a thing could make this curse
worse.

She's writing;
Her emerald eyes glowing
with imagination's bright
light;

It's spoken
this poetic heart golden.
magic of the rainbow's pot
caught.
