They are off in their CRV, for fun, swimming and sand!
Grandma, the old fogey , however, must stay on land.
Writing poetry to unknown people.
Some who’d love to toss her from a steeple?
She has a few friends there, who do mean so much.
They email her and they do have the Midas touch.
Life has been good to Grandma in more ways than one.
She wishes you happiness, health and relaxing fun.
Her cat waves goodby, oh how both will miss you.
They both wave goodbye, blowing noses in tissue!

An old man in Buffalo
Got toes of unwanted glow
He kicked the banger
On a cliff hanger
Waited for a truck to tow
Antique or dear jalopy
The bloke was on ecstasy
Smoked gum from his tyres
Lit wreck with pliers
Failed his own carbon copy
When rescue came hands on deck
They had no clue who’s the wreck
Chevy was rusty
Owner smelled musty
So they took both by the neck
Pick up onto heart massage
Fogey to a near garage
The crew had a spliff
All had a quick whiff
None wanted more sabotage

this old car gets me from point A to B
it may not be new with modern luxuries
but it is still good enough for me
so please just let it be
my old lazy boy chair may look worn
but it is cozy and keeps me warm
comfy and lumpy what else does a body need
it's still good enough for me
my music may sound out of date
to young folks it does irritate
I won't let that stop me
from singing right along
nothing makes me smile
like those old fogey songs
yes my style may be a little dated
and my youth has long since faded
but I am happy I like me
I can still smile in the mirror
at the face I see
and that's good enough, good enough
good enough for me
