Today is the day you show us your worth.
You recede,
you retract,
a retarded new birth.
This taking motion.
Your body paints on the canvas of its life,
an outpouring of you without control.
An abstract,
a schoolboy erraticism,
in colours not seen by your eye.
They take you.
Your canvas awash with human error,
they break you,
they shape you,
they paint you a colour.
These tones are not yours,
a model,
a floorshow,
with no applause.
All of your motions undetected in this hour.
This world has no time for you,
but you are measured,
in black fingernails,
patches in veins,
stitched lips,
in coolth.
They gift you,
cold,
in this place of warmth,
this home.
Unrecorded timelapse shows majestic animation,
interrupted by fast comings,
and faster goings,
and
teardrop
explosions.
You are home,
your home,
our home.
oh, those years of sit down and be quiet,
of all our shortcomings,
our
hearts
darkest
riot.

Two little girls, with eyes that glow
Are locked out, in the drifting snow
No others home, where did they go
Perhaps to work, maybe a show
Must find shelter, that they know
A strange house, Mom and Dad, say no
Back to school, too far, too slow
No place left to hide, although
One last place, They both might stow
Back in the yard, with Collie Jo
He's their dog, He's watched them grow
He'll keep them warm, that they know
Forget the house, there's no floorshow
Forget the family, until they crow
Forget the wind, and let it blow
But, remember life, death's your foe
Someone will find you, just below
Outside the window, once light does glow
They'll come out, blankets in tow
Kisses and hugs, they will bestow
Their love for you, it will show
A happy end, to a night of woe
Arms all filled, and walking slow
With, two little girls, all hearts aglow
